Super friendly staff, Dana, upon checkin along with evening cookies that were there both nights! Check in was easy and our room was way more spacious than they appeared online. The beds were comfy. My issue was the heat- we keep our heat at 61F at home and ended up turning it off the second night because it already was pretty warm and actually opened the window along with having the heat off for nice fresh air. We didn't have service for our room after the first day but that was completely fine since we were reusing towels from showers and didn't need our bed made up. The breakfast had many offerings- different bread products, cereals with milk and almond milk, oatmeal, waffles, canned and fresh fruit, hot items including eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, cinnamon rolls, tortillas, cheese. My wish for the Best Western is to become more eco friendly- recycling in the rooms and public areas as well as composting in the breakfast area. We also REALLY appreciated the Tesla destination chargers for guests as we used them both days with an adapter for our Kia. One thing that did weird me out were the one way mirrors so we asked for blankets to cover them up. The bathroom mirror was a normal mirror. Also the guest above us the second night sounded like elephants around 6:30am, otherwise we didn't have any noise issues during our two night stay. They will not give a refund due to cancellation because of COVID. They pocketed our money without first trying to resell the room which should have been easy because of graduation. read more

I'm trying to not be that one star kinda chick in 2024, but this hotel is really trying it! First off, I stayed here during the crazy ice storm. There was no visible salt or remedy for the conditions, I essentially had to ice skate to the lobby. The actual room was really nice surprisingly! Clearly updated, I'm in a pet friendly room so laminate floors which is always my preference with my allergies. On closer inspection, this place is quite shabby though. Creakiest mattress ever. Other people's hair all over the bathroom. But the biggest sin of all is how thin the walls are! There is zeroooo sound proofing. I was on the first floor so I was awakened by someone moving around above me at 3am and couldn't fall back asleep until 5am. I heard them through my headphones, with music on! And the noise picked back up the following afternoon, so I'm just going to plan to not get any rest until I check out and get back to my own bed. It's a shame because the price is great but it's so not worth it. I'll pay a bit more and stay somewhere else next time I need a hotel in Corvallis. :( read more

It's a typical two star hotel. Thin walls so you can hear the next room's conversation, hall noise as you would expect in a college town and unfortunately we got a room with a dumpster view. We stayed two nights and don't make up your room in between yet they ask for tips. read more

We stayed for one night and checked in around 6:45 PM. We had been in the room for about an hour and a half when I noticed that the toilet was leaking from the tank. I put a couple of towels down to sop it up but the leaking was getting worse. We contacted the front desk staff and he came up right away to check on the situation. He was very helpful and asked if we would like to change rooms, which we did. The new room was very cold, we turned the heater up but it took a couple of hours to get it up to 70. When we went to bed I discovered the sheets made me itch. I have very sensitive skin and have bad reactions to many detergents, but this is the first time in many years that I have had this problem at a hotel. When I went to take a shower I realized there was a part missing. The temperature control bar wasn't there and the pressure handle was very hard to adjust. I tried to turn the temperature down with it but only got very hot water. I had to skip my shower. The breakfast buffet was ok, but the eggs and potatoes were barely warm. The make your own waffles were good. This is the first Best Western in Oregon that we have stayed at that we have had any issues with. On the plus side, the rooms were large and comfortable. The staff was good. FYI-I worked in the Hotel Industry for 25 years so I can be picky. I try to find good things about the places I stay, and I think that this hotel just needs more maintenance. I'm also surprised that housekeeping didn't notice the missing temperature adjustment bar. read more

Once again, the manager was rude and totally unreasonable. We made the reservation on Thursday afternoon for the next day, Friday. My sweetheart got very ill that night. He got COVID from work. We called the first thing in the morning to cancel the reservation. They charged us anyway--$405.00 plus tax for a night we did not get!! We were going there for his son's graduation from OSU. We could not go to his graduation. I talked with the corporate office and they said that hotel is privately owned so they make the decision. Very poor business. I am a business owner and I would never do that to a customer. I will never use Best Western in Corvallis. Their manager, Zoedel, was rude and hung up on me today. read more

Hotel was clean and comfortable. 5 mins from OSU, and plenty of food/retail options. I was disappointed their "breakfast" options were limited to cereal, bagels, and do it yourself waffles. No basic egg, bacon or sausage patty options available. At least not mid-week. Also, BW rewards members, don't bother competing your pre-registration email. They claim they don't receive this information, and you are required to fill all the same information out in person. Overall, hoped for just a little more for the price. read more

