CLOWN SHOW!!!! It's not a big airport and there aren't a lot of people....except for the Enterprise, Alamo, National line!! They're all combined. The Enterprise window was closed, so I had the opportunity to wait in line for 54 minutes inside and another 25 outside just to think about this review. Updated to 1 star after the drop off. I wanted to change my drop off location. Unfortunately, according to the Enterprise agents (outsourced to another country) the price can only be quoted by the location you picked the car up from (Knoxville Airport). When there's no one there, you'll never get an answer when you call. The central agency sent 3 messages, and I never got a call back. There are several other rental agencies at Knoxville Airport. I highly recommend going somewhere besides Enterprise (or National and Alamo by association).

Reserved a car and they only had trucks and vans. This is a constant issue with this location and they never want to address it.

We rented a car from the Avis counter inside Walmart in Leon Springs, Texas. I'll start with a positive note. The folks there were kind, patient, and helped clear up some early confusion on my end. No complaints with them. The trouble started the next morning when we set out for Tennessee in a heavy rainstorm. One of the windshield wipers was so worn out it smeared water across the glass like oil. Try driving 19 hours through rain with a blurry windshield. It wasn't just annoying, it felt unsafe. Once we arrived, we went to the Avis location at 4742 Centerline Dr. in Knoxville to get the wipers replaced. The guy behind the counter was polite but said he couldn't swap vehicles. Instead, he sent us next door to Pep Boys and told us Avis would approve it. Pep Boys had everything ready and were just waiting on Avis corporate to say yes. Then corporate denied it and told us to return the car. A complete waste of time for everyone involved. The employee at the Knoxville location quietly gave us a "direct line" to the airport desk and said they would swap the car there. We drove to the airport. The worker there immediately handed us keys to a new car. Except the key fob didn't unlock the car, and the car wouldn't start. The battery inside the fob was dead. So back inside we went. They gave us a third car. A white Chevy Trax that smelled like it had been used as a rolling ashtray. We pointed out the cigarette stench. The solution offered? Febreze. A couple of sprays. The smell was back before we hit the exit. So here we are, having driven halfway across the country in a car with bad wipers, and now finishing the trip back in a vehicle that reeks like stale smoke. Our clothes smell like it, too. I genuinely don't know whether to laugh or be furious. Is this what customers should expect from Avis? And where exactly do I send the dry cleaning bill?

We waited in line for a few minutes while another customer was being helped. We were called up, made small chat with the customer rep that assisted us, he was pretty nice and helpful. He gave us directions on how to find the car in the lot and I told us exactly what to do to return it. He was amazing, great customer service. Had no issues with the rental while we had it. We returned it today without any issues, it literally took 5 minutes to return and check it in. The staff located in the parking lot were very helpful and guided us to where to go to park it. We were very pleased with the car and service, and will most definitely use this company again in the future.

Overall I was happy with our latest Alamo rental. Pickup took place after their nominal operating…read morehours; it was after 12:30a, but the counter was staffed. We were a little concerned about some pre-existing damage to the body, but apparently we didn't need to be; the total at the end was exactly as expected. I have to say, the Challenger was fun to drive! So, plenty of good, but in the interest of balance: One of my pet peeves is made-up fees; two charges totaling almost $39 seem to apply. Also, we returned the car after-hours, and signs said to drop the keys off "in drop box by booth", but here's the rub - there's no Alamo booth! We dropped our keys off in the National drop-box and hoped for the best (it worked out okay).

I knew from my last visit that I was going to be taken care of when it came to getting my rental. Once again, I am very happy to be an Emerald member. I was greeted with a smile and when I told the representative that I was there in January, I got a bigger smile and a 'welcome back'. This time I was given a while Chrysler 300 - then my smile got big. The cars at this location are very well maintained and clean!! A big PLUS!! The pickup process is smooth and they try their best to make everyone RIDES away with a smile. The drop off process is a breeze, you pull up, park, get your receipt and get a 'have a safe trip'. I am very glad to visit here again and I hope to see you all soon!!

I have been renting at this location for over 6 years. They have been getting better and better…read moreover time. They just performed a major upgrade to their service. They seem to have more vehicles to choose from and as always the staff is top notch. I also rent from National all over the US. My only major complaint with National over all is the little things that keep happening with my rentals. Examples: no washer fluid (several times), fuel not full, charged for fuel when tank was returned full (several times), very long wait time for shuttle buses (Sacramento CA is the worst), expired tags on vehicles. For this location, I wish they just had the Executive Selection. Even if they don't, I should be able to upgrade from full size to SUV without being charged extra as an Executive member. I also like the reward program. I can rent any class of vehicle with my reward points.

**5 Stars - A Great Example of Customer-Centered Service**…read more I recently rented a Jeep Wrangler from Enterprise in Knoxville, and the experience reminded me why I continue to choose this company. I was running behind on my way to the airport and didn't have time to refill the gas tank--I'd used about a quarter of a tank and figured I'd take the hit rather than risk missing my flight. When I returned the car, I was greeted by a polite, college-aged representative who asked how everything went. I told him it had been great. He then kindly asked, "You didn't have a chance to refill the vehicle?" I explained I'd simply run out of time. Without hesitation, he replied, "Well, let me remove this charge for you. I'd hate to have your experience with us end on a negative." He took the initiative to waive the refueling fee (about \$27), and while the money was appreciated, what stood out even more was the attitude. I was genuinely impressed that Enterprise empowers their employees to make thoughtful, customer-friendly decisions like this. To that young man--thank you. And to Enterprise--bravo for running a company that leads with logic, care, and trust in your people. This small gesture went a long way in reaffirming my loyalty. I'll be back.

I had reserved a car, but hadn't paid for it, and I didn't have another credit card I could use. I had flown across the country and still needed to get to my aunt's memorial service, an hour away. The person at the counter calmly brainstormed solutions with me, but when nothing was working out, and tears were rising in my eyes, she ultimately offered to have someone drive me to another Enterprise office, just a mile away, at the airport, where I could use my DEBIT card to pay for the rental if I could show that I had a return flight. Then, the man who drove me there made pleasant conversation with me that helped change my mood. The man at the new office who helped me was also kind, helpful and quick, and I was FINALLY on my way. I have always had good experiences with Enterprise. This one was the top, though. I felt like everyone I met worked to help me get where I needed to be. Thank you to everyone!
