Does not care about anything beside filling her register. Enterprise in Rhinelander were very professional and reliable. They helped me when I was stuck with no vehicle at my cabin. They went out of their way to pick me up and take me to their office to get a rental to have for the weekend and to drive home which was over 3 1/2 hours away. Great customer service. read more

Had a rental through insurance due to my vehicle being hit. Enterprise was easy enough to work with and very accommodating. The Rhinelander office personnel were very friendly and professional. The gentleman at the office was pleasant. Most of my dealing/interaction was with Ashley. The vehicle was upgraded due to availability. Picked up the vehicle... 2021 Equinox. The vehicle handled well and was easy enough to manage... the push button start was a bit to get used to lol! Ashley called and verified the vehicle was working for my needs. Rented a vehicle for two weeks. Was returning on a Saturday, but was told they weren't open on weekends for the return. I asked about a key drop and verification process on the weekend to save on one day's rental (versus dropping it off on Monday). He pointed out the key drop and said he would drive by the lot on Sunday to verify the return. We followed the process as explained. When I received the bill, it had rental fee until Monday. After consulting with them, the clerk doesn't recall the conversation, and says "we are closed on the weekends, why would I come by on Sunday". So frustrating, when we had an understanding of the process for weekend drop-off, and then it wasn't honored. I would not recommend this establishment. read more

First of all the communication with these guys was great. Then when I got there I was upgraded no charge to a beautiful Nissan Maxima with the most awesome deer-finding headlights ever. Seriously back home to my car it's like I don't even have headlights. They called when I had the car to make sure I was happy then called a couple of days after to make sure I had a good experience. I had a rental car reserved for me. Rhinelander River Drive location. I had totaled my car and had no way to pick up the rental. They sent a car to pick me up to take me to get the car. The van they sent was the most awful van I have ever tried to get in to. I am disabled, but apparently, others who were picked up in this van also had difficulty getting into the passenger seat way in the back per the driver. He said most ppl sit on the edge of the entrance and swing themselves in. Next thing I know, I'm rolling around in the back on the floor trying to right myself. I couldn't even pull myself up using the seat as it was tipped back so far. I had to roll onto my knees which are ready for knee replacements! No help from the driver. Yes, got a deal on a car, I thought was an SUV, but it turned out it was a van. This was done at night and cold out. The attendant didn't even know all the features and kept saying, "well you had a Rav4 didn't you?" This was not the same as to the features needed to drive it. Attendant put the lights on and was like, ok. Why was the steering wheel burning my hands, why was the seat burning my butt? Couldn't find how to change the settings. Attendant was of really no help as I mentioned these things to him. He wasn't sure himself how to change the settings. So off I went with what I later found out to be a big ass van. Couldn't even back it out of my garage as there wasn't enough room. I struggled and did eventually get out of my garage and turned around. My return time was 1 p.m. I was 3 minutes late and they called in a tizzy saying they had many pickups to do. I was at the gas station across the street, putting in the required fill up. It was like a cattle drive when I got to store. Attendant was outside my vehicle and she was just about yelling for me to get out, "we're busy with a lot of pick ups here!" So I jumped out of the van, not even being able to think, grabbed my personal things, all but my 2 garage door openers on the visor. Didn't think about them until I was home in that God-awful van, which I had brought a stool with me to get into due to the problems I had upon pick up. Called the office and told them about my garage door openers. I asked if they could mail them to me. Oh No! I'd had to pick them up or send them a box with return postage on it. Duh, they know I had no car. I can't get to a post office (4 miles away), have no neighbors or friends with cars. I asked if someone out of the goodness of their hearts could take a little time to send these little openers in the mail to me. They flat out refused. They said they'd hold them for me. It could be a month before I get a new vehicle. They'll probably misplace or lose them by that time. They said they aren't responsible for my personal items. A little thing that could help me out was flat out denied. I think someone could, if they wanted to, get my openers back to me. No mercy! So here I sit worrying about my garage door openers getting lost at Enterprise until I find a new car and am able to get to their office. Let's just say that if I worked there and this same situation came up, I'd be more than happy to go out my way a little to go to a post office and mail the garage door openers back. Wouldn't cost much and I'd be helping a customer. I'm very unhappy with this whole experience! If I ever had to rent a car again, unfortunately, this is the only place 40 miles from my house that rents cars via car insurance coverage. Otherwise, I'd really have to think twice to ever rent another Enterprise Rental Vehicle! read more

Literally NEVER have cars to rent. I have made reservations on two different occasions, received a confirmation, then upon arrival am told that they have no cars. How can you take a reservation and then not have a car available? (Is this an episode of Seinfeld?) They tell me they have tried to contact me, but don't have a number. Which makes no sense, as my phone number is clearly included on the reservation. WORST RENTAL CAR PLACE EVER. read more

I have had good experiences renting cars from them in the past (more than 5 years ago), so I am not saying that they are a bad company. However, in July I arranged online to rent a car from them at the airport, only to be told, when I called them, that they had no car for me and that I must rent, instead, from Alamo, which has a desk at the airport. However, Alamo gave me an estimate of $534 more for the 3-week rental than Enterprise had, so I hesitated. After hearing from the Enterprise rep that she would "work with me" on getting a refund for the $534 after I had turned in the car, I reluctantly rented from Alamo. Weeks later, after sending the same Enterprise rep my invoice from Alamo, having her say "got to speak to my manager" and waiting some more, I gave up and turned to the BBB. read more

Reserved a vehicle on 08/20/11 for 10/19 to 10/21. I even received a reminder confirmation about one week prior to rental. When I showed up at the office, there was a message tacked on the door, be back shortly. We waited. After about 15 minutes, I went back up to the door and noticed a phone number to call. I was just about to call when a young man came up carrying a clipboard. He said are you here to rent a car and I said yes, I have a reservation. He then said, I don't have any vehicles going out today. I said yes you do, mine and showed him the paperwork which he did not acknowledge or look at. The man then said he did not think he had any rentals going out. At this time, he opened the door, sat at his computer, never even asking my name or reservation, began clacking keys like he was typing and said that I was late and he was four vehicles short for the day and had to release my reservation. (Second excuse, totally different from his first excuse.) I said what does that mean, even though he was the one not even in the office on time. He said that he did not have ANY vehicles and would not be able to help me. I was never sent an email or called etc., about this in advance that they did not have a vehicle. I rented two months prior. I showed up 15 minutes late for a reservation and then he was 15 minutes late (which by my estimation would make him late by half an hour) for a car I reserved TWO months prior. Still have not heard back from the enterprise complaint department. I had to give this crappy clerk one star in order to post, but really not worth one. read more

We have found this Enterprise to be very wonderful to work with. They have always tried hard to please. They are very accommodating and we have found their prices to be very affordable. read more
