Needed to rent a vehicle for a work trip to Cleveland and back. Reserved an SUV online months in advance and decided to go here instead of the airport because it was closer to home to pick up. Day of the trip arrives and I head over to pick up a vehicle and they only have a huge pickup or a very small car available. I went with the truck even though it was probably too big for what I needed but felt safer than the tiny car. Did the walk around and everything looked good. The staff member noted some of the marks and scuffs that were already there so I didn't get charged and sent me on my way. Once I got inside the truck and started driving, I noticed that there were some garbage and some dirt from the last driver in various places in the cab. Things like smudges on the steering wheel and peanut shells left in the cup holders. Then as I'm driving on the highway and I am on my way, I realize that there's no windshield wiper fluid coming out. I stopped and got a jug thinking that it was just out and I'll refill it. I open the hood and see that the tank is full. So unfortunately, the mister for it must not be working. When I returned it, the team took my concerns and walked through the vehicle with me and apologized for the issues. I was very happy with the team and their response to the concerns. Again, nothing too serious but definitely could have been if I needed the wipers. I have always had good experiences with Enterprise so I will rent with them again. This might be just an exception rather than the norm. read more

Can't speak highly enough about my experience with Enterprise, especially this location! Recently went through the fun life event of having my car stolen. After another rental company went ghost on me, my insurance set me up with Enterprise and they were more than accommodating. Right when I first called them, they confirmed a pickup time and ensured I'd have a rental car when I came in. When I got there, staff was very knowledgeable and empathetic towards my sticky situation. The process of extending your rental is very easy with Enterprise as well -- simply call them the day you're due to turn your car in and let them know you'd like to extend. They can take care of everything right over the phone! I was able to extend my rental as I needed it, which was great since I had no idea when I'd be able to get into a car of my own again. If and when I need to rent a car again in the future, I will choose Enterprise every single time. read more

Not only did my rental cost $40 more per day then absolutely every other car rental establishment around, I also found the female staff that waited on me at the transit road location, to have zero customer service skills. I would have merely looked past her cold stare and smarmy tone if my experience had ended there, but that's not the case. Several days after my rental had been returned, I still hadn't gotten my $300 deposit back, that's mandated for every rental. My total bill for one day of rental came to $379, including deposit, so, naturally I was anticipating my refund immediately upon returning the rental- or at least in a reasonable time frame. Again, not the case. Finally, four days later, I called Enterprise and the female who waited on me originally, had answered the phone. When I inquired about my deposit she claimed my transaction hadn't yet been closed out, and that she would have it done by the days end. I asked when I might expect to see my deposit back in my bank account? She replied, if not by days end tomorrow, then the next day. Three more days went by, still no refund. I literally just called the location again, now a full week later. This time a polite and helpful gentleman answered. I explained my situation and within a minute or so and a few keyboard clicks, he was back on the line telling me everything is all set and I should expect my refund within the next two business days. Thank you to that nice man!! For being so personable and helpful!! However, this had proved to me that the female employee I had initially dealt with did absolutely nothing to help me get my deposit back. And hadn't I been so persistent in getting it back myself, I'm not confident Enterprise would have made things right on their own. I feel they definitely would have just kept my deposit. Takeaway: when doing business, with at least this Enterprise location, make sure you keep track of where your deposit is going. Because if you aren't paying attention, they just might not give it back!! And $379 for a one day rental is a bit steep in my opinion, for a Honda civic anyhow.... read more

