The other day I again picked up my rental car from this Enterprise location. I have been renting cars form Enterprise at the Manchester, NH airport for years and I have to say...once again, the experience was exceptional. Bright, cheery, helpful attendants and counter staff are the standard not only at this location but seemingly ALL Enterprise locations. So, we are big fans of the Enterprise rental experience. As mentioned earlier, I've been renting from this particular location for years. And, what amazes me continually is how while the people change....the experience never does. The other day I met new intern Patrick Barry. True to form, Patrick was greeting me with a genuine "happy to be here" smile....complete knowledge of my reservation ...and a desire to get me into my rental car as quickly and on my way as fast as possible - all while being friendly, polite, and helpful. Once again, 3 month intern Patrick Barry reaffirmed my positive impression of the Enterprise car rental experience. Congrats to the Manchester location and its management for creating a culture of service that genuinely elevates the guest experience and teaches its newest hires the fine art of customer service. Abysmal service from Enterprise. Want to modify your reservation? Sure, just do it online. As long as the only thing you want to modify is the drop-off date. Want to modify the drop-off location?? Hm..... hm..... that's a tough one. There's literally only two variabilities of a car rental. But.... hm..... maybe speak to someone in customer service. But hmm..... they'll have to get in touch with the Manchester location. But not on the phone. They'll need to message them. They'll call you back when they can. But hmm.... three separate calls and 5 hours later but still no call back. No way of reaching a human. Hmm.... so you want to change the location. Hmm... Yeah I don't know. Had a reservation. Didn't even get to rent the car. Everywhere in the U.S. my credit/debit card can be rung up as credit, except for this place. Not sure why. Claimed they cant ring up debit cards even if rung up as credit. Left without a car. Maybe on the reservation website it said something about that, I don't know, I didn't read all the fine print. I stopped using Budget after wasting enough of my time waiting an hour plus every time to get my reserved car. First time using Enterprise and I messed up by reserving the wrong date. The gentleman at the counter was very helpful in correcting my mistake and we ended up with a better car than I had reserved. I will be using Enterprise for all m future reservations. read more

I have mixed feelings about my experience. I normally fly into Boston and rent cars there but lately the prices have been ridiculous for rental cars so I decided to fly into Manchester and rent there since the savings was about $200. I reserved a Compact car for a very reasonable price. At the desk checking in the guy was trying to convince me to upgrade to something like a Ford Escape suv. I decided to keep what I reserved and went to the garage. Well, the only thing they had left were minivans. The kid tried to convince me it was an upgrade but it wasn't. I hate vans so that was not an upgrade in my mind. I had a lot of driving to do and a minivan isn't great on gas. Basically what I "saved" renting from Manchester was what it cost me in gas for 3 weeks and much more. Usually I drive about 1500 miles and a compact is much more gas efficient. The minivan cost me A LOT of money in gas. The van was also not very clean at all. Someone's leftover water bottle was under the drivers seat and fast food bags were under the back seats. I don't think they did more than a very quick vacuum in the main areas. The thing that ticked me off the most was that they were trying to get me to upgrade without having any idea what was actually available. I have a reservation again for this week so I will see how that goes. read more

We usually rent from Hertz or Avis, but since Enterprise had the car we were interested in and it was an airport pickup, decided to go with Enterprise. Never again. First of all we didn't get in that late, 8 pm.... but the desk was closed. Instead one employee was handling three different companies. And the line was VERY LONG. When he finally started to help us, he tried to upgrade. No we said and then he asked if we wanted to purchase additional insurance. NO we said. So he said okay, initial this. Unfortunately I didn't check the form when we left to get the car and instead he charged me for the additional insurance for a week. Yes, I agree it's my fault for not checking form before getting in car, but it had been a long wait and a long day. Imagine my surprise when we got back to return the car and we were charged an additional $200. Not happy. Yes, like I said, my fault for not checking further, but I do think it was intentional deceit on his part. read more

Wonderful!! The best young gentleman work here....Picked up a wonderful new Nissan...immaculate vehicle. Ken and Eric handled quick and explained everything without high pressure up selling tactics. Totally reasonable prices...such a nice change from the other rent a car places I've dealt with...trying to navigate other companies convoluted bills this was really a pleasant easy transaction. Even when dropping off vehicle with Chrestopher at the Manchester Airport lot he noticed I forgot my purse and really made the whole experience old school customer service...just impressive and amazing to see such great guys working for this company...I had to let others know! read more

