I've had a better stay here in the past. Honestly, I'm a little disappointed this time around. It's silly, but I love being acknowledged for my status, especially since I'm very dedicated and that didn't happen this time. But I think the most disappointing part was having to share my room with a ton of bugs. See a picture of a few different ones on my review. Also, the coffee bar was not well staffed and there was a giant group of college students ordering food and there were two of us not with the group who wanted something and it would've been nice if they prioritized our order instead of having us wait until after the entire group was served. We would've had to wait 20 to 30 minutes for food. I went upstairs to make some oatmeal I had in the room and it turns out that the microwave of my room is broken so I couldn't even do that. Hotel has an AMAZING location in the heart of Corvallis next to many shops, bars, restaurants and a great farmers market if staying over the weekend! 4th floor had outdoor space with fire pits available overlooking Willamette. Hotel had bar, Starbucks and options for some light bites. Rooms were clean and nice sized. Shower was a bit odd, half door and we had issues with water getting on floor and they need to do a refresh on pillows. Lots of onsite parking available for $10/day which was convenient and nicely priced. Overall, really happy with the hotel and would recommend. read more

As a Mariott Bonvoy member I always ask to be placed away from elevators and ice machines and other noisy areas because unlike others, I'm not here for a game, but staying during a work trip. They placed me right across from the housekeeping room where carts are coming in and out. There is poor insulation or very large and loud people above that sound like elephants running across the room above constantly. I tried to enjoy the firepit they advertise on the 4th floor terrace one night, but we're told it would be closed at 10 to not disturb the people on that floor facing the non audible fire pit. I will give a one star for location and no bed bugs read more

I stayed at Courtyard Corvallis for about 27 days recently and had a great experience overall. The location is perfect--super walkable and close to everything I needed, which made the stay really convenient. The hotel was very clean, and the rooms were comfortable and well taken care of. During my second visit, I was a little confused by the housekeeping schedule--it started off every other day and then switched to daily during my last week. Not a complaint at all (more clean towels, yay!), just something I noticed. The staff was friendly, professional, and very accommodating throughout my stay. I'd definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, convenient place to stay in Corvallis! read more

Stayed one night traveling for work. One night rate of $273 seemed really high for a Courtyard brand hotel in a small town but work paid for it. Was given a high floor corner room that had two huge windows. King suite was very comfortable but TV could have been bigger and no HBO is disappointing. Room had modern decor and I loved all the outlets and USB ports to charge my computer and electronics. Internet was ok but not great. For the service restaurant plus a bar covered parking and it's right on the river. Very clean and nicely. Amenitized. This property is in a good location along the Willamette River in the small town of Corvallis. The area has a small town feel. The hotel has a good walk score to restaurants, shopping, etc. The boardwalk along the river crosses the hotel property. Access to the river for wading or tubing is right there! Guests have to pay for parking. I'm told at times there is free parking, but I didn't risk it and it requires being around to move the vehicle. During my visit, it appeared they were experiencing a staffing shortage as some services (like food) and food wasn't available. Coffee was expensive. Maid service and check-in service was friendly and helpful. Food/bar services were barely transactional, sadly. When positions were filled, it appeared they were filled by young students not interested in being in a hospitality arena. It seemed like various people were entering and exiting the kitchen delivering food, etc. as if there was nobody occupying that role - from the looks on those people's faces it appeared there was a problem they didn't feel good about taking care of. On a day that I was able to order breakfast, it turned out to be among the most disappointing breakfast I've ever received in a hotel. My room was spacious, clean, and quite comfortable. Didn't have any complaints about the bed. Check-in and out was efficient. Definitely glad I made this choice and assume things would be smoother if staffing was taken care of. Lovely hotel, next to water front. Nicely done rooms, very comfy beds and pillows, good a/c. The staff has been amazing. Our trip to visit family went inside out when my mom had a medical emergency. The staff helped in calling EMS and have been kind and supportive as we navigate needing to extend our stay and get mom well enough to go home. I'm eternally grateful for the compassion shown by the staff here. Topping it all off was the goodie bag they gave us as a care package. read more