After hitting the cart corral at my second job, I needed a rental to help get me through the week, while collision work was done on my car. While speaking with someone from Enterprise (from outside of NYS) about my insurance claim, she also set up a pick up time of 8:30am at Kling Brothers Collision on June 21. Nick picked me up. He was very professional and kind. He picked me up in a black Camry. Ulric, his coworker, took down my information and set me up with that black Camry. My auto insurance covered everything except for something that I added on. (I added on an additional daily fee that they'll charge you where if you get into an accident with your rental, it won't be reported to your car insurance company and Enterprise will take care of everything. Based on my track record, I figured it was a good idea.) Hayden, another employee from this location, called me yesterday afternoon to see how I liked the Camry. I was being honest, when I said it was great. It has a smooth ride, was built well, and I couldn't feel it much when I did graze over potholes or bumps in the road. When I was given the keys, the car was clean and neat. There weren't any floor mats in it. I thought that was odd but it wasn't a big deal. After work, I filled used $15.00 to fully fill up the Camry with gas. (Before I was given the keys, I had to tell Ulric whether or not I would fill up the vehicle or if I wanted them to charge me $2.99/gallon for their employees to fuel the vehicle.) After giving Ulric the keys backs today, he checked the mileage and condition of the vehicle. He mentioned that I would be given a credit within the next couple of days, for returning the vehicle sooner than was expected. Nick drove me back to Kling Brothers Collision and I thanked him for his help. If you need a vehicle because of an accident or because you're going on vacation, definitely choose this location. My experience with this office keeps getting worse! At the time of my rental, I was given an old car that was not cleaned and had no gas. Upon reporting the fuel shortage to the office they told me to just bring it back empty.....I guess at this office it's your responsibility to fuel your own car? The car had a heavy fragrance when I drove off which I assumed was a disinfectant, once the smell wore off I later realized it was a smoking vehicle. When I reported it to customer service they recommended I swap out cars and arranged a new car at the airport for me. Upon arrival at the airport, the manager informed me that he did not have a car for me, he needed to take care of his customers first! (It was late at night with nearly 60 cars in the garage) he took one look at the car I was driving and did not want to deal with it. The next day the manager of this location called me to tell me to come in and she would attempt to clean my car for me or give me a compact car (I'm driving a full-size car). Being a workday I did not have time to wait around while they "attempt" to clean the car that should have never been given to me in the first place. Offering a compact car at the same rate is just insulting. The manager was rude and condescending, she has no care or concern for her customers. The fact that this location rents cars in this condition is shameful. They take advantage of the fact my insurance company is paying the rental and have me trapped. Had this been a cash rental I would have returned that car after the first 15 min of driving it! read more

Even when I had to switch my vehicle, they went above and beyond to help me and make me feel comfortable. I give this location LESS THAN ZERO stars. The customer service is terrible and there is not one, single employee that works there that knows anything or is willing to ask since they don't. I also contacted customer service through the corporate office to again be met with the worse customer service I've ever encountered. Do not use Enterprise for your rental car needs. Tried to rent a vehicle for a couple of days while my car was in the shop for repairs. I arrived an hour early of my reservation time. All of the cars on the lot were dirty and are only cleaned after you sign the rental contract (bizarre). When the manager brought out the car after being washed (still dirty on the outside - poor job on cleaning) the vehicle had several areas of dings, scuffs and damage, they refused to document and said it was all normal wear-and-tear. Manager was condescending and refused to document as it did not meet their paramaters of being damaged. The front bumper cover also damaged larger than the size of her damage ruler template on her keychain - still refused to document. Interrior of the car was in ok condition but drivers car seat stained and dirty. Manager said it was sanitized and is fine - told her it needs to be cleaned with upholstery cleaner not just wiped down. At this point we were an hour into the process. The rental car had approximately 35k miles on the odometer and looked abused and poorly maintained. After asking the manager to cancel the contract I asked if I could have documentation stating canceled or voided - she again refused my request. I returned my rental at night after hours and used the drop box...BIG MISTAKE. I had left approximately $30 worth of party goods in the trunk of the rental. I totally forgot about them. Yes my fault, HOWEVER, if in fact they CHECK the vehicle out and clean it/sanitized it before renting it again they would have found my property. I called the next day and they claim the technician did not find anything. I am without a doublt,... 110% percent positive that these products were left in the trunk..no question. There is NO way...NO how that ANYBODY checked that vehicle prior to renting it out again. NONE. PERIOD. I am just disappointed that I have to go and repurchase these items again because either they failed to "clean"the vehicle out after my use or they decided they needed these items more than I did. read more

56 minutes ago Made a reservation yesterday 8/23 for today 8/24/20 @ 10am - got there at 10am to stand in line outside following COVID procedures - there were three people ahead of me - no problem - roughly fifteen minutes later a family arrives and stands behind me - The site seems to have overbooked reservations because they don't have any cars on site and we're watching the staff leave in pairs to bring back more vehicles - now the male staff that processed the three people before me comes out and totally skips over me and heads to the family behind me - they politely redirect him to me because I was there first - he comes over and nonchalantly apologies and takes my license - when he returns he states that my reservation was made yesterday and they won't have a car for me until like 3pm he's not sure - it is now 10:40 and I watch this gentleman return to the family behind me and confirm their rental for 10:30 letting them know it's on its way - when I asked why their reservation was being honored instead of mine I was told it was because they made the reservation prior to mine even though their pickup time was at 10:30 am and mine was 10am - I asked to speak to the manager whom never came out to address my issues/concerns - I ended up called the site and was hold for ten minutes before someone answered the phone for this location and low and behold it was the manager CAROLYN - It is now 11:15 and I'm explaining to her that I'm outside and have been for well over an hour and I'm watching everyone being serviced without issue yet my reservation won't be honored - I'm watching staff leave in pairs and return with vehicles for other patrons (specifically people who's reservation times were after mine) while I'm being overlooked and disregarded - she was dry, and condescending- and even told me I could book elsewhere - just wow - and unfortunately I must and will point out that I was the only African American customer on site - this was beyond a ridiculous ordeal and I unfortunately feel mentally and emotionally drained by the blatant and seemingly intentional lack of delightful/pleasant service - I can't help but feel/think it was racially fueled and that just sucks - I've called corporate twice , left an email and even live chatted the incident with the company because you folks need to know THIS IS NOT OK - Carolyn needs to know THIS IS NOT OK - EVER - Tisk tisk enterprise - TISK TISK read more

