Horrible experience with this specific enterprise location. One of the workers "John" is very rude and gives off a demeanor that he does not care and that he's in charge if you go on your trip or not.Long story short. I reserved a pick up truck to travel. I called to confirm my pick up and arrival time to pick up the truck. John asked me to hold on and he is checking on my reservation. I sat on hold for about 30 minutes waiting for him "to check on my reservation" John finally came around to pick up the phone and just said hello and hung up on me. During the pick up time I was told that they gave the vehicle I reserved away to another customer this is why they kept me on hold and did not confirm my reservation and in addition that they locked the door where I could not work out another reservation. I eventually just went to Avis/Budget to rent another vehicle without the hassle of "John"and enterprise. I would stay away from this enterprise location. Note to Enterprise as a business get rid of the worker "John" at this location. He's bad for your business. read more

Revising this: Called back and this entire time I was working with Sam. He initially told me I could exchange the vehicle at 2pm. He called back and instantly let me switch it over to a vehicle that is clean and an acceptable rental. I'm very thankful for the customer service her provided and the change made. Thank you Sam!! Changed from 3 stars to five because this issue was managed very well. Maybe ditch that nasty SUV though. I would give a 5 star for customer experience with the employees and service provided. It's this car they feel that's an acceptable rental that I have a serious issue with. The 2021 Chevy Trax is what they had available for me. It's a rental via my insurance company for being rear ended and getting my car repaired. I have a new Lincoln...this is nowhere comparable. The seats are heavily soiled, the trunk area is cracked and broken and the light on the back is literally taped in and barely stable. This is not an appropriate rental at all. When I commented, I was told that it's normal wear and tear. I'm sorry but my normal wear and tear doesn't involve whatever happened to these seats. I'm not pleased this is what I'm told to drive and feel a replacement is necessary. You guys should have a bit more pride in your vehicles and inventory or penalize people returning vehicles like this. read more

This is the worst place ever, I drove my friend's semi from Miami to Ocala, so the day before we called them and made a reservation to pickup a car in morning, when I got there, they just said to me, unfortunately we do not have any cars available as of now, why don't sit outside and wait or go home if something comes up we will call you. The worst Specifically requested non smoking vehicle when I made my reservation Vehicle I got stunk of cigarettes They still insisted it was a non smoking car. My reservation also specified a full size vehicle I requested another vehicle and was told all that was available was a Kia Soul so I decided since I only needed one day I would take the smelly car and drive with the windows open The person writing up the rental said he needed to check the gas I turned the car on and the tank was almost empty he said it was not a problem I could bring it back empty so now the first thing I would have to do is stop and get gas. I was pissed and let them know it The asshole that runs the place asked me for the keys and said they would not do business with me took my stuff and told him I would never use Enterprise again. read more

I travel a lot for work so this location is very convenient for me. Additionally the staff is always helpful and ensuring I am happy with my rental before and after my trip. If I am dissatisfied with a car Chris and his team have done a great job at getting me something else (mostly people prior have smoked it the car after agreeing to the terms that they won't -- incredibly frustrating for all parties). I like that they are sometimes able to coordinate a pick up and drop off for me since I don't have anyone to usually to drop me off. I see a few bad reviews about them so I felt it was necessary to share my experience for those who live nearby. The office is always clean and though the team is small, they work very hard to run a smooth operation. read more

I don't know what caused these other reviewers to be so critical but all I can say is I have used this Maricamp office several times and waited and observed the experiences of at least a dozen customers ahead of me (with scheduled appointments just like I had) and I've never (50+ years of driving - we'll leave it at that!) experienced better treatment than I've received here. In fact, this most recent use was also a first; my rental was provided by an insurance carrier as my personal vehicle was totaled. The staff and management have been more than courteous, they are experts and friendly at the same time. In fact, this little Maricamp office is more like a neighborhood than a downtown or airport based rental store and the courtesy and professionalism are nothing less than excellent - 5 stars! read more

This place is horrible. Dude gave me a damaged car and I told him the bumper was little off he was like "it's fine I wrote it down". Then of course someone hits me with a cart at Walmart leaving a scratch on the same side of the bumper. I call them immediately and tell them what had happened. Now I just got hit with $1,600 bill when the car was already damaged before me even receiving it. Absolutely horrible. Giving this place a one star is being too generous. read more

*NEVER RENT OR MAKE RESERVATIONS HERE!!* This is the worst enterprise on earth. I had a holiday vacation plan for my family and made reservations to rent a vehicle 1 month in advance. Upon arriving to this location to pick up my rented vehicle I was told I couldn't. Enterprise's excuse was that they called me to confirm the reservation but my voicemail was full. They made no other attempt to contact me such as email. I check my phone and I hadn't received any calls from them not to mention the website stilled showed I had a reservation for the vehicle. The staff were not emphatic of the situation not to mention they were extremely rude and one staffing member was actually sleeping on the front bench when we arrived. We called corporate to straighten out the situation but all they did was feed of a bed a lies about making the situation right, we've haven't heard for them since. I've been a recent renter of enterprise, but I vow to NEVER rent from them again. I hope it was worth losing clientele. If I could give them 0 stars. read more

The black gentleman left me stranded outside my auto mechanics location when it was cold ,and about to get dark knowing it was too late to rent a vehicle and that I am over an hour from my home. I did not have a local license as I am from Levy county but was trying to pull up a bill on my dying phone . He was acting very impatient . I told him I can pull up the bill when I get to electricity as I don't want my phone to die completely . He said that wasn't good enough and I said what are you going to leave me freaking stranded? He turned and said I wont listen to you cuss at me. It was quite obvious he didn't want to help in the first place. So now I am in the cold waiting for a ride from a friend who is 30 min away . DO NOT RENT A CAR HERE. THEY ARE TOTALLY TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF. I had someone hit my car, and it was totaled. I needed a car for a week while I got a new car, and during my time of driving their rental car, a small dent occurred on the front bumper. So small, I hadn't noticed it until I turned the car back in and was made aware of it. It must have happened in a parking lot or something because I was very careful when driving it. No paint damage, just a baby dent that I could have honestly popped out myself or paid someone $50 to do. A few weeks later, I get slapped with a $900 bill for the "damage caused to the vehicle". Absolutely ridiculous. After a few weeks now, apparently I have been dodging phone calls and emails, and are sending a collection agency to get the money from me. I'll be making sure business here is never done by anyone I know, and I have serious issues with this company now. read more

Very friendly staff. Five stars; although I wish they had been a bit more flexible when it was possible that I may not be able to get to the office before closing time. My vehicle broke down with little time to get a rental. I made it, but would have been in a difficult situation if not - no easy way back to my family after getting a one way ride to the rental office. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival to be accorded an upgrade. The transaction was uncomplicated and smooth, and the price was reasonable. read more

Wow, I called the Enterprise office in Jax-Ocala South East after to use a reservation a made in the morning by phone in Enterprise car Rental , to asked them to pick me up and they put all the excuses to avoid going to pick me up because it was 30 min before the closing of the store then they ask me that I will need to able finish the rental a utility bill. Who in the world has a utility bill in the wallet to show for renting a car. The Interesting thing is that I have rented 2 car previously in the same Enterprise Car Rental store using the same card. To make the story short I lost the reservation and I could not get a car at the last minute. I'm so disappointed of that company service. NoW I can understand a lady that was very upset at the same Enterprise Jax-Ocala South East office, I can only imagine what happened to her, what I remember the most wal the way she was treated by the employees. Shame on you Enterprise Car Rental, thank God there is more rental car companies to choose from. You should not play with your customers like that, keep your word and play nice. read more