The #1-5 best things about this hotel are its location - along the river, only a block or two to so many great restaurants, and quick access to the highway into/out of town. I was disappointed though in it as a family-friendly hotel when traveling w/kids. We'd recently stayed at the Bend Springhill and I get that its a different brand, but when traveling w/kids the cocoa bar, continental breakfast, and larger fridge are must have's these day. No fault of this hotel - just something to keep in mind. That being said, the hotel/room was clean, staff was very friendly and accommodating and we did get our status upgrade which was really appreciated. The non-balcony rooms all face town and have great views, but it's really cool to have the river view if you can get it. read more

For the class of hotels that are Courtyard, this new hotel in Corvallis is lovely. We had never been to this town in Oregon before and arrive around 8 pm, so did know how pretty the location was until the morning. Let's start at the beginning. Parking. Easy, well lit parking facility between the ground floor and the 3rd floor. This makes it easy to park, walk to the elevator and ride down to the lobby. It was the first time I had seen anything like this. The room. The room was clean the bathroom has a full tub in it, and overall a very nice space. Clean and comfortable beds, plenty of plugs, and our room had a mini balcony overlooking the river, which we discovered in the morning. The facility. The bistro was open and serving when we arrived. There were quite a few options. We both had Cobb salads and they were fine. Which was great. There is a full bar, where you can get a beer, wine, or cocktail. All nice for the weary traveler. Outside. Maybe the most exciting discovery was the beautiful walking trail. A nice flat walking path alongside a gorgeous river. Bring your tennis shoes and plan on getting your steps if you choose to stay here. You'll enjoy the experience. read more

Quite possibly the best Courtyard we have ever stayed at. And we have stayed at a lot being former employees. We were on a week long road trip up and down the west coast. Stayed at 5 different Marriott properties, including an MVCI villa, Townplace Suites, Springhill Suites and another Courtyard and this one in Corvallis was the best. Tons of room. Everything looks brand new. Elevators have a cool old school *ding* on each floor, though I could see how it would eventually drive employees crazy hearing it every day. And each floor has music playing at the elevators which we had never seen before. Made the wait less awkward and turned the experience into a dance party for our 5 year old. Ordered food and drinks at the bistro and hands down... one of the best tasting order of brussel sprouts. Yeah. That's never been said before. But they were ridiculously good along with the charcuterie board, old fashioned and a margarita. Only negative is you have to bring it back to your room yourself if you don't want to eat it there. The room itself is decorated very modern. Sleek. Nice futuristic furnishings and leans more European. You even have to put your key card in a slot to use the light switches. Only negative of the room is the shower head. It's horrible. Which is more of a negative on Marriott because they have this shower head design at almost every hotel we have been at in the last few years. It's like they were never tested in a real life scenario because they spray everywhere and flood the bathroom floors. The shower design deserves a rainfall shower head. But that's just me ranting. I could keep going. Seriously.. don't hesitate to make a reservation here. It's Marriott's best foot forward so far with the Courtyard brand. read more

I booked my room via Priceline so didn't get points. The hotel looked pretty empty and I was put in a room that did not overlook the river. The river might be the best thing about this hotel. The bed was on the hard side, no microwave, no extra blanket, the water barely got hot and the shower has this half glass wall rather than a curtain, so it was hard staying warm while I took a shower. You will need your key card to use the elevator, this should have bedn mentioned when I checked in. You will also need an extra key to place in the gadget so the lights go on. A nice locating the along the riverfront. The property seems clean and well organized for these days. Housekeeping procedures have changed a lot but the experience is still a good one. There is no daily housekeeping. One has to request clean towels. No big deal. Most guests, but not all, obey good mask protocol. There are signs everywhere. It is really not that hard. read more

