I needed a rental car because of a recent T-bone car accident. Luckily I wasn't at fault so their insurance paid for my rental but they didn't want to pay for the insurance coverage; but Shawn was so helpful he was on the phone for over an hour with them trying to get them to cover my entire rental , which they eventually did! I would rate this 0 stars if I could. I had a car reserved for pickup at 12pm. I showed up shortly after the pick up time and waited almost 2 hours for my car. I then asked for an update, and was told they had no cars available for pick up. They had me wait 2 hours, knowing they had no cars available and did not think to tell me. I had to rent at Enterprise for a business drip to the coast.... When picking up the vehicle, I saw the windshield as covered in dead bugs.... I requested if the windshield could be cleaned.... I think the vehicle was taken out back and sprayed with water... . The employee assisting me gave off a vibe that was not pleasant, nor helpful.... More like.... I am just going through the motions.... Can't really describe it, but definitely would not have him issue a vehicle to me.... To make things more interesting, further into my 3 hour drive, I noticed the windshield wiper fluid well was EMPTY... . Really...?? Some folks out there will say, easy fix - do it yourself.... I am not going to clamor on top of a SUV in my work clothes, lift the hood, and try to fill up the fluid- not doing it. That is not my job. For the duration of having this vehicle, I used the morning dew, and irrigation sprinklers to clear my windshield.... Additionally, the tires (large) would make a weird sound like something was off balance or alignment.... I am wondering for safety purposes, how frequently are these vehicles reviewed for the necessary fluids, brake pads, etc...?? Neglect of these details could present a serious problem for a customer.... Just sayin' To leave something positive, the lady that checked my return back in made up for the negative impact. The service is awful, slow and the vehicles never have a full tank of gas. Today was unlike no other. I was dropping off two hours early and the place was so packed. Because I needed to change the payment method I had to wait. I ended up leaving to do grocery shopping and came back. Still in a long list of people waiting. We came from Sonora to Modesto for two medical appointments, when we tried to return home.afterwards the car terrifyingly stalled twice in traffic. We arrived at enterprise just after closing finding an employee of enterprise standing inside talking to a person outside the half open door. My Husband (a combat injured veteran)waited to plead for a rental to get us back to Sonora. Which included my wheelchair bound almost ninty year old mother. He was told no that all keys had been locked up. No chance. No other rental company open. This facility is bigger than the one we have in Modesto on 7th street. They have thier employees just standing around waiting when there is a lobby of guests. They should be helping the guests or helping clean the cars to get thier customers in and out. Having a reservation here doesn't matter. They will have you wait for 30 plus minutes anyways. They do not honor thier appointment times. HORRIBLE service here! NEVER coming back to this location! If you need a rental go to 7th street! I've been a loyal Enterprise customer for about a decade. I went to this location when my car broke down and I was stranded nearby in Patterson, needing a rental car for a romantic getaway I had planned with my fiancé up north. They refused to rent me a car because I couldn't use debit because I wasn't local (despite being loyal af) and my credit card was shy of the deposit amount by less than $10 and it was the weekend, so I'd have to wait for payment to clear. They said "There's nothing we can do". So I left, angry.... But happy ending- I downloaded the TURO app, and someone DROVE OUT to pick my fiancé and I up! Our romantic getaway was saved! Dirty interior! Reserved a compact car. the vehicle stinks, hole on the driver seat, broken passenger side Ac vent. I asked if I can get a different car, I was told to come back the second day. When I returned on the following day, they show me another compact car, but this it was a Chevy and it was little bit smaller than the original vehicle, off course when ask them if you could get at lease something similar, they will tell you went have (If it was Avis, they would offer anything they have on their lot). I never was happy with enterprise. this is the last change they get. I will never rent cars from them. so far the best rental cart is AVIS. The very rude manager, Gabriel not only told me he won't pick me up, but also said that go figure it out yourself. I have used Enterprise before the majority of their staff were even born, & never received such poor service. I have always been the methodical type of person that when a clerk gives me back my credit card, it goes immediately in the some place in my wallet. Funny, mine magically disappeared. Asked to speak to Dominic and was told "he was out for the rest of the day". Fortunately, I was within a "stone's throw" from their office, arriving within 3 minutes of my phone call. This was a comedy of sorts. The service adviser at Central Valley VW/Hyundai said Thursday that he was setting me up with a loaner car. I said that it wasn't necessary. So, this morning, he repeated that, and had Enterprise pick me up from across the street. The driver was there within a minute, and took me back to the office. At that point, someone put me on their sign-in list and told me to have a seat. They didn't seem busy but they seemed to have a very long list, though I couldn't see anyone marked off the list. Within a few minutes, they called me to the desk. They got the paperwork from the dealership and processed it, didn't ask me for any preferences, had me agree that the car was free from damage before they told me anything about it or showed it to me. Adam (I believe that was his name) showed me the car, a Chevy Cruze, with only a bit over 800 miles. Somewhat obviously, it was okay. (Don't get me started on GM, though.) At that point, he explained the insurance. It used to be that I could use my own insurance for a rental car, but insurance companies don't like to do that so much now. The damage only insurance was $14.99. Enterprise also charged me a $50.00 deposit, discounted from their typical $200.00 deposit. The car worked fine throughout the 5 hours. Since I believed that the dealership was paying for the rental--as it was a "loaner car", I didn't fill the tank. The fuel gauge moved more than expected, even though it wasn't much. Enterprise (Saira) decided to charge me for 1 gallon instead of 2. That was $5.77. There was also $1.91 in tax. When I was returned to the dealership, the service adviser processed the Enterprise paperwork, and also added a discount. I suppose you could say that they paid for the car but the $25.00 on the service invoice made me feel that I was paying for the "loaner car" that I didn't even request--for just 5 hours of use. $25.00 from the dealership + $20.90 from Enterprise = $45.90 for an unexpected "courtesy". The employees were fine, as was the car, but the whole situation was a bit odd. read more