I probably would have forgotten to post this except the Assissted mgr was arrogant and dismissive. We stayed at the Best Western in Corvallis OR back in October. I understand that our sheets were not changed once during our stay or was the trash dumped as it overflowed the receptacles. The sink would not drain and I was told there was no service over the weekend. I was told 2 different stories 1 was that they would take care of it and when I made not of the situation upon check-out I was told there was no service. I paid $225 a night to have TERRIBLE service in the hotel. I told the asst mgr or so that who he said he was , however he said he would wait for this write up! read more

Booked a 4 night stay in Corvallis, Oregon several months ago thru the BW website in preparation for our son's Oregon State University trip. We were however able to secure an apartment for him last week so we did not really need the hotel. Unfortunately we're past the 14 day requirements to cancel the room. I was even willing to pay a fee or one night stay but was told by local manager that I was out of luck. If I booked thru Booking.com or even Expedia (which I should have) I can cancel the night before. Our stay is in 4 days. The city of Corvallis is really busy this time of year and I am confident that BW will not have any problem filling their rooms. In the future I will avoid Best Western. We've stayed in a BW hotel multiple times in the last 2 years. Time for a change. read more

Pros: Clean Safe Plenty of parking Decent mattress Spacious rooms Balconies Cons: Outside of downtown, away from things Can be pricy on busy weekends It's the standard affordable motel in layout--they don't waste a lot of space on grand lobbies or cavernous hallways or anything like that. They do offer a swimming pool, which I completely ignored (it's in a fenced area in the parking lot). The rooms are large--seating area, desk area, makeup mirror area, all of these are distinct sections of the room, and the bathroom is decent size. Everything is in a retro-early-60s style, and the decor doesn't look like stuff they bought cheap. Not that it's fancy, it just looks like they bought what they wanted rather than what they got stuck with. Plenty of outlets everywhere, including USB ports for phone charging. Such a pleasant stay. I was supposed to stay at Hotel Corvallis, but my flight arrived too late to be checked in so I was rebooked here. All of the staff here were SO friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was comfortable. The rooms were pretty comfy too. Cleaner than most 2-star hotels that I've stayed in and the balcony was the perfect place to wind down after a long day at the conference that I was in town for. Yummy breakfast and BONUS: the shuttle service (Groome Transportation) picks up at the comfort suites right next door. It was about a 2 minute walk to the drop off spot. read more

Boy how things can change. The person working the front counter can make all the difference! My previous experience at this hotel was wonderful. Unfortunately the experience this early morning after driving for 9 hours to get here was HEINOUS! And BONUS is that we were fraudulently charged for a room we NEVER ENTERED!!! We had reserved a balcony room with 2 beds and let them know that we'd be bringing our pet with us over A MONTH AGO. Checked in using their online pre-check in before we started driving, and when doing so REITERATED that we had reserved a PET FRIENDLY room with 2 beds and a balcony. Started driving and believed that all was well. When we arrived at 2am, we discovered that our reserved room had been given to someone else. The kid working the front desk acted like he was going to do us a "favor" by giving us a room without a balcony as we had reserved, even though a balcony room WAS available, just not one designated for pets. Kicker is that our dog is a hypoallergenic, non-shedding Bichon. He would not have been any issue at all! I asked the kid to speak with their supervisor because he was giving AWFUL customer service and frankly being a complete jerk, even though it was the hotels mistake. No customer service skills whatsoever. In the back, I heard him complain to the person on the phone and not tell the truth about what happened with our reserved room. Only saving grace is that we left at 2 am and found a MUCH BETTER hotel nearby at even better price! read more

Despite the negative reviews below, my significant other and I had a really good experience at Best Western Corvallis. We had the opportunity to stay for three nights during Labor Day 2020 weekend. While looking for places to charge our Tesla, Best Western Corvallis was one of the places in Willamette Valley. Aside from the excellent price, their customer service, clean rooms, and sanitary conditions for COVID-19 sold us to stay there. We personally didn't have any problems charging our Tesla car overnight as we sprinted off to taste wines in Willamette Valley. Despite there wasn't any breakfast available, they weren't afraid to offer grab and go bags choosing from many items (banana, apple, apple sauce, granola bar, breakfast bar, bagel, cream cheese, Yoplait yogurt, Danish). I want to commend the staff including Jacob (and his younger brother), Nick, and Zodel who were humble, kind, and down to earth. Would I recommend Best Western Corvallis to others? Definitely. Would I stay at Best Western Corvallis again? Most definitely. read more

