These guys always do a great job when we rent from them in Charlottesville, Virginia. always nice, professional and fast... appreciated when you're renting cars. during our most-recent visit we got a Hyundai Kona which was the best car I've ever rented bar none. I would give zero stars if possible. This Enterprise location abandoned its customers. My wife's flight to Charlottesville was delayed due to weather. Rather than accommodating her late arrival, they closed the counter and left her without a car at 1:00am. Their "solution" was for her to hopefully get a taxi to her hotel and then take a taxi back to the airport at 7:00am to pick up the car. They would not even agree to deliver the car to her hotel even though they promote this service as a reason to use the company. We are members of their rewards program and use them often, but never again. Just awful!!! read more

I recently reserved a minivan to spend the day with my 4 grand kids. Upon arriving at the Pantops location, I was told that the car had been rented out already and no other minivans were available. Because I was one hour, ten minutes late. The person in charge of rentals at that location told me, poker-faced, that it was "on their website" that they only hold cars for 30 minutes, and here I was a full hour late. I couldn't recall seeing such a notice, and having searched the site, still could not find the caveat emptor the rental manager referred to. I don't blame Enterprise for having their policy, given that you don't pay to reserve. But their failure to emblazon some cautionary about needing to be timely is terrible business management. Or, alternatively, having the courtesy to phone the renter prior to releasing the car. The gross uncaring attitude exhibited by the Pantops rental manager was salt in the wound. I had hoped that my experience was an anomaly, just a particular Rental Manager having a bad day, but when I called Enterprise customer service to complain ( they have no feedback mechanism for ill-served customers), there was no follow up whatsoever. I wish I could use negative stars. After receiving the message below, I found that there is no such url. Or maybe there is but I need to know what comes after the ellipsis. Came to Charlottesville airport to pick up rent a car. Rude counter personnel. We have no cars now you will have to wait in the lobby. Explained I had to get to work. I have no cars. Just after me a gentlemen walked up and got his enterprise rent a car. No cars my ass. Fuck you liars!!! read more

One of the worst customer service blunders I've seen. I gave them multiple opportunities to turn this experience around but you should be warned. Do not use this enterprise location. Balled tires, greasy windshield, blown speakers, and agents that avoid your calls. We reserved our car for a road trip to Asheville NC from Charlottesville. I picked up the car after about an hour of speaking with the desk agent about which insurance option to use(he recommended me to use the costco site where I had originally booked to add on insurance, no such thing). Finally get to the bill and its higher than the online quote due to the daily insurance, I knew that, but its even higher because they charge you tax on the insurance. Almost $30 in "tax" for adding insurance to the car. I complained but was told that is the airport's fault for charging such high fees. I get into the car. I looked for anything wrong on the outside, but with insurance, does it really matter? I pull out and get less than 500 feet out of the airport and the Service Engine light comes on. I turn around and go back to the counter to tell them I'm going on a long road trip and want to be sure the car is safe. They assure me that its fine and the tech forgot to reset. He then told me if it bothered me that I could look up how to reset it. Not my job and when I'm paying $380 for 3 days, I expect a turn key product. I get back into the car and head home to pack the car. My girlfriend notices the interior is dirty and asks if it was the only car left.(It was not, I had the choice between a Corolla and the Nissan Sentra. We plug in our Iphone cord and the sound coming from the front right speaker was atrocious. Someone had obviously been blasting deep base and ruptured the speaker. All the way on the other side of town now, I head over to the Pantops Enterprise to see if we can swap our before getting on the road, now 1.5 hours behind schedule. They were short and simply said it is a different system and they only had a truck available. We call the Airport location and explain that the car is a lemon. Their suggestion was that we go to another enterprise. "They're pretty much everywhere" is what he said. We were ready to start our 5.5 hour drive, but did not expect to have to add in a new detour. Also, there are plenty of Enterprises, but not that many that are open at 6:30pm on a weekday. Only airports. With that knowledge that we were dissatisfied, we recived no follow up, no prompt to help us find a enterprise along the way that he could give advance warning to that we were coming so that our delay wouldn't be as great. Every time I turned on the car I received a message that the front safety sensor wasn't working because of an obstruction. Paranoid that the car would be unsafe, I poke my head around the car a bit more. The inspection was less than 30 days away and none the tires would have passed. We made it safely and as I pulled into the lot I reached in the glovebox to grab my receipt to tell them of the issues, I found a bag of fast food trash from the previous renter. To put the cherry on the cake, when we returned to the counter and the attendant asked how it went, I told him the whole story. Instead of ensuring that the manager would contact me or making any effort to alleviate the situation, he told me to call Tim. First call no answer Second call- Tim's not here can I take a message I received a call from independent survey about my experience, I tell them. They ask when a representative can call back, I tell them Monday-Friday. I received a call from Tim and a voicemail asking me to tell him what happened. Third Call Saturday Evening- No Answer Fourth Call Monday Morning 9:45am- No Answer, repeat my effort Firth Call Monday Afternoon 3pm- No answer Sixth call Friday Morning. I rented a car for two weekends at the Charlottesville, VA airport recently. The service I received each time from Feda S at the counter was incredible...friendly, informed, professional, fast and helpful...this guy has it all! Any problem or question I had he had a solution or answer. The cars I rented were wonderful too. They had been well cared for and were a blast to drive. The Cville Enterprise location is my all time favorite. I fly in and out for work and am always treated with all star service no matter what the time of day or which employees are working. They are fast, friendly, and go out of their way provide top customer service. The cars are always VERY clean and have a full tank of gas which has not always been my experience with Enterprise. I arrived in Charlottseville and went to the Retal Car Counter that is shared with National. The only thing i could say is that the Enterprise sign could be bigger. hard to see. other than that, the person working the counter was professional, curteous and FAST! i was greeted and gone in less than 5 minutes. Check in when i was flying out 3 days ;ater was just as nice. read more

The Enterprise counter was with the National counter and not easily found. The woman at the counter was not familiar with the area and could not tell us where our destination was located even though it was only 30 minutes from the airport. We got directions from the Avis counter next door. The car was fine and everything went well. When we returned the car, there was no designated area for returns. When i got to the counter, i asked for someone to look at the car to see that there was no damage. I was told that they trusted me to tell them if there was any damage. I didn't feel comfortable with that one but let it pass. This was just not as professional an operation as i would expect from Enterprise. read more

The airport counter agent was very friendly and helpful. We ended up with an upgrade and enjoyed the Ford Edge tremendously. However we left a phone charger in the glove compartment. I called back to the airport counter and spoke with Andrew. He assured me he would go back and check for the item and also check with the cleaning crew and promised to call me back one way or the other - he never did. So much for customer service. read more