Our car was ready when we arrived at Manchester, NH Sat. evening 9/20/2014. Were provided a Ford Taurus for our reserved full size 4 dr. model. It had a 3.5L V6 which was very responsive during merging and passing. The gas tank was full, the car clean, and ready to go. Important to me, the wheel alignment was good, as I am bugged by having to constantly correct steering while driving. Great job Enterprise! Bill D. read more

NEVER Have I felt so deceived by an Enterprise location. Sell...sell...sell. I am a regular enterprise customer. Travel every week, rent every week with enterprise. This location, it seems their only motivation is to up-sell and they neglect customer service. The drive is to the point of dishonesty. The counter rep asked if I would like to upgrade to a Tahoe or a Camaro, naturally I asked how much. The representative replied with "normally the Tahoe's are an additional 70 dollars per day but if you don't tell my boss, I can do it for 30 a day." The counter agent also offered me a deal on an upgrade from the full size car which I declined. Now, either he is a liar and is cheating the company, or he is a liar and deceiving me. Certainly someone that would deceive their boss would not have the proper regard for customers. The employees are either coached and driven with foolish incentives or they're just dishonest... OR BOTH. NOW TO THE GARAGE: As I get out to the garage to get my car, the employee is with another customer. I have no problem waiting my turn but the agent stated, "I'll be right back dude." After the agent returned, he informed me that they were out of full size cars and informed me that I was getting a free upgrade. (Please remember the counter agent diligently trying to get me to pay for an upgrade.) I chose from my options and went on my way. read more

My wife and I rented an Enterprise car in Gorham NH with a Visa Debit card without a problem. We dropped it off at the Manchester Airport. Upon our return to to the airport we attempted to rent a car to drive the 2 hours to Gorham. Enterprise refused to rent us a car for the trip home, stranding us at the airport. Manager Maryer said it was company policy to only take a credit card even though we rented at Gorham without one. We were stranded and Maryer only had glib comments and an offer call for a cab. At midnight we had to call a Lift willing to take us home. We got home at 3:00 AM and it cost us almost $300. We do not use credit cards had we known their policy change from location to location we would never had used Enterprise. Our experience at the airport location was dehumanizing. Landed in Manchester with a reservation with Enterprise for a mid-size car. The reservation was in the system. The employee helping me was overkill on 'selling me' a better car. I asked him the price of the next size car up, which was a Cadillac SUV. He said it would cost me $75 more per day. I declined. He then said he could do it for $50 more per day. I declined. He then said that he could do it for $35 more per day. I declined, scratching my head......and stuck with the Chrysler mid-size car I had originally agreed to. I don't like car salesmen. This guy should change jobs. I guess they work on commission. I went to the area to pickup my car.......and they guy handed me the keys to the Cadillac. I asked him if there was an up-charge and he said NO. ???????? So, get ready to deal with a car salesman if you get the guy I had. I still got the better car. It was expensive renting thru Enterprise. I declined the additional insurance, because I am already covered thru company insurance. Make sure to LOOK and document EVERY scratch on the car BEFORE you leave with the key-guy giving you your final paperwork. Don't get the GPS. It is a waste of $$ and you can use the WAZE application on your smart phone. The toll pass was a good idea at $3.50/day. Pass on the gas and fill your own tank! Gas is cheap in NH right now. read more

These guys and gals were polite professional, and alacritous. When they didn't have the car class that I had reserved, I was upgraded to a superior class, without fuss or fanfare, as if it were SOP. I have had multiple good experiences with Enterprise, and that is why I'm taking the time to laud their good works. read more

Simple comment. I had a question about overcharges which I sent to the enterprise email given on enterprise website "contact us". My question covered three paragraphs, took 10 minutes to compose. Their email reply: "We apologize, but we are no longer able to reply to messages sent to this email address. In an effort to better serve you, we have updated our online customer service process. Please choose from one of the following options:" These "options" do not permit actual billing complaint. The only way to deal with a question is to get some random person to answer a phone number, so they can tell you "we cannot help you". read more

The staff made my rental quicker than I've ever experienced. This came after a flight that was 3 hours late and they lost both of my checked bags. When I walked up to the Enterprise counter, I was asked a question and the gentleman invited me over to the National Rent-A-Car counter and had me out the door in less than two minutes. It was exactly what I needed after flying across the country and experiencing a Southwest Airlines fiasco. read more