Floors between levels are too thin and either the person above is ginormous or the floor is termite eaten ready to fall through. Sounds like the person is Giant stomping Around and it's almost midnight. You can hear everything outside the sliding door including the cars in parking lot locking their doors as it beeps. The hotel is modern inside but with the rude reception and contradictions... Honestly, after an experience like this I will not be returning to any Best Western. The advertised room and rates with accepted pet policies was misleading and false. I went out of my way to book the most expensive "pet" room in the hotel to guarantee a comfortable stay while in Corvallis and was greeted with nothing but problems from the moment I reserved the room online - staff called several times to confirm, got an email saying my room was ready for purchase like it was incomplete, lack of communication on my trip being a business trip, etc. The list truly goes on. For future guests, the website needs to be maintained and clearer about policies and rooms need to be clearly marked for pets - we were told we could not stay with our pet because of allergy concerns and carpet concerns but were put into another "pet accepted" room the next day that was an ADA room with carpet. Do ADA guests not have allergies and does their carpet mean less to this hotel?! The contradictions didn't stop here. Airbnb didn't kill the hotel industry, the hotel industry did. read more

The owner pictures posted here are accurate. The rooms have been nicely renovated, spacious, and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The WiFi speed is one of the best speeds in hotels. It's sufficient to enough to browse without any lagging. The complimentary breakfast is good and they keep it clean. The location is real close to OSU and there's plenty of stores around within walking distance. I would definitely recommend staying here. read more

My daughter and I stayed for 1 night while attending START at OSU. The place was great. The place has gone through a remodel and was very affordable. I wasn't sure what to expect. The lady at the front desk was super, super nice when we checked in and put us in a room on the 3rd floor. The rooms are huge with a seating area, desk, makeup mirror, full length mirror, great bathroom vanity area and so forth. We had a double bed room and the beds were very comfortable. There were even USB ports for phone charging. It was 95 degrees the day we stayed so we enjoyed the pool as well. It was clean and quiet. I would stay here again when visiting Corvallis. read more

My usual hotel (Holiday Inn Express) was all booked up for some reason so I booked a night here. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! The room was nice and big. I got the King bed. It is an interesting configuration though. The desk was behind the bed. Not sure if that paints a picture for you, but anyway, it didn't bother me. But, I do like to be able to watch TV while I work so I had to keep peering over the headboard. It was fine. It's a nicer than average BW. Amenities were typical with the usual breakfast bar offerings in the morning, cookies and waters in the welcome area of the lobby and little business center where you could printout docs or get online if you didn't bring your laptop. There is free WiFi which seems to be the standard in most of these hotels now. Internet speed was good, but when it came to trying to Skype or use FaceTime, it had terrible lag. One thing to note is that the BW is in a great location with lots of stores and shops nearby and within walking distance. There's a Starbucks across the street as well as shopping at the Michaels and TJ Maxx across the other street. The BW hotel is also in a little area with two other hotel chains. read more

At first glance, we were very impressed with this hotel. Seemed it had been upgraded since I had last been to Corvallis. The front desk/customer service was extraordinary. We got to our 2nd floor room & was impressed with how big & spacious it was. At 10pm, we could hear the people in the room right above us walking around. The walls are paper thin. We thought the noise would stop, but it continued on until 1:30am, even after we had called the front desk to report it. We finally asked to move to another floor (the 3rd floor) so we wouldn't hear people above us. The room was great & we didn't have the noise problem anymore. This hotel is centrally located near OSU and they have a decent breakfast. I'd recommend it, but would advise that you request the 3rd floor. read more