A new Marriott property in Corvallis? When I heard there was a new Courtyard in Corvallis, I was beyond happy. I have to go down to Corvallis at least once a month to work, and when it's more than a day or two, I just don't want to fight traffic and drive back and forth. I prefer Marriott over other chains, and I like the look of the new Courtyards - they have a "boutiquey" feel. And this one is in downtown Corvallis, so it's easy to walk to restaurants or coffee shops in the area. I have now stayed here twice and going back next week for a third stay. My first room faced the river, and while the view was nice, it was a little loud (there were people hanging out late and talking really loud). The room I got this past week, faced the West and had a lovely view, as well as no noise, so I'm going to stick with that from now on. Each room has a small fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker, which I love. Bed was comfy, shower had lots of pressure and they even have good blow dryers, so all of the boxes were checked. One nice thing about this Courtyard, is that they have a full restaurant (a lot of them have a restaurant, but the menu is limited). I worked with my manager and we were too tired to leave the hotel so had dinner there. We split the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, and they were really good. Definitely getting those again. And i got one of the flatbreads as my entree (chorizo and something else, it was a weekly special), and even though it was a little too oily, the overall flavor was good. They also had a nice wine selection, which was a nice surprise. Service was also very friendly and fast (both the restaurant and front desk), and they have a parking garage, which is convenient if you have a car. Overall, a great place to stay in Corvallis, and I'm just happy to stay at a newer, updated property. The other hotel I have been staying at for years, is a little dated and needs updating, so it's nice to have this option. read more

The staff was very pleasant however, the elegant rooms lack Sanitary. The first night I found small Hairs behind the bathroom door and in the shower! The next day I realized there was dry blood stains on my pillow case! That was so disgusting! The staff sent me new pillow cases. All and all this hotel needs someone to make sure all rooms including the bathtub, Bathroom floors and pillow cases are sanitary. read more

AVOID. They cut corners on everything. Rock hard beds, the shower had no door so water got everywhere. They pump in a fake perfume smell. This place was a nightmare I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. It was an OK stay. 1. Parking garage/hotel entry is poorly marked. I had to circle the building to find the entrance. Only when out front by the river, was I able to see through the glass lobby and realize there must be a road (which was really more of an alley) on the other side. There should be SIGNS. 2. First impressions-the hotel was attractive and modern. 3. When we checked in, there were two ladies behind the desk, both on the phone. Neither acknowledge us. We waited while standing in front of the young lady on the right who continued her call at length. While we were waiting, people walked up to the young lady on the left and also waited. That person also did not acknowledge the guest waiting while she concluded her call. However, she did finish her call first and begin waiting on guests while we were still waiting. By this point, there was a line. The lady in front of us finally concluded her call and began checking us in. There must have been some kind of computer problem or lack of training as she became frustrated with the process, yet offered no explanation. Meanwhile, the lady on the left was able to assist numerous guests, including several checkins. Eventually, there were no more guests waiting-just us. Finally giving up, the lady trying to check us in asked the other lady (in a grumpy mood) to help her--never apologizing for the extensive delay or offering any kind of explanation--like we weren't even there. Finally, the other lady was able to get us checked in and give us our card keys. 4. Rooms: Our room was nice, large, and attractive. Bed were comfortable and we liked the pillows. However, after turning out the lights, we discovered how tissue thin the walls--including the exterior walls--were. We could hear the traffic so loudly from a couple streets away I had to get up to see if the window was open. It was not. And we could hear every person and conversation out in the hallway as people came and went. We were just grateful the hotel was not more crowded. 5. Breakfast: Breakfast was not included, which I expected; but the fact we were able to have a hot breakfast at the hotel was a nice touch. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito. 6. Front Desk (again): We needed a couple of bottles of water for activities that day and looked in the gift shop where I had seen some refrigerated drinks. After seeing only very large water bottles, I asked the (same) front desk lady if she knew where we could purchase some single-use size bottles. She did not but then said she had some room-temperature complementary water bottles she could give us, which we accepted. (That would have been nice to have been offered at check-in, so we didn't have to drink the bathroom faucet water.) All-in-all, a few hiccups, but our stay was nice. Some 'white noise' machines in the rooms and additional training for the front desk staff are definitely needed. read more

