I am surprised both counters wouldn't be open at 8 AM to help ensure people can make it to work meetings and events quickly. It would have took another 30-45 mins if the Enterprise booth hadn't opened up their counter around 8:30 and split the line in half. They should have a way to streamline this process and reduce the wait times. My biggest issue is they can give you a compact SUV like a Ford Escape for the price of mid-size SUV, which is $17 more per day. Apparently, rental companies have their own classification system, which makes things confusing. Online, the Escape is listed as a compact SUV, so it's misleading to pay for a midsize SUV expecting more space, only to end up with a compact vehicle anyway.

I call to make a payment, to which I usually do online. Sunshine thought it was appropriate to ask if everything's okay in my life that may be causing me to pay "late" my items were 12 days "late". Again, I usually pay every 2 weeks, so I was paying a portion of it early. She didn't like that I was paying a portion and suggested picking up my belongings. You're getting paid aren't you?!? And it's not even 30 days late. Not even 2 weeks late! No you're not getting MY things because I won't get my money back if you do take them. Only reason I went this route instead of buying outright is I was told the payments would help my credit, when in reality it doesn't even report to my credit at all. Waste of my fuckin time!

My journey led me to Ames, Des Moines, and Iowa City in-between. Costco Travel also gave me a decent price. Due to Consumer Reports ratings, I probably would not buy a VW car, although I still have fond memories of my old and sporty VW Scirocco. What I appreciated most about this car was comfort, power when I needed it, and the ease that my 97 year-old Dad could get in and out of the car. Gas mileage was decent and trunk storage was ample enough for my luggage and my Dad's walker. The Enterprise representative at the airport was courteous and efficient. No one was at their desk when I returned the car early Saturday morning, and the final bill was in my inbox within a couple hours of me dropping it off. I was also happy with the easy walk from the terminal to the car and straightforward return.

Customer service has always been friendly and professional, which I truly appreciate. My only ongoing concern is vehicle availability. I rent from this location at least once a month, typically for two-week rentals, and I always select all the premium options. However, I frequently do not receive the vehicle class I reserve and often end up with a smaller vehicle than requested. I've mentioned this several times, but it doesn't seem to have led to any change. If you're flexible about the type of vehicle you drive, I'd easily give this location 5 out of 5 stars based on the staff alone. But if, like me, vehicle size matters--especially when traveling with children and needing adequate space--you may want to consider a larger branch with more consistent inventory.

While I accept the payment as resolution of this complaint, I made it clear to owner of the local Budget Car Rental Agency the information he received from his employees in this case has been completely inaccurate. I also made it clear that my complaint was sent to Budget HQ in Oklahoma, including the case number I was given by the Budget 800 number agent I spoke to on the night of this event. Despite this complaint being faxed and sent via US mail to the Budget Corp Headquarters as I was instructed by the 800 number agent, his corporate HQ ignored my complaint and never informed him. His first and only information concerning this case came when I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau Serving Eastern Oklahoma, (BBB CASE#: 38049193). Just another reason I will never use Budget again, they can't be bothered to respond to complaints they receive directly, only when forced to by the Better Business Bureau. I have traveled and rented cars three time since this event from other rental car agencies.