Ok...not sure why this place is getting five stars from other reviewers. This isn't a bad place, but it isn't a great place, and there are some better choices in Corvallis to stay. Here is the quick lo-down: Pros: - Internet speed. 60Mb download? Are you kidding me? During peak hours? If the cons are not that big of a deal, and you live in an outlying area of Corvallis, you may want to just spend the night here to do a boatload of downloads to take home. Unheard of for a hotel. - Cheap. If you are willing to pay ahead of time, a large king room is well below the average rate in the area. - Free Breakfast. Most places do this, but this is OK. Nothing to write home about, but it is free, so given the low rate of the room and the wicked fast Internet speed, this is just another neat perk. Cons: - Smell of Disguise. When you go into a home that was owned by a smoker or a pet owner, there is a machine that will spill out a smell that attempts to cover up these smells. This is used mainly when said smoker or home owner is trying to sell the house. This has that smell all throughout the building. It isn't until you bypass the elevator and go up the stairs that you smell the real smell...and it isn't pretty. - 5 Small Fluffy Pillows. I don't understand why places do this. King size bed, and 5 square pillows. So I now have to mash three of them together in some sort of configuration that allows me to actually use it as a single pillow. Fail. - Springy Bed. You get what you pay for. I guess you might as well spend the entire evening enjoying the screaming Internet speeds. Overall, the staff was decent, the place was cheap, and they fit the bill. I would go there again, but only if the other two hotels of choice are full. But not a bad third option. I will bring my own pillow. read more

Disclaimer: I am giving them five stars for service! We didn't actually stay there due to a booking snafu. I mis-booked a room here and didn't realize it until it was WAY too late. I called the national toll-free number and while they weren't able to help immediately, they had another customer service person call me back (and they did, very quickly) to try to resolve the situation. They in turn had the manager here, Noah, call me back the following morning (the day of the reservation) and he sorted everything out. The incorrect booking was completely my mistake and Noah at this location went out of his way to call me back and get it all smoothed out. We recently had to stay in Corvallis overnight, and this is on of the nicest, cleanest motels I have ever stayed at. Our room had been recently renovated and for the price was very clean and comfortable. There iss plenty of parking, and the staff were warm and friendly. They offer military discount and are not far from OSU, they are also within walking distance of Pastini's, an excellent restaurant. If I had one minor issue, it was the break fast, the bread for the toast was stale but that was very minor. If we have to return we will stay there again. read more

My husband and I travelled to Corvallis for 2 weeks in the winter and had a FANTASTIC experience at the Best Western Grand Manor. Fresh chocolate chip cookies and hot apple cider greeted us when we checked in. We later found out that they had them available every afternoon! Parking was free! The staff was very friendly and helpful - we had never been to Oregon before AND it was winter, but they helped us find good local restaurants and (FUN!) wine tasting in the area. They were also very quick and helpful with any extra requests we had - extra glasses, towels, even wine glasses. Breakfast is provided free each morning, and it is WAY more than your average hotel continental breakfast fare: eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffle maker & amazing, local cinnamon raisin bread in addition to the usual oatmeal, cereal, coffee and fruit. Free copies of USA today are available every day. We loved our room, it was very spacious and comfortable with king size bed, flat screen TV, couch, bathtub and desk area. We also had our own mini fridge and microwave. Everything was very clean and the room was very tastefully decorated. We were also surprised to have a small porch area outside! We would have enjoyed that even more if it wasn't the middle of January. There is also an exercise room with treadmill, ellipticals, and other weight machines. There are even 2 individual steam rooms/dry saunas inside. Pool is heated seasonally (too cold for it in January) but it was a nice pool area. Will have to try in the summer. Situated across the street from shopping center with a Trader Joe's to get any basic items you need. Its about a 5 minute drive from downtown Corvallis and we loved getting to explore the downtown. Close to lots of great shops and restaurants, microbreweries, hiking and trails, wine tasting and local farms. An hour and a half south of Portland and an hour east of Newport make it perfect for making day trips. Great hotel, great location - we can't wait to go back! read more

I tried to call Best Western to follow up about a job application and the front desk lady, I believe her name is Odell or something like that I could barely understand her, was extremely rude and had 0 customer service. She refused to give me any good service even though I don't know her and the intention of the call was not for her. All I asked her was if I could speak to a manager to follow up on a job application. I was very polite and kind on the phone, but she instead was saying snarling remarks under her breath and would not do any of the things I had asked over the phone. She was deliberately rude and I have never been treated with so much disrespect, she should be fired. I don't know how she has a customer service job in the first place, one of the rudest people I've talked to and there isn't a lot of rude people in Oregon that's the crazy part hahaha.
