The Pop Shop for popsicles, pop, or beer and wine pops.

Great place and recently updated. New but with a retro feel. Extra services, POP Shop, game room in lobby. Has a rental room for group events. Stayed in an extended sized room that was great for an extended family.

Hotel with pop shop. Trailer outside with coffee and snacks. It was the old lobby they told me.

Everything went well with my 8 day stay at hotel Corvallis! It's in the center of a very walkable city. The farmers market was a couple blocks away and packed with great vendors and music. I love the nostalgic decore. Room was super clean and had everything I needed. Large bathroom with hot water, fluffy towels, specialty shampoo, lotions and conditioner. Comfy bed, closet, tv with cable and even live plant. Bests of all check in was easy and the staff were all kind and friendly. Amenities in lobby were fridge, microwave, games and more decore. The cleaning crew were kind when asking for mor coffee packets and working hard everyday.

Noah, kelsi, kelly were the people who helped me. As stated by another reviewer this place is trending up. It's in the heart of this beautiful river side village. Across from the angry beaver bar, a rock climbing place and Tommy's. I was here due to van issues while traveling. They held my bags as requested during the stay (before and after), while making it completely pain free. They also have galaga and pac man in the lobby. Even better its free play! Galaga score on first attempt in 15 years -86k and change. I'd stay again, especially if you are looking for a place to check out downtown.

I was black listed from Hotel Corvallis, for nothing. I was so nice to all of the team members, and left their room so clean.

I love the retro feel and that it is a small, local business.

The breakfast had many options to choose from including almond milk for the cereal. They also provide sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon and evening which is nice. Upon request you can have the ADA shower seat. Now for the not so great- the ADA room we had seemed pretty worn down from the mattress that had no support and creaked, to the broken outlet on the wall, broken ADA shower floor, toilet that flushed twice every time you flushed and used SO MUCH WATER, the bathroom sink counter that sounded like any pressure on it would cause it to fall off the wall, super outdated old fabric couch, carpet that desperately needs to be replaced, plus no recycling seen anywhere in the hotel. Also the bench for luggage was placed right where someone navigating thru the room would be hitting it so we moved the bench to reveal the broken outlet cover. The first night it sounded like a herd of elephants were staying above us for many hours at bedtime. Of the three nights the last two were the Friday and Saturday of OSU's family weekend so price gouging was happening. $151.38 for Thursday night but $359.19 for the next two nights was crazy for the issues with the room we had. It's unfortunate because the employees were nothing but kind and helpful, but I do not see us staying here again for the price we paid compared to the accommodations we had. From reviews it seems like possibly certain rooms have been renovated while others are in desperate need of being overhauled.

The air conditioner did not work; the desk chair was so worn that it would not be acceptable for a thrift store donation; furniture was scratched a chipped; and the shower head poking through a hole in the wall.

The beds were comfy. My issue was the heat- we keep our heat at 61F at home and ended up turning it off the second night because it already was pretty warm and actually opened the window along with having the heat off for nice fresh air. We didn't have service for our room after the first day but that was completely fine since we were reusing towels from showers and didn't need our bed made up. The breakfast had many offerings- different bread products, cereals with milk and almond milk, oatmeal, waffles, canned and fresh fruit, hot items including eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, cinnamon rolls, tortillas, cheese. My wish for the Best Western is to become more eco friendly- recycling in the rooms and public areas as well as composting in the breakfast area. We also REALLY appreciated the Tesla destination chargers for guests as we used them both days with an adapter for our Kia. One thing that did weird me out were the one way mirrors so we asked for blankets to cover them up. The bathroom mirror was a normal mirror. Also the guest above us the second night sounded like elephants around 6:30am, otherwise we didn't have any noise issues during our two night stay. We would stay here agin if we are in town.

We should have known how bad it was going to be when the lobby smelled like a cat litter box and the pool was closed by the health department. Next, room one. We opened the door and the room smelled like DEATH, like the apartment in SEVEN, minus the hanging airfreshner. My son immediately exited and went outside and threw up. Soooo yah we need another room?? Room two - directly under room one - smell was less pungent but still there. Ok let's open the window maybe and inspect the bed - up that's when I saw it. BUGS / Spiders IN THE BED. We immediately exited. The host at the desk was frustrated and also understanding, I was under the impression this happens often. We were able to get a refund and thankfully a nice clean comfortable room at Hotel Corvallis.

The beds are comfortable enough and the rooms have a TV and a mini fridge. The towels were clean. Some of the pillow cases were stained, but smelled washed. The "breakfast" is now just coffee and hot cocoa packets with a few red apples and mini cups of yogurt. The Pool and Hot Tub are PERMANENTLY out of service and have been for a few years now; since ~2021. They use the indoor pool/hot tub area to store furniture. It's a budget motel in Corvallis for ~$110 per night. The homeless/transient drug addicted population is in full force. By sunset they all commune near the "pet area" on the corner of the motel barricading themselves against the only door accessing the pet area. You have to get past a wall of smoke, piles of belongings on tarps, dogs and tweekers to access the designated "pet area". For those living in their cars parked in the motel spaces, they are constantly emptying their cars and re-arranging piles of belongings laid all over the parking lot. At night they like to "work on" their broken bicycles in front of the side door closest to the pet area and ride around in circles in the motel parking lot by the dumpsters and stop frequently to look in car windows. There are many leashed dogs that they claim are friendly, but became extremely aggressive with my dog when attempting to pass on the sidewalk towards the "pet area". It's always been a problem at this location, but it seems that the Super 8 now openly welcomes the river encampment residents to hang out at the motel. In the later evening hours I encountered several of the river people randomly roaming the hallways and checking random doors like they were on a mission or something. Not just sketchy anymore, it now feels unsafe. This area is obviously on camera. The real problem is that the guy who works evenings (has been for many years) is part of their community and actually takes his smoke breaks outside with a few of them by the pet area and this all seems business as usual. That makes sense why he just grumbled under his breath when I told him that people were blocking access to the designated "pet area". The encampments begin in the corner parking lot by the pet area continues down the back steps of the property and fully lines both sides of the sidewalk along the river (public space). There are piles of fecal matter, trash and tarps of belongings, and vomit lining the path from the motel side door all the way to the sidewalks leading to the river walkway. A few people in the groupings were fine and going about their business. In the later afternoon, I was halfway down the motel stairs walking my dog towards the river across the back parking lot and some nut case started waving his arms and screaming at me to "go around!". Go around what? Encampments were everywhere and I was on the motel steps at the time. A couple of people apologized for the guy screaming at me and tried to redirect his attention. This place has gone downhill and the staff is part of a bigger issue. It is now unsafe. I would not stay here again. Sad to see such a nice location taken over by mental illness and addiction.
