They were helpful, cheerful, and interested in getting me what I needed to get back on the road. It was clear that they went out of their way. I always receive great customer service at the Kent location. I'm here frequently for business and rent occasionally for personal trips. My only complaint ever is this is a training location which sees many new faces quite frequently so as soon as I get to know my staff, they're on to bigger and better things. Have a car rented through this location while my car is being fixed got a text about a recall weeks ago . Called same day they said they would call me back if they needed to switch out . Didn't call back . Now weeks later they call right before a holiday weekend saying I need to trade in before Tuesday (after the holiday given they are closed most the days ) or they are going to tow and reposes the vehicle . But they will only offer me a 5 seater vehicle when I currently have a 7 seater given I have 4 young children none of which can go in the front seat . So they are demanding me trade in the vehicle when I can't just move my work schedule around for a vehicle that does not meet my needs and not working with me at all. The recall they have told me is on the backup camera so does not affect the safety of a vehicle . And either situation leaves me stranded as I can't transport my children in a smaller vehicle and if they tow then I'm stuck with out a car and without my car seats currently in the vehicle . AWFUL customer service and will NEVER rent with enterprise again. I did my due diligence and called when I was first notified of the recall it's not my fault they never called back and now giving me no notice and not working with me for THEIR mistake . read more

Very nice people at the Kent, Ohio store (No idea why this shows me from San Francisco). Thieves, but nice. And we're kinda stuck with 'em. They're just about the only option around. Just returned a rental. The car was nice, quick pickup. In & out in about 10 min (called ahead of course). During the checkout the nice woman said, If you want, instead of filling the tank before returning it, we can just do it for you, at $2.10 a gallon. I said something like, Oh, OK, cool. Nothing further was mentioned. Turns out I had apparently just agreed to the Fuel Service Option, for $14.70. Which I didn't use, being unaware I'd been gouged, er, charged for it. Never saw a bill till they emailed it to me. No one during check out ever thought to mention it to me. So this is on top of the normal thievery that's usually attempted concerning the myriad insurance charges. But the people are very nice, and the car was fine. Just purchased a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee from Klaben and doesn't have but 500 miles on it and doesn't want to start. Obviously this is under warranty and will be taken care of which is no problem but I'm in need of a loaner car! Everyone at Klaben in sales and service has went above and beyond for me but they just simply don't have loaners so they partner with Enterprise to take care of me. I show up to Enterprise and they refuse to rent to me and tell me that they do not have any reservation for me. I live all the way in Canton 45 min away so now I'm stranded in Kent. They can clearly tell I'm a little upset so the "Area Manager" Hannah, asks me to step outside. Proceeding to tell me how many stores she oversees and not helping me come up with a solution. Very rude and clearly is more concerned with getting me out of the store than getting me into a car. She proceeds to explain they don't have a reservation for me even though I talked to them 2 times the previous day! Then she finally miraculously finds my reservation and says it's for a 4 door sedan not an suv. I then just canceled the reservation as I am not driving a ford fusion when I just purchased a brand new grand Cherokee! I'll go elsewhere and pay for the reservation to not have to use this location. Sue was amazing and ran me home in the end! Overall a very unpleasant experience at this location and would not recommend anyone use them for their rental needs! Resulted in me missing an appointment I had scheduled a month prior! read more

I have never had a problem with the staff or the vehicles from this place. Quick, friendly service in a clean and neat place. The gentlemen on duty were even wonderful in picking me up from the dealership and dropping me off when I needed it. Enterprise Rent-A-Car - Car Rental Near Me - Kent, Ohio

I've rented here before, usually satisfactorily. I reserved a small SUV ("Nissan Rogue or similar"). I got an AWD Chevy Traverse. I wanted a small SUV as my wife will be taking it on a long trip (and I'll be taking it on a shorter one myself first) and wanted high seating and smallish overall size. Everyone is polite at this location, but acted surprised when I said, "this isn't what I reserved". EPA rating 15 city/22 hwy.; in comparison, Rogue is 33 city/35 hwy. They gave me the 3/4 tank of gas in it for free; honestly, this probably won't cover the difference in MPG. Vehicle was dirty too but they did wash it while I waited. I don't expect anything for free; just give me what the hell I reserved. I might add, the tires and wheels are enormous and at 26K miles, I fully expect them to "sing" the whole way down I-71 and back, sigh. read more

