I dont recommend anyone to rent here. They make up policies to get more money out of you. They will let you reserve a car online, not have that car in person because they cater to clients that they favor so if last minute that client wants the car you booked FIRST. boom that vehicle is given to them. THEN they will try to stick you in a car that you did not book or have no cars at all. The manager Hercules is no help he's the one that controls all of this. He is extremely rude and shady. Spent 20 minutes on the phone with representatives booking a reservation only to arrive and have them tell me there is no reservation and they have no vehicles. Never again. read more

Shady practices! I rented a car here on Friday @ noon, and was told that they had to charge me for 10 days because I had insurance rates (ie. cheaper rate through insurance), even though I told them that I was planning on returning the car in 3 or 4 days. They said that's no problem, that they won't charge me for any days that i don't use, so I agreed. I ended up returning the car on Tuesday @8:25 am, after 4 days, because my original reservation was for 8:30am on Friday so I didn't want to get charged a 5th day. The worker said that they charge a day for the return day so I asked for the Manager. The Manager initially said the same thing, and then he said that the cheaper rates mandate a 5 day rental... well, which is it? Regardless of their policy, i was told that they would not charge me if I returned the car early. There was never, ever, a mention of minimum rental days. We had to visit this Enterprise to rent a car while ours was being repaired. We had to pay a little extra since the only thing available was a small SUV. The place is very busy and crowded so wait time can be lengthy. The car was clean but the tires were always reading low. At the end of our rental I had an issue with the extra fees and taxes on top of the number I was given, but I called and spoke to Hercules who fixed it in a timely matter. read more

Go to any location but this one. The manager was rude as well as everyone else. Had me banned from ever renting from them again. My autistic son was acting out (because of the manager) he accused us of assaulting him. I had called the police because I'd the situation so if we assaulted him I am sure we would have been arrested. I called corporate at least 20 times only to be told someone would get back to me and Nothing not even a phone call to hear my side I have rented from this company so many times without an issue. read more

Rental from hell. Picked up car from White Plains Airport car was dirty next day drove to NC for Vacation went to car in AM flat tire roadside showed up to change tire when they pulled tire off the inside of both back tires had metal showing over 50% of tires, was told unsafe to drive could blow at any time, after dozens of calls it took 3 days to get car changed out. And when I finally got home there was a tire change fee on Bill they sent out a car that was dangerous to drive this was neglect and dangerous the change oil,filter and tire light was on so they must have known the car needed work read more

The staff was so friendly, I was acknowledged as soon as I walked in, I had just came from the 233rd location in Norwood where the guy was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. I've been renting cars from this location for many years and their rates are always high and the last time i rented from them they gave me a dirty car and didnt reduce the rate for not cleaning the outside of the car with all the add on's they have you sign on to your base rate !! Had a great experience at Enterprise on Central Park Avenue. Staff was courteous, confirmed my reservation via phone, was able to get me in my car and on my way in no time. Had to extend the reservation, and that was handled by the team at Enterprise with no problem. My only complaint is that I arranged a taxi to take me from their branch back home, and the taxi was very late. Perhaps they should partner with a local dispatcher or suggest Uber to their customers, but I wouldn't take a star off for this inconvenience. Highly recommend. read more

They provide awesome service . As for the lack of choices in vehicles as the other reviewer mentioned, that would depend because in this particular location i have been renting with them for over a year and i can say i might have had 1 or 2 vehichles that i wasn't too crazy about but they do try their best to be very accommodating and have told me if i'm not happy i can always come back to switch it up. You can tell they really try their best to make their customers happy. In my opinion both Mike and Dan (who's no longer in that location) are exceptional and it's their customer service and treatment that has me going back to the same location. Eek methinks not is right. Horrible horrible HORRIBLE. For starters, the employees look like they hate their jobs. I reserved a midsize car online for my family trip to Florida to leave the next morning, but when I got to the Central Ave. location they sent me to another location (the one on Tuckahoe road, which I will get to...) to pick up the car because they didn't have any at their location even though I previously called to confirm the reservation. When I arrived at the Tuckahoe location (just when they were about to close because of the delay from the first location) they said that the only car they had available for me was a small Nissan Versa. I was pissed. They offered a "discount", which would've been satisfactory to a degree had the car not had the following problems: 1) ONE OF THE BRAKE LIGHTS WAS BURNED OUT (they said I could risk getting the ticket or I could buy the bulb and replace it, both of which I would be compensated for) so I changed the bulb myself in order to not run the risk of getting pulled over on my long drive down to FL 2) THE WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE (driving nearly 1,200 miles to Florida in this car was a headache and a half) 3) THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WERE TRASH (down south rain + crummy wipers = very unhappy campers). It left the windshield very foggy which made it difficult to see the road in front. I reserved a midsize car for a reason; being in a small car like that was miserable. All in all, very unpleasant experience and I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Never again. read more

I was asked by Enterprise to provide a review. I have been renting at this location for years - in fact since they opened. I am well known to most of the staff and have enjoyed a great relationship with the former manger, Rob; and very much appreciate the courtesy, professionalism and kindness of Hercules. Unfortunately the new manager Peter does not himself posses these qualities. When I took my rental all four tires were showing low pressure on the dashboard indicator. I pointed this out and was told, "it was cold last night, it will go away". As a former Enterprise employee ( Box trucks), I was surprised by this response - a good Enterprise ambassador would never let a care off the lot with any indicator lights illuminated. I returned a few hours later because the lights were still illuminated. Peter, without getting out from behind his desk, asked the porter to check the tires. And that was it. Peter did not attend to it himself, did not apologize, but rather said, "If you have problems Ill be at the other location tomorrow". Now, what if I was going out of town? What if there was a larger problem with the tires and their pressure? Upon the rental return Peter again did not leave from behind his desk. After completing my return I approached Peter to let him know in a kind manner that his customer service was a bit off. Peter was dismissive of my comments and took them sitting down with this feet up. In the past I often lamented the jocular culture of Enterprise employee's, and I have been very pleased to see that this culture, up until now, has been absent from the Central Ave. location. Our contact at enterprise had just what we needed and was great under pressure. A local Acura dealership had just sent over a boatload of recall customers and the guy there was still able to get to us an in a reasonable amount of time. I did call ahead letting him know we needed a minivan and an SUV wouldn't work as a substitute (we were buying a large TV we had to pick up). I recommend giving them ample time and calling ahead if you need something specific as while they have a ton of vehicles - most of them are out on the road making money (which is why the lot can look empty) and it can take some fancy footwork for them to find something specific. read more

Enterprise told me, call 20 minutes before you need the car. Over 1 hour later, no car. So I went with Hertz.

We make a reservation, get a price quote, and get exactly what we order with no hidden fees. I can't say enough how much I appreciate that. When I arrive at their office to pick up my car, I am always pleasantly surprised by how quickly I can get into my rental car without a bunch of paperwork, and how easy it is to return it. The other major reason we keep going back to the Yonkers Enterprise is their terrific pick up & drop off service. This is a great convenience for us. We use Enterprise everywhere we travel in the U.S. Their airport rental offices also have super friendly staff, and it's always very fast to get in and out of the car rental lot.
