While rebooking flights and hotels was a nightmare, Flight Ready was the one part of my trip that was completely stress-free. Their extension process was seamless, and the team was incredibly responsive as my pickup time shifted repeatedly. Plus, the daily rate for a climate-controlled garage is barely more than uncovered airport parking. Coming back to a warm, ice-free car after a long delay was the perfect end to my vacation. Five stars for their service and communication!

Breakfast was average hot and cold fare. Mattresses comfortable. Clean. They have smoking area in the rear. Don't go that way if you are a non-smoker. Sorry, didn't get names, but I recall they were both south Asian. Housekeeping was great as well, following our wishes to the letter. Rooms were quiet and CLEAN! This clean, complete and well-maintained hotel exceeded expectations for the area at any price, but especially at the AARP special rates we found. Amenities and kind gracious treatment from all staff are noteworthy. Not perfect, as the eggs seemed leftover for days and the coffee half strength at breakfast; we ate out half our days there despite the bargain of its inclusion. Queen beds are the norm, with a slightly higher rate for kings. Also sorry the extensive free gym/sauna/spa will close next year, though. Missed having new editions of The Gazette the last few days, as it stopped on Monday. Still nice to have a print newspaper in this day and age! PLEASE retire the brown, wrinkled fruit and empty stale coffee carafes in the front lobby. We've stayed before, and were grateful to see the standards hadn't slipped in the 7 years since!

She made all the necessary arrangements for tickets, hotels, boats, transfers, side trips, travel insurance, etc. She even dealt with my impractical inquiries. It looks like it would be a fun area to explore and it was easy to get to off the highway. So, that's a win for us. They have free parking in a lot across the street from the hotel entrance, which was also a plus. Our room was very nice - full kitchen and sitting area off the bedroom. Pillow selection was nice for us and the bed was comfortable. We also did not notice any outside noise. We had to take our breakfast to go; however, I would have enjoyed sitting there and sampling more of their breakfast choices. The fruit looked very fresh, as did everything they were serving. This was our first experience with this brand, but based on this stay, we will be seeking out more of these hotels.

The rooms are large, clean, and equipped with a full kitchen--including a full-size refrigerator, stovetop, and microwave. Parking is private but not fenced, and the location is great--within walking distance of plenty of shopping and dining options. Amenities include a pool, fitness room, and a free guest laundry area, which is a big plus. Even though we were in town for an unfortunate reason, our stay was wonderful. Definitely recommend

First, some disclosure. We stayed here on the last night of a 3 week, 5300 mile road trip through…read morethe states west of home. I wrote the core of this review on another site a few days later, and received an interesting reply from the owner by email. I have attached it at the end. My initial review (which is an opinion, of course): "This location is apparently a former Comfort Inn, but if so, it was expelled sometime in the late 90's. The first hint is when you check in in mid afternoon, and no one is there - just a phone to call for someone. Apparently this is a 1 man operation most of the time and he is cleaning rooms. The owner is very personable and accommodating, but the property is stuck in the dark ages. Let me count the problems: The beds are old, low, and uncomfortable. There is no refrigerator, microwave, flat screen tv, or a free breakfast of any kind. The tv service is Dish Network, and it has many channels, if you can figure out how to find them. The room was clean, but the towels are thin and scarce. For $80 a night, you should drive to Iowa City (about 25 mi.) and stay in a modern place." A few days later, I received this email reply: "Dear Mr. Pxxxxxxx...Greetings...just wanted to respond to your review to you rather than let the entire world read it....here are my thoughts: * We were NOT EXPELLED but elected to leave Comfort Inn in 2005 as it gave us more flexibility in our operation...Expelled is a derogatory term in my opinion and it is not fair for you as a mature individual to state that especially when it is NOT TRUE! * You paid a mere $ 70.95 plus tax with the discount....not much for hotels nowadays...especially when you talk of "Modern" hotels in your language....one would find it challenging to get a Clean, Quiet and Secure place with Flat Screen TV, Breakfast, Microwave & Refrigerator for the $ 70 plus tax that you paid...and surely so in the University town of Iowa City! You were aware about our property not offering these prior to making the reservation. I THANK YOU though for admitting that we were clean....I'm sure you found us QUIET, PRIVATE & SECURE too. * Does it really matter or relevant whether it is a 1, 2 or 10 man show....a property can have many employees and still be shabbily operated...2 Restaurants (Colony Village & Ox-Yoke Interstate) closed at this exit in the past 12 months due to poor business levels...I promise you that it does not mean that they were Poorly operated...it is just poor business levels and one has to work extremely hard as well as Multi-Task to make it, most people admire the hard work trait.....calling for service- I am there rightaway to serve you and you know it is not the Ritz Carlton!...countless hotels have a sign of this sort at the Front Desk....the number of people at a hotel at mid-afternoon is another point you state and it's relevancy is something I'm unable to relate to! * Well SIR...you have achieved what you intended to do and that is to hurt us and our livelihood by posting a Public Review for thousands to read rather than email me directly...I'm Sorry you did not give enough weight to the Warm, Friendly & Courteous Service I extended to you...I feel that component is HUGE in today's Poor Customer Service levels offered by businesses....making a guest feel WELCOME is very important; a lot more than Flat Screen TV's.... you did actually get a Clean, Quiet and Secure place with Starbucks Coffee, 100% Smokefree Environment, Free Wi-Fi, Indoor Heated Pool & Hydrotherapy Spa to spend the night in for the $70 plus tax! I really feel a Public Review was not warranted especially when we were not nasty with you and Welcomed you to our hotel which is also our home...you could have just emailed me that our hotel is NOT GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY in your opinion...I'm hoping I will achieve several positive reviews in the future as I have done in the past and that prospective guests can then decide for themselves. I wish you all the very best in this whizzing by life that we all live and I respect your seniority just feel offended and differently about your review as stated above. The "Owner" stated that he didn't know us and wanted to make sure that we had read his "contract"…read morebefore signing, and to make sure we knew if the room was not "clean" he would be assessing a cleaning fee. This made us feel like we were not allowed to sleep in the beds or take showers in the room we had booked. After seeing the room we understood why. He then charged us an extra $10 dollars for not booking directly through him. His rooms were dingy, filthy and smelled horrendous. There were stains from lazy housekeeping on the carpets and the sheets looked like they were never changed between guests. When we checked in and questioned the extra charges, he said "if budget is a problem you can go to Motel 6" in hindsight we should have. Obviously this Owner has never learned that in a hospitality environment you meet lots of people you don't know and everyone deserves polite service. All night we heard banging and walking up an down the hall ways, when my husband went to look the "owner" seemed to be lurking around the our hallway all night, a lot more than we felt comfortable with. We appeared to be the only guests in the hotel. What was he listening for? We have never been so insulted or made to feel like criminals for staying in a hotel in our lives. Avoid this place like the plague, or you might just catch it by staying here. Worst Fleabag hotel and service we have ever experienced. To top things off the owner trolls for "good reviews" from guests for all other travel sites. When he responds to below average ones or "ones that speak the truth" it is always the guests fault for his less than stellar reviews. This sounds like a large variety of thinking errors to believe that he can do no wrong and that his guests would actually expect a clean comfortable room served up with a smile after spending almost $100 per night. The only reason for the one star is that I can't give him a -5000 stars. If Expedia and Travelocity and any of these other travel sites knew what he was doing they would remove his "sticker for the door".
