Becareful while renting from Brookfield IL location I've rented a car twice and given bad reviews with the first rental. 1st car had a foul smell, all seats were stained and filthy. I've complained and nothing was done. I've received a text message from Enterprise to fill out a survey I gave a bad rating upon terrible customer service and how Freddy and Carolina (site manager) lies. Carolina had told me that State Farm covers rental insurance and that I wouldn't be charged. I rented the car through state farm and was advised that State Farm doesn't cover rental insurance so I declined their insurance policy due to the fact that I have full coverage on my personal car so they had me sent them proof of car coverage which I did and I was still charged for their insurance. I called them spoke with Freddy whom said I had to speak with Carolina (site manager) every time I called she was never available. I went to drop off the rental spoke with Maria and was told that Maria couldn't remove or help me because she was just covering and didn't originally work there. To call and speak with Carolina in which she will be willing to help me out and remove the charge. I had to wait until 2 business days to speak with Carolina. I called on Monday the next business day and Carolina refused to help me out to remove charges, Carolina was extremely rude and hung up the phone on me. The 2nd time I rented a car from them and I figured to give them another chance. 2nd car was delayed I originally put the pick up time at 230pm got there at 2pm didn't get the rental until 330pm due to a hold on the vehicle so Carolina had to car to get a release on the vehicle. I so like to Carolina and told her I might bring the car back sooner then 2 days that I originally rented. She said that was fine if I bring it in 1 day advance she will just charge me for one day service. I also informed her that I won't be able to bring in the vehicle before they closed so as promised I brought the vehicle a day sooner and informed them and emailed proof of drop off. The next business day comes and I haven't heard anything back from them. So I called enterprise Freddy answered and right away asked me how would I rate them I refused to answer until I knew what I was being charged. So they still charged me the full 2 days and stated I picked up the car at 230pm when I left 300pm-4pm due to the hold on the rental. My point is don't believe anything they say verbally. They are scam artist and will rip you off. I'm still wondering why I haven't received another text for review for the 2nd rental and it's been weeks. So I've disputed charges through my credit card company and was advised if I proceed for chargeback that it will go to collections. What a shame to be a manager that's extremely rude and unprofessional. read more

Very disappointed in Enterprise rental car (the North Riverside Location). My wife and I have been renting consistently from them for the past year, pretty much every month whether it be an SUV or pickup. Our cars both needed work so we decided just to rent for a while for convenience. The guys working there are younger, arrogant, condescending more than once and just towed the car we have been renting for 4 months paying about $1,000 per month (I'd consider that to be a great customer). We were charged $319 on a Monday, $100 more than our agreed upon amount and then I see the car getting towed out of my window, right before we were heading to a meeting. I asked the tow driver what the deal was and he said non-payment, after they overcharged me the day before. Additionally, they overcharged us by several hundred dollars over the past few months. They charged us for an oversized pick-up and not a compact pick-up. I will never use Enterprise again. If you look at my reviews, most are positive. I only place negative reviews when people provide unbelievably bad service. read more

Do yourself a favor and rent from the next location. They lie about price adjustments, give you dirty vehicles, & vehicles not serviced to be taken from lot. My sister reserved a vehicle here today. AFTER we get there they tell her she needs a bill and her ID can't be different (she's on a limited income so she only updates the physical one when it is due and updates her address at the DMV when she moves). When we went to go get her license updated at THEIR insistence THE MANAGER cancelled my sisters reservation!!!!! How rude and unprofessional! We are taking our business elsewhere and we will NOT be using their company the next time one of our cars need repair work! read more

After being the victim of a hit-and-run accident, with my car at the body shop, I found myself at Enterprise Rent-A-Car for a car. Using the offenders insurance info (Police caught the guy :-) ) they allowed $23 bucks a day for a rental. Sadly they didn't have any cars available in that price range. Unfortunately I had to rent a car after a lady backed into our car and it needed to sit in the shop for a week. They met me right at the Collision shop to give me my car, which was super convenient. They gave my a hybrid Toyota Prius. The guy was really nice and went over the weird way to start the car. (Like - the Power botton...what?) After I left and it began raining, I realized that he didn't show me how to work the windshield wipers. Also, he didn't show me where to pull the gas tank level or which side it's on and various other things about the car. It's nerve wracking enough to drive a completely new car - I just wish he took more time going over the car with me. Also, my insurance company pays for my rental but he still needed to have my credit card on file. I was ok with that - but then he told me they charge a $100 "authorization" and when you bring it back they credit your card back. He couldn't explain why they did this, only saying it was policy. It seems pointless to me and just telling me it's policy is not sufficient. read more

Used this particular location a couple of times to rent a car for long road trips. All cars that I've driven from here were in stellar condition. I had no problems getting or returning the car. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the vehicles, insurance, etc. Like all rental places, there is some time waiting; bring a book! read more

Andrew the manager gave me a free upgrade and also buying option stress free, so next time I need a care I sure will consider enterprise. This is a great car rental place . Nothing but good experiences everytime I have rented and that is quite often . The customer service skills that you get there is beyond superb. Shout Out to TJ who always welcome you with a smile . TJ makes sure that you are a satirized customer when you walk out that door . I have witnessed him make other customers happy as well . This is my local car rental place which I use for both business and personal rentals. I had been very pleased with these guys up until my most recent experience when they tried to blame be for previous existing damage. There were these weird scuff/scratch marks on the front bumber which I pointed out and the lady who checked me out said she marked on the damage sheet- by circling the front bumper on the picture- so I thought I was good. Just to be safe, I snapped a picture of it before I left. When I went to return the car the guy says, what did you do to the front bumper of the car? I said I have no idea, it was there when I got the car. He told me it wasn't and I said it was marked on the damage sheet. He looks at it and says it isn't and that I did it. I pulled out my phone and BAM- right in your face dude. He sees the photo and time stamp and acts all flustered. This is really crappy customer service and business in general to be putting old existing damage on good loyal customers. I would have been screwed without that picture. read more

I would rate 5 stars but I did not have the same experience with renting and problem solving with the other employee at this location. Horrible spot, my daughters car is being repaired and insurance said they would let her rent a car and set everything up in this location. (she's 20 her birthday is in a week she will be 21) she gets there and the lady says there that there's no reservation and that you need to be 21 and she said to call and cancel the reservation like what I thought you said there wasn't one to begin with. Obviously that's fine and I understand that that's their policy and am not upset with them because of that. My daughter then goes to call me and says that and I try to give her the policy number and tell her to go back and explain to the lady what's happening. Rudely the lady says where the car at that just because the car is getting fixed that we shouldn't rent one. My daughter then explains that she needs the car to go to school and the lady rudely says that we shouldn't be renting cars just to go from school to home and home to school. Like what?! That was so unnecessary we're paying here for the service to rent the car I could take it wherever I want as long as I care about it. I understand the policy and am not rating 1 Star because of it. I am rating one star because of the service and how people are treated. read more
