There's always one slightly rotten apple in every Enterprise branch I've been to that mildly ruins the experience. This one has one too - it'll be obvious who if you ever go in, because all but one person there is friendly, laid back, helpful and efficient. But I wouldn't hold it against that person because it doesn't seem to be personal, and it's not like it translate to negligence. But if you go in completely unaware, it might ruin your day/general impression of Enterprise. Otherwise my rental experience was relatively painless. The employees are very courteous and efficient, and I was out of there in a reasonable amount of time despite how busy they seem to be all the time. The cars I had were new... I brought one back because of minor problems, and they simply replaced it with a different car without giving me any trouble. If for some reason you rent from here but aren't in their pick up range, it's next to a trolley stop and a 41B stop, so it's pretty convenient access. We were told that we would have a larger SUV for our vacation. We booked it 3 weeks in advance. When we got there our car was unavailable. Rather than trying to make it right - the colleague and his manager chose to blame the national call desk. When I asked for them to reach out to regional management - we were told that they were on maternity leave and that the responsibility was delegated to branch managers. Personally, if I reserve something I expect to receive that item. If something falls through by the company that makes the reservation, I expect diligence and sincerity from the colleagues I'm dealing with to make it right. This did not occur. With an email confirmation and being checked in, I received a call the day of my reservation at 7:45 in the morning informing me that they didn't have a car for me....mind you my pick up was suppose to be at 10:30! Why confirm and check me in? Completely UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! read more

My rental car experience was totally off the chain! It began with the young man who picked me up, (he was so considerate and kind) to Katie Finder, the assistant manager. If I need to rent a car again, this location is at the top of my list. read more

I had a vehicle reserved on Monday, Oct 4. I went to pick it up and I was told upon arriving it would be ready for me at 11:00. I got there at 1:30 and was told by the manager at the West Liberty Avenue Enterprise that it was given to someone else. I was stunned. I was NEVER told I had to be there at 11:00 ON THE DOT nor did I receive a phone call asking if I was still coming for the vehicle because someone else needed it. The manager did NOT care, he said, "This is how it works, I'll see if I can get you another one later today or tomorrow." Just then, another customer walked in and he looked at me and said, "This lady has a reservation if you wouldn't mind." I was totally shocked and appalled! I also had reservation through Erie Insurance that he just gave away. He was NEVER apologetic, NEVER tried looking for another vehicle, nor did he give two cares in the world! He pushed me aside to wait on someone else. I sat there for approx 30 mins and realized he wasn't even going to try to help me. We got up to walk away and I was very kind, looked at him, and said, "If you find anything, would you please give me a call?" He basically said sure with a brush off. I knew I would NEVER get a call back. Yet, I kept my cool and was very kind the entire time. I, of course, had to call them back hours later. I spoke with Sam, who was courteous, diligent, sweet, and did everything he could to help me. I will contact Erie Insurance and ask why they choose Enterprise to do business with when customers are treated this way. read more

THIS OFFICE IS FREQUENTLY (NOT ALWAYS) GROSSLY UNDERSTAFFED AND UNDER-INVENTORIED. AND THIS MAKES NO SENSE TO ME CAUSE ITS A VERY BUSY LOCATION WITH ALL THE DEALERSHIPS IN LESS THAN A MILE PROXIMITY. i truly don't fully understand what the breakdown is here. this location is either spot on or so far off that you want to slit your wrists. the service level is lacking consistency reliability and efficacy. i heard they recently cleaned personnel house, but it seems it wasn't enough. in the best cases, employees are friendly helpful courteous and try to do the right thing. BUT there is so much process or systems breakdown it makes all that moot. missed reservations, lacking inventory, crummy and broken down fleet vehicles, rentals not being prepared properly for delivery, pickup problems (late/no show), no guarantee of anyone answering the phone (which to me is flat out unacceptable). the branch manager and area/district/regional seem to not be able to resolve the problems--or don't care--and possibly cannot get the support they need from the management chain. the reason i say don't care is because remediation is not handled well inter-personally (argue with you or challenge your statements or opinions) or problem solving wise. so customer goodwill is iffy--hit or miss. today i'm still waiting to hear from someone on a complaint from last week. if corporate is dictating staffing rations they need to do a better job. if castle shannon would pick me up i would give them a shot but they refuse because of my distance. ENT CORPORATE YOU NEED TO GIVE THIS LOCATION SOME TLC AND MONITORING AND IF YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM YOU NEED TO STOP. IF YOU AREN'T PLEASE MAKE THIS LOCATION ACCOUNTABLE. read more

They were very dishonest with me about the actual price I'd be paying. I rented a car from them and was quoted at $268 total. I wanted to extend the rental to a 2 week period so I called and was told over the phone that my new total price would be $650. When I showed up to return the car they showed me a bill for $1060. When I explained to them that this was different from the amount they quoted me over the phone they basically told me I was out of luck and to go pound salt. The woman at the counter was somewhat rude and accused me of making the whole thing up. They may not have intentionally lied to me, but someone who worked there misinformed me. This place needs to be more careful about what they tell people over the phone. read more

In a nutshell, these guys suck. I don't know if it's limited to this location or if it's just the company in general, but I am given a hard time and lied to about pricing every time I have had to use them. They have unfortunately been the most convenient option over the past year, which is why I have used them a handful of times. After my most recent experience, however, I don't care how convenient they are, they are scumbags. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else for a rental car. read more

The employees at Enterprise have never given me anything but above satisfactory service. I use the West Liberty branch every week for work and cannot say enough good things about them. Very friendly and quick. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

They tried to get me to pay for prior damage I pointed out when picking up the car. They stated the prior damage (dent, scrapes and scratches) did not count to be written down. When dropping off the car all of a sudden the prior damage was a huge issue. They sent me a $754.39 bill for the prior damage. I contacted care@enterprise.com multiple times with out a resolution or any useful information or explanation. I had to track down the regional manager. Perfect example of a "ding and dent" scam. Be careful when dealing with Enterprise and just don't rent here ever! read more

I've been renting cars at this location for over 5 years. Recently, since I had to drop my car off at a dealership for repairs, I've rented 4 cars within 2 weeks. 2 of them I had to return and switch up. One - cause it had strong cigarette smell. Other one - fur and stained seats and middle console. Although the guys were always there to get me a new ride, having to drive back to switch a car every other time I rent one is getting frustrating. Being close to my house, I keep coming back to this rental place but if this continues, I will probably reconsider and take a longer drive to rent a car. read more

John took really good care of us & did everything he could do accommodate our situation. We ended up needing to extend our rental for another day last minute & it all went smooth. I rented for a trip out of state.....The car was alright, but there was a minor problem or so I thought with it while out of town....I was told call the 800 number or take my chances on driving it back....so I went to the local office where I was at while away and they were a sight more helpful actually than the response I got on the phone to the branch I rented from.....saying that, it is the first time I have had a negative experience in any way from this company previously. read more
