Customer Service Regional Manager tried to contact me via phone twice--I called back and texted several times to discuss the experience, the dissatisfaction. This regional mgr just ghosted my wife and I. Called back the general customer service number in reference to the complaint--this third representative assured they'd follow up and have a regional mgr contact us. That hasn't happened. Good job Enterprise... you collectively revealed what fumbling the ball and kicking the can looks like with this company. Angela and Greg failed to rent me a car and stranded me in Tucson overnight away from my family, out of their complete ineptitude and lack of emotional intelligence. Beware, because if you attempt to hold the employees at this location accountable for their poor communication and terrible service, then they will pull the "you're being rude so we don't have to rent you a car" card. I got up to find Angela after she left me and other customers waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes alone after closing on a Friday night. Before she vanished, she said she was going to find the keys for my car. When I got outside and found Greg, I informed him of what happened and suggested that I would like some consideration and at least know what is going on. Big mistake, because apparently, Greg did not like my "tone of voice", and from there, everything fell apart. When Angela reappeared, she wouldn't speak to me and they both implied I wouldn't be getting a car. There was no yelling, no name calling, no profanity whatsoever, just an attempt to ask questions and get clarity about what was going on. I got Angela to calm down and understand that I was merely trying to have a discussion that any reasonable customer in my situation would want. After claiming I was being "argumentative" about how long she had vanished, she continued to push the exact same argument after I had agreed to drop it and move on. I finally got them to agree to rent me the car, as I had no other option to get home. When I went outside for the exterior check and payment for the car, Greg ran my card in his tablet and said it didn't work and that he couldn't run it a second time. So, I reluctantly proceeded with another credit card. That card didn't work. I gave him a debit card. That card didn't work. Tried a 4th card, and guess what?! It didn't work. I suggested to Greg that maybe it was his tablet that was the issue. Well, Greg really didn't like that and he stopped trying to help me. He claimed that "all 5 of my cards must have a chip problem" instead of considering that the tablet might be the issue. As I was holding my last card out for him to try, the tablet died to a black screen from low battery. I looked at him in disbelief, as the whole time, he stood there insistent that me & my cards were the problem. This was at 6:30 p.m., 30 minutes after closing. After realizing his incredible failure, he got very nervous and would not do anything else but suggested I try another location. I am actually in shock for being treated in this manner. I will never rent from Enterprise and suggest that both of these employees be terminated ASAP. read more

don' ever,ever rent a car from this enterprise location. rented car on 9 june thru aaa insurance and ford collision. returned car on 13 june. car provided had warning for oil chane needed now. a day later got warning that battery in key was low. kept wondering if i was going to get locked out of car. ford collision called enterprise on 13 june to tell them car was returned with full fuel tank. picked up my repaired car and drove to enterprise. had lady put on my rental info that car returned 13 june. lady said invoice would be sent to me by email. i have yet to get my final invoice. aaa called wanted to know about repair and rental car. they said they would contact enterprise and get my invoice. never, never rent from this company. read more

I booked a reservation months in advance only to have it fall apart on the day I was supposed to leave for a vacation planned a year ago. Got there a little early hoping they could honor my reservation. Well they couldn't and they didn't seem to care. THANKS to the SPEEDWAY location I'm a happy camper and my vacation went as planned and was able to leave as planned. I will NEVER use the 22nd/Kolb location again. Let me just say, I have a natural inclination to avoid rental places at all costs. My experiences with them have been terrible, with them throwing in unnecessary additional costs to rack up the price last minute for me. I was very pleased to find this location to be a breath of fresh air. Everyone I interacted with at this location was extremely polite and professional. They didn't pressure me to rent a Cadillac when a Ford Fiesta was sufficient. They explained the additional add-ons and what they felt were and weren't necessary. Michael was even kind enough to comp me a few dollars for the Uber that I'd taken to get there. The vehicle was clean and gave me no issues driving back and forth from Phoenix, and returning it was a speedy and efficient process. They even gave me a ride back home to save me a few extra dollars! I still find myself disappointed with the prices of most rental places, but I suppose paying roughly $60 for a 24 hour rental (plus damage protection) isn't the worst. Customer service was truly the shining light with this experience, so if you're concerned about hidden costs and shady salesman tactics, you can rest assured that you'll be taken care of here. read more