I have always liked the customer service of Enterprise and my recent trip through Manchester's Enterprise airport's facility was likewise very good. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. And this was true here as well. My only complaint about my experience in general has been that my last three rentals I never get the model that is first to be displayed as the major option. For example I wanted the Nissan Rogue but alas none were available. Ditto with my previous two experiences. But the Jeep was OK. But basically I continue to be a loyal customer. read more

I recently (July 6-13) rented a vehicle from this Enterprise location and was very impressed with the service I received. The minute I stepped up to the counter, the whole process was very quick and easy. No one tried to get me to upgrade for "$30 more per day!" or sell me insurance I didn't need. Once I was in the car lot, a very nice gentleman escorted me to a car running with the air conditioning on and sent me on my way. Flew in late afternoon 5/17/19. I don't recall the staff names but,both counter persons and the lot attendant were very friendly, efficient and, helpful with recommendations on places in town. Return staff was great as well. This location has trained their employees well! read more

I was going to pass on a review of my last rental with Enterprise, but since they sent me emails begging for it TWICE, I will do so. Timing is everything, so the saying goes, and I guess I came at a bad time on the morning of Sept 15th at MHT. It took almost an hour get through the line and find a car in the parking lot. First, the line: there was one agent working the desk, on a Monday morning. One. Bad idea. Usually upon arrival, I go right to the rental desk before I fetch bags and have plenty of time to do it. Not this time. I stood there and stood there, and watched as my bag went around the carousel. There were two people ahead of me and one behind me so I left the line and got my bag. In the time that took, two additional people had joined the line. OK - my choice to leave the line, but at least my bag didn't go to 'lost luggage.' So the wait began anew. The nice young agent was probably doing his best, and maybe the five customers were first-timers, but it took all of 45 more minutes to get to the counter. When it was my turn, it took less than 5 minutes to do the paperwork. That must have been some comfort to the two guys behind me, who were steaming and way more upset than I was about the glacial pace. So, now the lot dance. It seems every time I go to MHT, the configuration of the rental lot changes. Maybe that's not the rental company's fault - although Hertz never seems to move. Anyway, the Enterprise sign was on the far side, barely visible, so I headed for that sign. Nobody was home in the booth. Scanning around for a human was fruitless. So I wander back toward the other kiosks and finally a nice fellow comes and asks me it I'm looking for a rental car. I wanted to say, "No, I'm here for the buffet."...but I demurred. So I walk over to him toward the National and Dollar rental signs and he looks at my paperwork and sprints off. Uh-oh. But, in a couple minutes, from some unknown location, he brings up a dark blue Chrysler 200. Finally. I'm on my way. The car turned out to be great - quiet, good ride and 30+ mpg. On balance, despite the sluggish start, I will probably use Enterprise again. The cars seem to be a cut or two better than the lower-priced competitors. But folks, please - have more than one person on the desk on a Monday morning - and decide on where to park them so I can find them next time! Thank you. read more

While not the most brand-loyal consumer, I do love Enterprise. A recent trip to Manchester reminded me of why. We rented a car at the airport site and after returning it, we realized that one of our bags was missing. After scouring the car, an Enterprise drive whisked me back to the hotel where we'd stayed, to look there. He patiently waited while I checked the room, the elevator, the lobby - everywhere - without success. Driving back to the airport I was beside myself because the bag held a camera with irreplaceable wedding pictures from the weekend. Then my cell phone rang. An Enterprise employee had found the bag! They couldn't have been more helpful, speedy (we had a flight to catch) or caring. This was 10 star customer care by the Manchester Airport team! read more

I use Enterprise at Manchester Airport frequently and have always had a good experience. Friendly staff and the cars are always in great shape. Unfortunately, sometimes their prices are significantly higher than what I can get through Hotwire, so I end up with a Hotwire deal. And I must say that on those occasions, the service and the cars at the other rental agencies is not on par with Enterprise. I don't understand why Enterprise can't be more competitive, especially when I am enrolled with their loyalty program. If it's $50 more for a weekend, I've got to go with the Hotwire lottery. read more

Personnel at the counter went out of his way and walked my wife and I to the cars that were available to us in the Emerald Isle. He was very helpful in explaining exactly what we needed to do in order for us to be quickly on our way. Always enjoy using National and will never use another rental agency. The Manchester location is one of the better places to rent a car from. The return went very smooth with no delays. read more

