I picked a regular sedan and the first time I showed up and it was actively being shown right in front of me to someone else... lol. They put me in an SUV for a cheaper price (fine by me) however, the first SUV I got into reeked of cigarette smell. Really unfortunate that people do this in rental cars but more so that enterprise allowed that car to be in their rental stock when it was clearly not ready to go out. Fortunately there was another SUV available and I took that one, although at that point it was really my only option. The second time I came by they were completely out of stock except for a minivan. This was inconvenient for me as I was traveling for work to DC where parking is generally pretty tight. They weren't able to offer any flexibility although the reservation had been made in advance. It drove fine but just expect to show up and get put into a random vehicle. Upon inspecting the minivan, parts of it had clearly not been cleaned. The center console was full of trash and the cup holders in both cars I've rented have been super sticky and gross. Cleanliness is not a huge priority for them. Overall if I have to rent for a few days I am not super picky so I'll deal, but if you want to know what you're driving ahead of time and expect the car to be super clean, I would either lower your expectations or go elsewhere. They do a very average job. Cville is not a major city though so not sure how booming the car rental industry is here anyway... for a small town this meets expectations. The people who work here are super nice though! Not sure how people have had bad interactions with them. I'm sure if you yell and complain and expect them to sit there with a smile you'll be disappointed. Lead with respect and they'll match your energy. They've been easy to work with in my experience so far.

It was a full size Ford Expedition with more than 32000 miles on the odometer. On the plus side, the car was clean and functional. It's just a hog to park and will probably be a rather expensive tank to fill up. It's a short walk from the rental desk to the lot. If it's raining, you are going to get wet.

I called Drumheller's (they were the first to pop up in my search) and I asked to schedule a tow to a shop to put in a new battery. The lady on the phone informed me that one of her guys could come out first thing (7AM) and run a diagnostic check on the car to make sure it was just the battery. If it was, he could replace it right then and there! I called back in the morning at 6:15 and the guy was at our front door by 7AM. Sure enough, it was the battery! So he replaced it, ran my credit card, and I was only 30 minutes behind getting to work. Without Drumheller's I'm not sure how long it would have taken me to get everything taken care of this morning. I highly recommend them!!!

( I forgot) When I called to ask for it,They said it was already rented right after,I returned? Now I spoke to Head quarters regarding this situation, (1)They didn't put a report on lost and found. (2) They didn't inspect the car interior?(3)They lied and couldn't get there story correctly the woman woth a heavy accent told me that the car would be returned on August 19,2025? I went there in person on August 19,2026 and. On she stated that they returned the car on August 18,2026? Didn't inform me at all..as a so call customer service should do like a professional does..They should of been handle in a better professional way! It's an item ( a gift to me,something anyone could of forgotten but no action was taken. I already reported it to the head quarters.If they can't do their job right than,they should get fired or retrained again because your dealing with customers, who pay. Only 24 hours an items goes missing??