When it comes to professionalism it doesn't seem to reach the manager. If you ever so attempt to bring to their attention that the vehicle has issue, he will argue with you, And belittle you. If you rented a blue Nissan kicker that has shifting issues they never fixed vehicle. I drive a manual I was going 80 mph on the I-10. But the vehicle couldn't seem to not idle under 5000 RPM. On top of telling him the issues of the vehicle, he proceeded to give me a (Mini Van) then when my paperwork states that I should only be receiving an intermediate sedan. As I come back and complain that the vehicle is way too big for me to be driving he gives me another issue and complains that he doesn't have people three times a week coming in changing cars. I wouldn't have had to come in if your vehicle was working right and if you gave me the right vehicle that states in my paperwork to begin with. The van was never a minivan. Horrible service!! Nobody told me I needed to have a credit card to rent a car and I had reservations for 3 weeks. So when I get there and they tell me I need a credit card, I was mad. So I had to ask my mother to sign up and add me as a second driver even thought she wasn't even riding in the car at all. Took me over an hour to go get her and her car then we get there and start to look over the car. The man that checked my rental for dings and such beforehand was rude to me from the get go. Then the credit card declined so I said "forget it, I'm done" already irritated with the entire situation. He then proceeded to yell at me that I am no longer "allowed" to rent a car from enterprise as a whole ever again. So I told him to shove it up his ass. Then he tells my mother that I slammed the car door after she said he was acting inappropriately. He was insanely rude from the start and they all gave me a run around. I will be complaining to his supervisor for sure. Go to another location, trust me. read more

Ugh, I hate writing bad YELP reviews. This is only my second one. I love giving 5 stars, but I want to help people out, so here goes. I WILL NEVER RENT A CAR FROM THIS ENTERPRISE AGAIN. I have learned that Enterprise is sort of a hit or miss organization and although this is not the first problem I have had with this business, I have had some positive experiences AT OTHER LOCATIONS!!! I had taken my car to the shop and the "other guys" insurance was footing the bill so they are the ones who set me up with this car rental. They put me in a Mazda 6 that was filthy. I asked for a different car and the sales associate told me that if I wanted a different vehicle I would have to pay more so I reluctantly accepted the car making sure the stained seats were noted on my receipt. My car took longer to repair than anticipated and I returned my rental 12 days later. The next morning I received a nasty call informing me that I had "trashed the car" and was being charged $75 for detailing. I spoke with the manager who was equally rude even though they had a copy of my receipt. I acknowledged that in 12 days obviously a little dirt would get in the car but not to the extent they were saying and referred them to the receipt. Of course they wouldn't budge. A similar incident happened to my family at another Enterprise. I am convinced that this is just one of they ways they make money...through misrepresentation and taking advantage of clients. I have filed a complaint through the Better Business Bureau. read more

