Very good service. Helped us a lot with finding the right cars we needed to travel I suggest this place over all in buffalo

Don't do it! Any savings it might seem like you're getting upfront will cost you in aggravation and…read more$$ over the competition. They don't help you when there are problems with your rental. They don't call back when they say they will. Getting a human on the phone is impossible and when you do, they pass the buck and say they can't do anything. First it's talk to the manager. Then the manager has to talk to his boss. All the while they say they'll call back and don't. We were given a brand new car for our rental to go out of state to find a house. It unfortunately developed a catastrophic engine problem and had to be exchanged. That process alone was a huge headache because there are different levels of hertz. The local hertz where we were, out of state, was not "corporate" so they couldn't help. Our only option was to go to the airport which is a nightmare in Itself. So I'm the middle of appointments to look at homes and do all the things necessary to buy a house while being 900 miles away from home, we had to take a trip to the airport in rush hour traffic taking hours out of day. The car we were given was filthy (which is funny since they warn you you'll be charged an exhorbitant fee for returning an excessively dirty vehicle). It was poorly maintained. Tires were dry rotted, brakes worn down and shuttering making our ride home dangerous. Along the way the headlights decided they didn't want to work and we got a message to go to the dealer. The side wall on a tire blew out so we did the right thing and took time out of very busy trip to try to get the tire repaired. The tire company and my husband both spoke with a hertz representative and they refused to cover the cost of the tire because we didn't pay for their extra coverage. However it was likely their poor maintenance of the vehicle that led to the blowout. We could have driven home on the donut and returned it with the blown out tire and called it a day but we didn't. Now for a week, we've been getting the run around about this ridiculous rental experience. To top it off, the manger knew nothing about our issues despite being assured that he was notified of our multiple visits to talk to him. All he offers is a voucher for another rental. Ummm we won't ever rent from hertz again. In addition to the above, their plate pass system changes you for tolls even when you use your own ezpass. The number on the plate pass box and website are out of service and it takes 5 business days to get a response via email. Last time we were charged over $400 for tolls when we paid with our ezpass and had to jump through all kinds of hoops to get the charge removed. We'll see what they try to charge us this time. I did my part and tried to handle it preemptively but they make that impossible. If you want to punish yourself, rent from Hertz. Their motto should be Hertz hurts!!

I've *never* written a 1-star review before. This one is the result of a pretty dire situation on…read moremy end, that Hertz did not help me at all with. My car was stolen (and found, severely damaged if not completely totaled) earlier this month. To say it's been upsetting would be downplaying the entire situation. From the police to the insurance and rental car companies -- there are a lot of moving parts involved in the process of reporting your car stolen, filing a claim, etc. My insurance company set me up with Hertz for a rental car. I called more than once over the course of 10 days just to be told I'm on a waitlist and they will contact me when a car is ready. I was never offered a car at a different location or even an estimated date for when a car would be ready. Radio silence on their end. This added to the stress I was already feeling about my car being stolen. I eventually just called my insurance and had them set me up with a different rental car company, who immediately gave me an appointment date and time to pick up a rental car. I understand that my problems in life are my own, however this company had one job to do, which was to provide me a rental car or at least keep me well-informed during the process, and they did not do that. I strongly urge anyone looking for a rental to consider another company. There are plenty in this area -- choose one that is reliable.
