I called the enterprise on Courtland Ave in Atlanta 4 different times asking if it was okay that I picked up the car with my paper temporary Maryland license because mine was stolen. They told me 4 different times that that was okay, seeing that I had booked my rental through my Maryland insurance. Today I go to pick up the car and they said they "can't help me." They said I have to pick up the car using a physical license which is funny because their corporate office said that out of state paper licenses are fine as long as you have another form of proof which I did, I had a passport and Georgia school ID. I'm writing this review on every enterprise's page until you all do something to make this right. I missed snd entire vacation because of you all. I told the woman at the desk that I spoke with a man on the phone THIS morning and she told me that was impossible because no men work there but as I was sitting outside stranded a male manager came out to show another customer a car. I spoke with customer service on the phone and they told me they were horrified about what I went through and would contact me the next day to bring me a car. It's been a week and i've called them several times and they have been absolutely no help at all. I missed my family vacation because of this company and they're not willing to offer a single compensation to try to make this right. I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism from the two woman at the desk, the male manager who I guess was hiding in the back throughout the entire situation or their customer service team. This is a horrible company that doesn't have a single regard for the safety of their customers, left me stranded on the side of the road even though I brought with me all of the necessary paperwork I was told to bring. Karma is real though and they'll get theirs eventually.

When I got to the place at 4:15pm, she told me that the website (that I had previously tried to book on) had more cars on it then she did and she only had a very small yaris (I needed a car with AWD or 4WD). Not a good experience and will not be renting from this Hertz in the future.

When he got back to this Pocomoke City office, he quickly got us a car so we could continue on to Chincoteague while our Jeep was being repaired at Nokes'. Given the scarcity of rental cars these days, we felt extremely lucky. And Wade worked through our car insurance company to give us their lowest rate. We felt so lucky to get a rental so quickly and at such a good rate. Wade was terrific. He, along with Nokes, saved our Eastern Shore weekend trip.

I guess they make many others happy also because they are usually booked solid for a week or more so don't call them if you want something done the next day. Awful experience will never visit again…read more My husband and I purchased a 2009 Ford Flex. They told us that the next day they were taking it to get inspected and detailed. At 4:30 pm my husband had to call and check to see if we could pick the car up, he was given the run around and finally told him the car failed inspection. They gave us another car to drive in the meantime and we had to call again to see if we could pick up our car. I was told it had passed inspection, however a detailer was not available. The sales manager said he tried to clean it up the best he could if we wanted to come get it. Haha I think my dog could have done a better job, if he even did touch it. Driving the vehicle home, my husband heard a loud thump. It sounds horrible. The car was driven from their Salisbury store to their Laurel store and there is no way that person didn't hear this noise. We were told to bring it back down and they would fix it again and detail it.

However they refused to give me vehicle unless o had a major credit card in my name. Took the rental Payment from debit but refused to use Debit for $200 deposit. Insisted it be a major Credit Card in my name. I do not use credit cards as I am getting ready to make a major purchase within next 6 months . I was told Enterprise at Air port will take a debit for deposit as long as you have valid drivers license in same state. But it is $300 instead of $200. But they had nothing available till next day. Price was outrages unless booked online. I went home, booked for next day a luxury vehicle such as a BMW, Sabb, Mercedes etc.... However the next morning at 11:00 no luxury vehicle was available. I ended up with a Nissa Versa. I'd asked for something different as this make and model is wonderful in every aspect but the seats are miserable especially for an 8 hour trip. Nothing else could be located so I agreed. The staff was wonderful to work with. They just hired a new detailer he made car look immaculate. However as evening came and dampness set in whatever was used for windshield washer fluid only smeared windshield to the point I was unable to see out window without continually re-wetting window repeatedly for the remainder of the trip. I was compensated for going from BMW / literary vehicle to Nissan Versa with not have to return vehicle with a full tank of gas. Maybe a $30 discount. I have not spoken to Enterprise about this situation as I only arrived in my destination late last night around 10:15 pm. But will be stopping by the local Enterprise here in Myrtle Beach to see if they can re-detail window and new wipers at the least or upgrade to a better, more comfortable vehicle I feel I deserve. No one told me once I crossed a state line my deposit would then be $400 instead of $300 until I arrived to pick up the car. This issue did not deter me from working with Enterprise as I found both locations, Salisbury MD Airport and Sussex Delaware to have very polite and kind employees. However I would insist on at least a mid grade car if my registration was booked for a luxury vehicle!!!