I was in an accident earlier this month and the other driver's insurance company was hell to deal with (Progressive) - but they set me up with a car through this enterprise location. Enterprise was great! They kept me more updated than the insurance company. I was driving the rental for several weeks while my car was being repaired. They picked up the rental at the body shop, no hassles. I didn't pay a dime out of pocket, but they still called after to make sure everything went smoothly with the rental. So I normally wouldn't write a review about a car rental place however I rent cars often and I felt this particular enterprise was worth a review. Every single time I have come to them they are always exceptionally friendly and the service is efficient and quick. I feel like the staff are led by an exceptional manager... I believe his name is Kevin. Even if I'm just passing Kevin as I'm pulling out of the parking lot, he gives me the warmest smile and wave. My wife and I rent cars on a regular basis for work. We have been dealing with Enterprise for years, but this location is terrible. The employees are rude - and they always make us feel like we are an inconvenience. Recently my wife had to rent a car for a week. The first day we had it, we noticed it making a funny noise. When I called to inquire and have them take a look at it, they asked me to bring it Monroe to be serviced! Are you kidding me! When I asked if they could just take a look at it to see if the noise was normal, they said "no, we are not mechanics". When I asked if we could just switch out the vehicle, the said "sorry, we don't have any, but you can try the Hudson location" I said great, do they have one available, they said "you'll have to check with them" Needless to say, I called Enterprise corporate and told them the story. The apologize profusely, said they should have never tried to send us to a mechanic, and gave us a luxury vehicle from the Kent location for the remainder of the week. Another time we walked in and they started bad mouthing another customer to us that had just left - very unprofessional - I could only imagine what they've said about us. My car has been in the shop for 6 weeks with an unknown electrical problem. I have reluctantly asked friends to haul my tired old butt around town for errands. I had a trip planned and needed my ride, but locating the problem has been troublesome for my mechanics. So I had to rent a car for my trip. I haven't owned a car since 1970 that gave me less than 30 mpg so I wanted a rental with that same criteria. I called my local Enterprise Car Rental and was told that the only vehicle that met my criteria was a Toyota Yaris. I had been wanted to test drive that car and knew that cruise control was not standard equipment for that model. I asked my Service Lady if the Yaris has cruise control. She was not certain. I also required a pickup from my home. An employee met me at my home 5 minutes later than planned but that was not a problem. Customer pickup is service that is provided with no charge. I was happy to be picked up; I received my rental one day before my departure. The driver was driving a 2013 Nissan Sentra. As we drove to the office I was hoping, in my mind, that I might rent this vehicle rather than the Yaris. I wasn't looking forward to a long trip that didn't include use of cruise control. I scanned the lot, as we arrived at Enterprise, for the Yaris and didn't see one in their lot. Inside completing the paperwork my Service Lady asked if the Sentra would be okay rather than the Yaris. I agreed. I am writing this review prior to surrendering the vehicle primarily because most of my driving has been completed. Over the next 2.5 days I won't drive the vehicle more than 50 miles. My use of the Sentra Wednesday through Friday was a pleasant one. This vehicle mostly is pleasant to drive. I noticed some outside wear on the right front tire as my Service Lady and I were doing a walk around inspection of my rental prior to my taking possession. I was thinking maybe an alignment problem. When I left the lot I felt the steering pulling right but that may have been due to taper of the city streets. Once I left the city driving and began highway/Interstate driving it was apparent that there was a slight pull to the right. I had to counter steer most of my highway driving but it was acceptable for my trip to Illinois to get my Grandson, then back to Mansfield, OH so we could visit my Son, then back to Illinois to return my Grandson to his Mother, and back to OH to return home. Once to Illinois via Ohio Turnpike/Indiana Toll Road/Illinois Toll Road and twice back to OH using the Illinois Toll Road/Indiana Toll Road/Ohio Turnpike. There was too much construction going west from Ohio to Illinois. The trip normally take about 6 hours. Due to slow down in construction zones the trip from Ohio to Illinois took 9.75 hours. When I left Wednesday morning the air was cool so I didn't need A/C, but when I passed South Bend, IN it was time to turn it on for my comfort. Driving east from Illinois to Ohio I encountered about one fourth the construction I encounter going the other way. My 2nd trip from Ohio to Illinois I used SR 30 from Mansfield, OH all the way to Naperville, IL. A much nicer drive. I drive a 1999 Saturn and use the cruise control a lot. One thing about Saturn's CC I dislike is the way that the transmission drops down a gear and the engine rev's up on inclines. I didn't experience anything like that with the Sentra. The Sentra was very enjoyable to drive. The A/C worked flawlessly. There was very little noticeable highway or engine noise inside the passenger compartment. Purchasing the Nissan Sentra would be outside my range, but if I could afford this vehicle I would probably buy it, even if my first preference is the Toyota Prius. MPG's were consistently in the mid to high 30's. Much better than my 1999 Saturn. This Sentra had 31k+ miles on the odometer when I picked it up, so the engine is broken in just fine. I am very happy with my rental from Enterprise Car Rental, Kent, OH. This is my second rental experience from this establishment. read more

The service at Enterprise was very good. The car was ready when I requested pick up. It was clean and good in shape. The service person was very friendly and thorough. The staff handled the large volume of customers well. However, a few days later after dropping off the car I realized I was charged for road side assistance and personal insurance though I had declined these services and fees. The representative spoke specifically about it because my company provides that and was it was not needed with the rental. But, conveniently it ended on my bill with out me noticing and my company ended up paying more than was agreed. My fault for not reviewing the detail; their fault for not dong the right thing and sneaking in the charges. I will go to this Enterprise again, but will be very careful to review my bill before signing off. read more

After being involved in a hit/skip accident my insurance company directed me to Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Kent, OH. I could not have been more pleased with the experience I had at this location with the branch manager, Kevin. He provided me with excellent service from the moment I stepped into the building. He greeted me with a warm and friendly smile and explained everything to me thoroughly and answered all of my questions. He is the epitome of professionalism. After driving the vehicle for a day I realized that there was a mechanical issue with it. Kevin could not have been more apologetic and accommodating....he even brought me another vehicle so that I would not have to be inconvenienced.