My family usually uses this location to rent our cars and we've never had an issue. Their office staff members are always friendly and accommodating and this time was no exception. They are very interested in getting it right and earning your repeat business which I thoroughly appreciate. These days acquiring a rental car is a luxury for our family, except when it is a necessity (multiple necessary car repairs all at once combined with very important long-standing engagements that need to be attended). I picked up our rental on a morning when I was suffering from allergies and was very congested. It wasn't until my husband came home (after Enterprise was closed) that he noticed the weed smell in the car. We were leaving the following morning very early so there was no opportunity to swap the car. We dealt with it all weekend by airing the car out and spraying Febreeze whenever we got the chance. Upon returning the vehicle, I explained what happened and they were more than willing to make things right. Chris the branch manager has the worst customer service skills I've ever encountered from someone in a management position dealing with a customer who had a bad accident that was NOT my fault. I spoke to him right after I got the confirmation from the other parties Insurance adjuster he told me that within an hour they'd be picking me up and I told him that would be great because I need to pick up my daughter from school. I need to pick up my pain medication. I'm tired of walking around and the pharmacy is too far for me to walk to in the first place. He offered to pick me up within a specific time. I didn't ask to be picked up by a specific time and they went 40 minutes past the hour window that they gave me so at that point it was beyond me being able to call somebody to say hey can you give me a ride, now I have to walk again. So I had a conversation with Chris after talking to the driver because the driver said that I yelled at him and told him not to come and Chris wanted to make sure that I still wanted a ride and I explain to Chris that I was frustrated that they had given a 1 hour window they went 40 minutes past and now you're calling me to tell me that the driver wasn't sure if you still needed to come after I told him to come, and Chris tried to tell me oh well, we normally don't rush out and pick people up right away on a Monday and I told him that is something that YOU offered I didn't ask you to do that you offered to do that I told you that I could be picked up at any time, so he tells me oh, well since you can be picked up at any time the driver won't be there for over an hour now and at that point I told him it's cool I'm going to go ahead and call corporate and file a complaint. read more

In terms of price and service, this is one of the best Enterprise locations I have ever been to. I got a premium expedition for a Tahoe trip, which was complete with warming steering wheel and seats (for passengers and backseaters). Service here was exceptional and had me in and out of there. They were nice enough to let me extend the rental for a day as well when I knew I wouldn't make it on time to return it. This Enterprise is a very trustworthy location. read more

I was sent here by another enterprise near my house, but the insurance said that they would cover a car rental and they have a contract with Enterprise , so I made the reservations well over a week ago I also called down here to confirm the date I would be coming and time , when I got here I have to turn in my car to have it repaired and they did not have my rental available gave me a whole bunch of excuses and try to upsell me something else that was way more expensive , the guy was very rude and condescending and basically gave me the feel that he did not care about my business if I wasn't happy go look elsewhere , he also said that he just found out about this few hours ago and that was a lie because I called myself tell them the day and time and to confirm it , now I put a call into the insurance unable to get a hold of the agent and therefore I'm going to have to reschedule my appointment. Cool helpful people in that location, made everything completely easy to use, especially during covid and that was appreciated. Here's the kicker: Don't go over any bridges or tolls while In an enterprise rental. Bridge tolls aren't excepting cash right now (because of sip) and they will bill you in the mail. I let this location know I would be going over the bay bridge for work and would like to pay my tolls before they go up In price from mail circulation and timing. A woman in there assured me I wouldn't be paying any extra and it would just be the fee of the original toll. Two weeks later, enterprise automatically takes it out of my debit card (the one they said they would only use for a deposit and I had already gotten that back ) with an inflation of 4$ per toll. So now instead of paying a 6$ bridge toll I am paying a 10$ toll after enterprises additional fee. Now, enterprise is saying it's fast track (toll agency), fast track is saying it's enterprises' fee blah blah blah. I Do some research, it is in fact enterprise and they finally reveal they have a contract with fast track and it is enterprises additional fee because they are fronting the toll that you physical couldn't not pay ( duh I couldn't we are in covid and it wasn't allowed). It's simple. I went over the bridge twice. I want to pay the 12$. I don't want to pay enterprises fee for fronting me 6$ that I had and it was actually contractual agreement with fast track to make additional coins. Talked to corporate. I hope they will resolve this. The car rental business is hanging on by a thread (I.e. hertz ), let's hope they rectify this in a timely manner. read more

Staffs were rude and they were picky who they would like to serve first. I was first in line when they told me to sit and wait. So, I did. After they helped the customer before me, they called the person that was after me in the line. When I brought it to their attention that I came first, all they did was told me to write my name on a paper. They didn't tell me that in the beginning. And the person, who came after me didn't even write her name. When it was my turn, they said that they have an available car for me. But when I told them that drop off point is at the airport, they told me that they don't have a car available! Very disappointed! read more
