When I arrived, I was told no EVs were on-site due to A/C issues--no email, no call, no courtesy notice. They tried to give me a gas car instead. When I asked why EVs were still bookable online or if another location could help, the staff gave no real answers. The employee was rude and refused to provide his name when I asked to file a complaint. Completely unacceptable experience. I expected better from a major company like Hertz. We came from Florida for a funeral and took the South Shore train from Chicago to East Chicago station and walked over to Enterprise to rent a car (reservations made 2 days prior with a very helpful customer service rep). While on the train I received a phone call that the person driving the car we had planned on renting was not being returned on time. Before I even had time to panic I was assured that there was a different vehicle available upon arrival. The transaction was smooth and easy. When we returned the car to that location the customer service rep dropped us off at the train station. Excellent customer service all around!