Enterprise has the best rental deals of any car rental place I know of. We rent about 15 times a year and use them whenever we can. They drive to you and pick you up and bring you back to the rental place, you sign the papers and off you go. When you return the car, they drive you to your destination and drop you off. Tips. Always ask for the smallest car and they never have it when you get there so they give you a bigger car at the rate for the smaller car. Very often you can rent a car on weekends for $9.99. always check for this option This pick up and drop off is no big deal if you are flying into an airport (where else would fly into) and will be flying out of the airport BUT think!!! If you use the hotel shuttle to pick you up at the airport and to drop you off, you can rent for 2 less days. Even better, if you are staying for a while you might rent for 2 or 3 times and have the rental place picking you up and dropping you off and save even more. The founder of Enterprise was a fighter pilot in WW2 who flew off of the USS Enterprise ( a member of the greatest generation) and is one of the reasons you are not speaking Japanese today. Enterprise was quick and convenient when I needed a rental while my car was in the shop. They provided transportation to and from the collision center, and the process was reasonably painless. My sole issue with the experience was the odor inside the rental car. Despite several no-smoking stickers, the car had the strong foul odor of tobacco smoke, mixed with an equally-foul powerful masking odor like an air "freshener". It made driving the car unpleasant and frequently required me to set the A/C to outside air rather than re-circulating air in order to reduce it. Enterprise also charged me 5 days of their basic insurance protection, despite having the car for slightly less than 4 days, because they charge based on calendar days. I suppose this is standard practice for rentals, so I didn't take a star off the review for it. I picked up the rental car around 10am on Monday and returned it at 9:30am on Friday. I would certainly have been happier if they charged me for 4 days instead. read more

Where do I begin? Maybe by lamenting the fact that there is no zero stars option. I rent cars from this location at least 3 times a year. Usually the service is decent. Not this time. I rented a car and there was a change made by me, in the pick up time and drop off date. The drop off time remained the same. My first issue was with the car I was given, I had originally asked for what they said could be a Nissan altima, dodge charger or Chevy impala. I got a Mercury Grand Marquis, which is to most people an upgrade. I rather have a mid size car. Not everyone wants to be driving around in a boat sized vehicle, that although long had very little leg room. I asked if there was anything else I could get and the answer was, another Marquis. I guess I had no choice did I? When I returned the car, I had issues with the billing. Which was double what I had been quoted on-line. Now I understood I made the changes, but I asked initially if the price would increase when I made arrangements for an earlier pickup time. I was told NO increase in price. When I arranged to drop off a day later, I was hang up on by the person on the phone before I could even ask how much more. I was asked what my name was and told the changes would be made. And then the person hung up the phone, not even an "anyhting else I can do for you." Could I have called back, absolutely, but I was on freaking vacation people, and calling enterprise because they lack the basic customer service skills is not how I want to spend it. Finally, when I returned the car, I was a little shocked by the price. I understood the price would change, but not by $100 dlls! So I was trying to understand why the price had increase so much. The woman that was helping us was so rude throughout this whole process, she was making things so much worse. When I had to prove my original price, I showed her the confirmation email on my phone. I scrolled right to the priced and showed her. She took my phone scrolled to the bottom, and said that this was the price I had to pay today. That's when things got ugly. Very often when I'm being presented with something I don't very clearly understand I try to make sense of it by repeating it out loud to someone else. Which is exactly what I was trying to do with my husband. The woman that was "helping" us was constantly interrupting me. Now I understand that billing in some situations can be confusing. That's part of my job, explaining billing to customers, and if anything, I have learned to let the customer speak, and DON'T interrupt them. This woman kept interrupting me, and at one point, when I told her I was given inaccurate information by one of the store employees, she told me: "We do not give out wrong information, we do this 100 times a day and..." I couldn't take it, this time I interrupted her and told her that I didn't care how many times she did this, because this time they got it wrong. Did I mention that the other employee there, was not even able to operate the copy machine and that she had to walk away from our conversation to help her. But they don't give out wrong information...ok. At one point I just told her to charge it to my card. She grabbed my paperwork and while holding it by the edge with the tip of her fingers said: Do you want this? Really? I just agreed to pay you and you are going to give me an attitude and piss me off even more? I was so mad. At no point was there an apology for the misunderstanding. Because even if I was wrong, I wasn't being unreasonable. I was simply trying to understand. This could have gone a lot better had she not been so rude and condescending, a little more patience and a simple I understand your frustation, or I apologize for the misunderstanding, would have sufficed and made the whole thing a lot easier. Yet it turned out very wrong. I was so upset by this situation that it took me a while to write this review. I will not go back to enterprise. I will not recommend this location to anyone. I'll be sending enterprise a copy of this review. read more