The parking is beyond ridiculous. For the amount they charge for the rooms, guests should NOT be directed to troll around the neighboring streets in search of a parking spot. And then assured that the police don't usually give tickets in spite of the signs. Absolutely unacceptable. They don't tell you when you enter the room that there is a card key you have to cram into a slot in order to turn on the damn lights. It's so dark in the room at night, you can't see that it's necessary. You can only grope around wondering here the light switch is until you knock the card on the ground and wonder wth it is. And the rest of the lights in the room are wildly inadequate. Having several 40 watt bulbs are pitiful and cheap. Finally, we requested and were assured we'd be given a river side room but NOT told that since it's on the 4th floor, a terrace blocks the view of the river and we essentially paid top dollar for a view of concrete. We are Marriott credit card holders and Marriott Vacation Club members and Marriott time share holders. This hotel is the worst Marriott we have encountered and though we come to Corvallis a lot to visit the university, we see no reason to waste good money on crappy amenities. We'll go to the Best Western instead. read more

Had a recent stay at the Marriott in Corvallis and it was an absolute delight. They have great covid19 procedures in place but that didn't impact their level of service or caring. Every person I worked with, from reservations, to front desk staff, to the cafe was wonderful. My only recommendation for this hotel is to get different mini fridges in the rooms, the ones they have are pretty small and that makes it harder when trying not to go outside unless needed. Grace at Front Desk was super friendly and helped us on multiple occasions throughout the night with everything from the hotel amenities to local restaurant recommendations, and really set this stay up for being a great one. The room itself was extremely clean, and very modern and definitely exceeded our expectations for a Courtyard, had all the creature comforts we could ask for. Great upscale spot in the heart of downtown Corvallis. The lobby is very well done, with upscale touches and tastes of modern leather and steel. We had a fabulous room on the 7th floor with a balcony, plenty of space for two. I'm not a fan of the bathroom and the half-door shower, and hope this is changed out. The bed was super comfortable and slept super well. The location is great - just need to park once in the garage and can bar hop or walk just about anywhere. Corvallis now has Uber too - which makes it even easier to bounce around. I'd love to stay again! read more

I guess I expected more from a Marriott. No good breakfast choices unless you like sugar(I like free myself, like other courtyards). Only two tiny drawers but for a couple nights, again, adequate. New and modern hotel that's sits along a paved sidewalk/river upland. I like how you have to insert your room card into a receiver to activate electrical fixtures in your room. Forget your usb charging block? No problem, there are plenty accessible usb outlet integrates with the electrical outlet. Forget your cord? No problem, there are a set for various types of devices connected to the alarm clock. I did get to stay long enough to experience the nightlife down stairs, but certainly heard the fun happening above the fire pit on the terrace along the walkway and path above the river. I had a door that opened to railing above the terrace. The only think I wasn't excited about is the entry to the hotel which is off an alley way, literally. There is two floors of free parking though. The general location is convenient enough to walk downtown Corvallis (I think that is what is was) and to OSU. I'd stay again. read more

I just left this hotel after a weekend business trip and I am writing this review from the airport as I wait for my flight. The hotel is new, clean, and modern in design. All good points in a hotel, certainly, but what truly sets this location above others is their staff. Every single person on the staff was helpful, genuinely polite, accommodating, and quick to do whatever they could to make my stay comfortable. How often does this happen? Over my three day stay, I worked and stayed in this hotel, venturing out only a few times for a meal (this was the destination of my business trip), so I talked with many staff members. Every single one was impressive, from the front desk staff to event staff, to the housekeeping team. They were quick to adjust their tasks and schedule to accommodate every one of my requests. There are a few things about this location that others have noted; it isn't the fanciest nor the most spacious hotel I've experienced. I didn't book my stay for a fancy, spacious hotel room. :) Their bistro's food is great, too. There are several balanced choices for meals (bowls, flatbread, charcuterie board) with Starbucks coffee, then beer, wine, and cocktails in the evening. You'll likely have incredible service at a lovely, modern hotel at a beautiful location on the river and within an ease walk of numerous restaurants, pubs, food trucks, even the farmers' market. In short, if you're staying in Corvallis, stay here. read more
