I returned the minivan exactly at 11 am 4/11/2025 one hour before the drop-off time, but recorded as returning at exactly 4:59pm 4/11/2025 and charged for additional $99. No way to prove that. Do I need to take photos at returning every time? update - the picking-up branch contacted me and refund the extra charge. But they said it's due to the drop-off branch closed. They don't care. We made a reservation, but they had no car for us. They were not the least bit apologetic, and even rather surly about it. Most people renting cars have flights or reservations to keep and yet this sort of treatment happens "all the time." Shame on you for allowing that to be normal. I was treated very poorly I reserved the only car left in the city or neighboring cities, had a whole family waiting on me and he says oops I screwed up and I can only run a card once every 24 hours. Wtf is that. I can't even wrap my mind around a business practicing in that manner. Required a 4x4 truck, but upon arriving was informed it would be a van. Told they couldn't get a hold of me to change vehicles, then pointed to my number on their computer screen. Made confirmed reservations for seven different long-term rentals, but alas not found on their end. Enterprise is no longer my "go to" rental car company. Excellent customer service, excellent cars and excellent help with questions mid-rental. Sally (I believe was her name) was great. First, she persuaded me in a very friendly and not pushy way to sign up for the rewards program. She explained to me the benefits in a sincere way and I felt compelled to do it (even though I am against giving free info to companies...). I had to extend the rental and had to call them and Sally was able to help me promptly and even gave me a precise estimate of how much it would be by the intended return date. Believe it or not Avis across the street does the same thing and then jacks up the price and tells you it is your fault for not looking...Anyways, these shady practices are not a part of Enterprise's business model so that is nice. I always thought enterprise was the most expensive but it seems they are competing with prices with all the other guys so IT REALLY DOESNT MAKE SENSE TO PAY THE SAME PRICE FOR THE SAME OR LESS OF A CAR, BUT WITH CRAPPY SERVICE LIKE AT AVIS/BUDGET. read more

We've used Enterprise a handful of times and have always received stellar service and a quality vehicle, until today. My wife and I had reserved a minivan a couple of days in advance of a short trip we were taking. We showed up early for the scheduled pickup to discover them in the process of renting the van to someone else. The clerk informed us in an accusatory tone that they were given the wrong phone number and were unable to contact us to confirm the rental, so naturally... they rented the van to a walk in minutes before we were suppose to pick it up. They did however have my wife's email, physical address, insurance information and whatnot, on account of being a repeat customer and all. She also has an unusual name with the same phone number for decades, a simple google would have shown that the clerk entered the wrong number. They said they might have an SUV they could rent us, which would have been marginally larger than our own vehicle. No other offers were made, there may have been a token apology, but it rang so hollow as to not even register. read more

Was super disappointed... my car should have been at the shop I was getting my car fixed at but it wasn't. They had me waiting 35-40 minutes for them to drop the car off which is only 5 minutes away, it's not the shops fault it's the poor communication this enterprise has. When the person from the auto shop gets ahold of enterprise they say they are dropping the car off, but when they get there this lady says I have to go back to enterprise even though she had everything with her to give me the car there. I was super uncomfortable with her driving because she barley had her mask on and drove super bad. She kept asking questions I wasn't comfortable with. I've used enterprise before and it was a breeze but all this has taken a lot of time out of my day. read more

I had a problem with my rental(bummer) while traveling from Portland to Sacramento. I pulled in to the Enterprise in South Salem and explained the problem. Lydia immediately got on the phone and found me another comparable vehicle. Unfortunately it was in Corvalis. When I got to Corvalis, Bryan was super apologetic and got me in and out with no fuss. The people working here are awesome. I got a price quote for a three week car rental and realized I couldn't pick it up on the day I had initially planned. When I called back to see if I could come a day later, the price went up by two hundred dollars. So I called the actual office and they honored my initial price and saved me over two hundred bucks. 1000x easier process than Hertz! Especially if you're under 25. I was in and out in literally 5 minutes to reserve a car for the next day. I'm 24 and I didn't even need a co-signer. The cost was very reasonable, I was surprised and very pleased. They made sure I got a car I was happy with. The only thing I'd say is they didn't ask if I wanted to pre-purchase the gas in the tank, I highly recommend doing that, it will save you money in gas. read more

I just rented a car in corvallis. i've rented cars in the states many times before and I never leave reviews but I just gotta say that it was a great experience! The staff members were all nice and helpful, offered me an upgrade when they didnt have my car and free gas. they let me extend my return time even though I picked up the car late. when i came to return the car and asked if I could keep it for another day they offered it to me in a great price! when I finally did return the car and it was raining they offered me a ride back home because of the rain and actually gave me that ride (i didnt even have to wait, just walked out and got on the car). really a great car rental experience for a change. and on top of all that the price was a good price. just thought i'd send this review so they'd know that their kindness didn't go unnoticed. read more

They went out of their way to help us, we tried to drop off our car at Albany but they were closed on the weekends and we're going to charge us at least another $300. I took the car to Corvallis and even though it's not their responsibility they stepped up and took the car from us and did not charge us. Could not recommend more highly! I called the day before because the dealership had made arrangements to rent me a car since mine was in the shop. The day of I requested a pickup because I had to return the loaner and didn't have anyone to drive me home. The person who I spoke to had said they would arrive between 15-20 minutes.... 45 minutes later still a no show. The dealership said to back home with the loaner. Rented a car in Portland dropped off in Corvallis. Told them I would drop off at 430pm, enterprise rep said no problem. Problem is the Corvallis office closes at noon. No body bothered to let me know that or I would have dropped it off by noon. Sign on the after hours drop box says if you drop off after hours you will be charged an additional day. There's no way I intend to pay an additional day when the car was actually returned early. Looks like enterprise lost me as a customer. I have been greeted with awesome customer service every time I have rented a car from this branch. The employees who work here really go the extra mile to make sure that the customer is satisfied with their rental vehicle and if you are not satisfied with the condition of the car, they will be sure to set things straight before they charge your card for the cost of the rental. I give many thanks to Jessica, Andrea, and Scott who work at this branch - these employees have made my day every time I rented a car. Extra thanks to Jessica who greets me by my first name every time I come in (since I am a frequent renter) - she sets the standard for every Enterprise employee out there! I have rented from Enterprise for years now. Generally when my own vehicle needs repairs. I just called to schedule a rental for later this month since I know the repair shop will have mine for several days. I have always used my debit card when paying, so I knew of the $250 deposit. BUT now they also want me to bring in a utility bill to prove I am a local resident! Seems my Oregon Driver's License with my local address and the fact that I have been a repeat customer is no longer good enough for this company. So now, they are no longer good enough to receive my business. read more