Highly recommend, originally booked on hotwire.com which was great, however called enterprise location to assure the car reserved met our needs. They went above and beyond to make sure we got a great rate on the car that we needed for our trip. They even went as far as letting us know we had paid for a week rental and that we didn't have to be back for 7 days, that made our trip even more enjoyable, we were able to come home unload and drive in the next day to return the car, no stress, we live rurally so it makes it nice not to rush back from our trip, unload and drive back to return the car!!!! Awful is an understatement, used one of their rentals while my car was being repaired and left behind auxiliary cords by accident that are for company use. Reported it was told I'd receive a call back or email... nothing, not sure why they feel the need to steal 12, 25 foot cords meant for old people's tv but to each his own. I use enterprise almost every other month to travel for work. I can definitely vote never to use them again. Not to mention David pierce offers a free day since I attempted to scrape leftover gun from previous user and when I show up to utilize the free day guess what? I have been renting from Enterprise for about 10+ years now. But this new (appx 1 year old) hire at the Kolb Enterprise will make me change rental companies. She refused to have me dropped off today (you would think after renting the car for a month, I could at least get dropped off at home). She also refused for me to keep the rental car even after she charged me for an extra day (1 month 1 day at still can't get a ride home per their policy). It seems as for every time I go up there she has to find some reason to make things hard for me. I have more examples but I guess it's time to move on. read more

I am going to very honest I wish I could give them no stars, I am in need of a rental and I never had the experience of renting a car before I've heard that enterprise is one of the best places to rent a car from. Well my experience didn't go like that, the branch manager was the one that was handling my transaction and to be quite honest with you she was very disrespectful she was lacking the necessary knowledge to inform me of the given materials to bring and instead of letting me know that I need several items to be brought to her she tells me first I need to bring a certain amount of money I go and come back than she's says that I need a lease agreement and a recent bill and three references, that's not what bothers me what others me is the fact that she can't take feed back she said it's just because I didn't answer a phone call and she justifies herself on way she has me leaving and coming back several times within ten minutes and honestly I really am extremely concerned that she allowed her emotions to be implemented into the situation and now I don't have a car like who else has gone through this struggle with her as well, that's how I would be looking at it if I was a owner. I only wanted to get a car and she wanted a power struggle. I just can not believe that a branch manager treated me so poorly. The only thing I informed her as anyone else that would be stuck in my situation is that I'm extremely frustrated that I have to leave and drive far to bring you another thing when I could have done it all at once. Please fix the management at this location I am extremely hurt and setback because she couldn't provide me with the correct customer care. read more

I never had to get a rental car for myself before. Unfortunately after an accident of getting rear ended I needed to get one and I was referred to enterprise. On a positive note, they were very helpful and received insurance information right away for the car to be paid for. There were however too many negatives so I had to give a lower rating. First when I went there were no cars available so I had to come back later (meanwhile I didn't have a car because it was in the shop so I had to rely on parents taking me back and forth). I received a very nice car, though it was a bit dirty on the windows but not that big of a deal but I would have liked a completely clean car on the outside then having to wash the windows myself. After a couple of days I then noticed I had a car with an expired license, it was expired two days before I got it. I ended up calling enterprise and everytime I called they said it would be in the next day. It never came. Meanwhile I'm driving around with an expired license kind of hesitant that a cop would pull me over. After having the car 12 days I still never got an updated license. The car was great to drive and I was sad to return it. But then anther negative I was charged extra $ that I didn't know what was for. The only thing I knew I owed was the accident liability insurance ($15 a day which became expensive!!) But this extra fee came out of no one. I then called again and they said it was a credit, it wasn't a credit that was taken out of my account. So needless to say I got tired of calling them and just needed to move on from the accident to a less than adequate car that got fixed from being rammed into. I was pretty disappointed. Maybe I have higher expectations but especially for those who have been in accidents, car rentals should be a bit easier t deal with. read more