Rented a car last week while mine's in the shop. Tonight I was on the way home from the dentist when the battery died. Was barely able to coast it off the road and into a driveway. Called roadside assistance. They initially refused to help me because the person who took care of me at the rental company entered my date of birth wrong. The left me sitting in a freezing car when it was 19 degrees out and snowing in a dark car after sunset for over an hour and it wasn't because of them that I eventually got home! They told me I needed to call my local branch to get my date of birth corrected-a branch that had closed for the day an hour and a half earlier. I was finally able to reach someone who told me what DOB I'd been given, then connected me back to roadside assistance. Roadside assistance told me they'd call someone to come jump me and the fee for it would be $55 and I was responsible for it. I could pay it either when the guy came to jump me or when I turned the rental back in. When I said "Wait a minute...you want me to pay because you gave me a car with a dying battery that's left me stranded out in the freezing cold?!" She said I would have to take any issue with that up with the (closed!) local branch because each branch determines its roadside assistance cost. At no time when we were going over the contract did the person tell me I would be responsible for their dead battery! Just any toll costs or tickets I may incur. Fortunately, I live in the city of great neighbors and a man with a jump box came to my rescue so I could cancel the roadside assistance and go home to thaw out with my dogs! read more

The service was good but the fees you get ripped-off with are hidden until you return the car. They should be posted and upfront so that you know when you return the car that you more than likely will not get your deposit back and in fact owe them more! Then sales tax is 14.75%! Good Grief! They really should have told me what all of the hidden fees entailed. Total rip-off! Never again! The same holds true with their website. I thought businesses had to be upfront with all the costs involved. No wonder you need to put down a significant deposit. Now that I am more aware I will definitely be on top of it all. I got a rental through this company as a curtesy of northeast collision for getting my car repaired by them. When I returned the rental to the collision shop, they said they would turn it into enterprise for me. I left the rental at Northeast and took my own vehicle home. I thought everything went smoothly until I received a call the next morning that the rental had not been returned until the day after I dropped it off and there were damages. It sat in the collision shop parking lot overnight without my knowledge and enterprise is holding me responsible for $400 worth of damage I didn't do. I will never use either company again nor will I ever let a collision shop or dealer return a curtesy rental for me. God forbid you trust people that you are already giving a lot of money to. read more

Very terrible customer service! I informed them it was my first time going through a rental car service. They did not give me all the information I needed and of course failed to inform me I could use my own insurance since my car was across the street getting repaired. When returning the car they told me it was a daily charge for the insurance that my card was charged without my knowledge! They rental agent was very unprofessional and rude! for the most part its a great company, I hate the fact that they precharge your credit card for $300 even if you only have a $75 rental etc.. or $100 more than your rental that's my biggest complaint about them and if you dare to use a debit card than its a $500 charge seems a bit much in this day and age. read more

I was in an accident involving a deer and therefore my insurance company covered a rental car from Enterprise for 30 days. Firstly, they didn't tell us anthying about a 100 dollar hold on our account so a family member had to rent and put me on as a driver for an extra $3 a day. It was dark when I picked up the rental, so I didn't notice the crack in the windshield. After calling them I had to bring it back because they had no file of it. So I dragged myself over there for them to measure the crack, tell me I'd have to pay for it, and then tell me it was in the paperwork a few renters ago and I was all set, because they couldn't do that over the phone? But the icing on the cake... I got a phone call today saying I had to bring the car back immediately because they had sold the vehicle WHIE I WAS RENTING IT, and they would give me a new one. Unbelievable. Will rent from Budget only from now on. read more