I think that I had the same experience as Barb C. It was the worst car rental experience I can recall. There was a huge line at the counter because of the lack of staff, there was a wait to pick up the car with two harried employees running around with paperwork, there was a 15 minute wait simply to drive out. (I later found out that the rental care exit is shared by multiple companies and the delay was actually due to problems with another company.) People were shouting, honking horns, etc. It was a mess. When I returned the car, I discovered I was given the wrong paperwork. (Remember the harried employees?) That translated to a 30 min process to return the car. All the Enterprise employees were trying their best and acting as professional as possible under the circumstances. It's back to using AVIS at Manchester Airport. read more

My experience with Enterprise is mixed. I compared the prices of mid-size cars with other rental companies. I chose Enterprise because they offered the best price. When I arrived in Manchester Airport, I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to a full-size car "for only $5" a day extra. What's 20 bucks right? What I discovered once I got into the lot was that not only weren't there any mid-side cars but not even full-side cars. I was offered an SUV for the same price as a mid-size car. Therefore, I wasn't happy for paying extra to upgrade when the guy at the desk knew they weren't any full-size cars to upgrade to. So...I would like my $20 back. Other than that, I had a great experience. read more

Quick, easy! Pleasant guy at the counter at 1:00AM, and we said "no" to all of the up-sell. The car was ready to go. Only slight negatives - car wasn't completely cleaned. We found "treasures" under the seats and in the luggage area of the Hyundai SUV. read more

My plane did not arrive until past midnight and I was worried that they'll be closed by then. So, I quickly walked to their counter and Amber Morhidge informed me that they don't actually close until the last flight has landed. Oh, thank goodness! She was pretty upfront about NH laws that they don't require car insurance there, so great, I didn't need to buy an insurance I didn't need (I have my own insurance anyway so it was still okay if something would have happened). We carried out a small conversation and told her that I will be driving to Vermont. She told me that Vermont has a lot of pot holes and suggested that I upgrade my small economy car to a bigger one. I normally would not have accepted but she gave me a pretty good deal so I thought why not, better safe! And besides, Vermont had a snow storm few days before so I thought that a small SUV will also be helpful. Very good experience, great customer service. read more

I was a long time customer of another car rental agency and because of several terrible customer service issues with them, decided to try Enterprise. I have been happy with their customer service and when they run specials, the prices can't be beat. My most recent rental was for over 2 weeks and the price was pretty high; it would be great if they offered bigger discounts for long term rentals. Overall, I have been happy with my experiences using Enterprise. Their registration/processing time is quick and pick up / drop off at the Manchester, NH airport was efficient and easy. read more

Great service but every time I rent from them they never have the car I reserved. I own a small economy car so that's what I'm used to driving and what I would like to drive while traveling, especially when I'm alone, but I usually end up in an SUV. It takes a bit to get used to driving something so big and uses lots more gas. It would be nice if I could pick up an economy car when I reserve one. read more

Staff at Enterprise ask "how was our service" as they walk away. To get help lifting my suitcase out of the car, I had to call him back. I went through the trunk to see if I'd left anything. The garage area is dark, the car was black, and I couldn't see well inside the car. It seems I left a small credit card case in the car (realized later). When I tried to call back for help on this, it was a nightmare. They were unresponsive in a word. One would think I left an umbrella in the car, not a credit card case with cards. Once in a while I encounter someone trying to give good customer service. Most of the time these folks are acting out the words on a script. It was not a good experience. I'm in Manchester 5 to 7 times a year, every year. Does that appear in their records anywhere? The fact that I've rented from Enterprise for more than 10 years at this location isn't in their records. Fascinating. They are all talk and no show. read more

Inconsistant service. OK but not extraordinary. Not many cars. Regardless of arrival, check in time takes at last 30 minutes.

i am only giving a 3 star because of the person in the "check out booth"...he was grumpy/ not helpful at all & should not be working with customers or enterprise. he was an older man named rick. i will back up.....the counter attendant couldn't have been more efficient or professional. the young man who brought me the vehicle was equally as good. when i got into the vehicle to leave the parking garage i realized that no matter what i did, i could not see over the dashboard. while at the "departure booth", i told the attendant & he said there was nothing he could do...he made me feel very uncomfortable & it was evident that he wasn't interested in helping me & he was a real grump!. the young man who brought me the vehicle saw what was happening & brought me another vehicle which was perfect...he helped me with my luggage & sent me off with a smile. the return couldn't have been easier & it was a very cheerful "older man"....i rent only from enterprise & my husband is service director for a large high end dealership in florida who uses enterprise when they run out of their m.b. loaner cars.....i will continue renting from enterprise, but somebody at the manchester facility needs to have a "pep talk" with "rick"! valerie a. orr read more
