Tyler was great both when I picked up the car and when I dropped it off. The car itself was clean and ran great. The location is a little tight in one section of the garage, but that allows it to be right across from the terminal, not a tram ride away. The kiosk is sort of plunked down in an odd area but they make it all work. Did not get pressured for upsells, told any doom and gloom stories about using my own insurance. Did not get put into a significantly larger SUV than I ordered ( which has happened), which would have been most undesirable on some of the zero shoulder mountain roads. read more

AVOID THIS LOCATION... Enterprise has gone down the drain, nothing like they used to be. No attendant was there when I dropped the vehicle off at 8pm when it was due back for a single day rental. There was a lockbox however, so I parked it in a spot under the camera, took pictures, & dropped the keys off in the lockbox. I received a bill for an extra day! They charged the return following morning at 530am when someone showed up to check the cars... Extremely dishonest. I have never had any rental car company do this! Called customer service who told me they would have the branch manager reach out. They even replied to my Google review, but absolutely nothing happened! No one followed up and they still charged me! I only rent from Enterprise because I have only ever had great experiences. I'll go to the worst rated one and have a fantastic experience. Maybe I'm lucky, but I feel like with even half a degree of realistic expectations you're more likely than not to have a positive experience. My recent rental from this location was no different. The car was better than expected, clean, and gassed up. I had a little issue with roadside assistance, but the rental office made it right and I'll continue to be a loyal Enterprise customer. read more

I used to only rent from enterprise because of their professionalism and i felt like they actually cared. In the Nashville Airport Enterprise I had hit a deer in one of their vehicles and they were super to deal with, i have returned cars a little late and never had issues. Until Knoxville. We had a death in the family and i had to make a 24 hr flight for me and my kids when i got the Knoxville airport Enterprise even though they had cars they said they weren't taking walk ups. I had to take a taxi to the 3262 Alcoa location. They only had large transit vans. I had no choice so i took it at $240.00 a day. I returned it 26 hours later. They charged me for 2 days of a van i didn't need. $480.14 total. They knew we were going to a funeral they knew the airport wouldn't give us a car and they knew I had no choice but to pay. This is not how i have been treated in the past with other Enterprise locations, but Beware Knoxville Tn Enterprise has NO HEART!!!! read more

CLOWN SHOW!!!! It's not a big airport and there aren't a lot of people....except for the Enterprise, Alamo, National line!! They're all combined. The Enterprise window was closed, so I had the opportunity to wait in line for 54 minutes inside and another 25 outside just to think about this review. Updated to 1 star after the drop off. I wanted to change my drop off location. Unfortunately, according to the Enterprise agents (outsourced to another country) the price can only be quoted by the location you picked the car up from (Knoxville Airport). When there's no one there, you'll never get an answer when you call. The central agency sent 3 messages, and I never got a call back. There are several other rental agencies at Knoxville Airport. I highly recommend going somewhere besides Enterprise (or National and Alamo by association). read more

I have used Enterprise in many locations and have always done a quick check in at home therefore just being able to show the paperwork at Enterprise and drive away. Unfortunately we had to wait 1/2 hour at kiosk and check in again. Staff was friendly and helpful though and we got an upgrade due to not having availability for original car requested. read more

I rented a car from here on April 7. My flight was diverted to Knoxville so my rental was last minute. I paid for a full-size car. I got a VW Passat. However, once I got out of the city, I discovered that the cruise control was broken. I drove it to my destination in Georgia and called Enterprise immediately. I was told to take the car to a local office. They only had a compact car, so I paid for a full-size and got a compact for a week. I am owed a small refund, but I did not pursue it. That is not the worst part. I am now getting harassed that I must pay for the cruise control that was broken when I picked up the car. Enterprise has not given me a shred of evidence to demonstrate how this is on me or how a driver can break cruise control, not to mention the car only has 10k miles, so it's surely under warranty. It seems that since I am the one that reported it, I am responsible, according to this branch. I told them to stop contacting me unless they can explain why I must pay for this, but they keep sending me vague threats by mail without any evidence or explanation. I have rented from Enterprise about 100 times. The two worst experiences were at this airport. Choose another company here. Other Enterprises seem fine. read more

Make sure you check your receipt and take a picture of you leaving the keys! I rented a car from Saturday 8am to Sunday 6am. I dropped the keys in the drop off box because they were not open yet. I was charged double because whoever processed the keys didn't do so until 530pm. So because they took all day to process the keys I was charged $300. Thankfully the employee I got at the corporate phone number was helpful and got the charge taken off. The only reason I am giving a two is because she was very helpful. This review is specifically for Chad at the Enterprise counter. We had two flats within 10 minutes of each other on I-40 and ended up needing a rental. He exemplified customer service, going above and beyond to help us at the risk of his job or at least a serious write-up for the time he took to help us (rentals paid for by insurance are not handled at airport locations so he didn't have to do it). In this day and age when most people are more interested in passing the responsibility to someone else or are just lazy and want to do the least, it was an encouragement and refresher to be on the receiving end of such patience and kindness. We were scheduled to rent a car ( and prepaid for it) from Hertz, but after 7 hours of travel delays today due to weather, by the time our flight landed in Knoxville, Hertz gave our car away. I approached the Enterprise counter, and unfortunately, they did not have any cars available ( no one in town did), but what they DID have is a superstar employee, Amanda. She saw that my family and I were clearly upset and trying desperately to find alternate arrangements, and she took the time to print a list of every car rental company at our final destination. After a 13 hour travel day full of less than superior customer service, Amanda was a bright light. Her kindness and desire to go above and beyond was much appreciated. Thanks to her, we've found a car for the rest of the week and can start our trip with the knowledge that kind people that simply want to help are still out there, and Amanda at Enterprise in the Knoxville airport is one of them. read more

Standing in line now for more than 20 minutes while two agents s help one customer. This is after coming to this location twice in the last six months to find it closed altogether. No one at the Emerald Club counter outside. Last time the delays and long lines led to me switching provides at the counter. This time, no such luck. read more

The lady at the counter in the airport (next to the baggage) was very sweet. The second representative was very nice too. We were pleased with the turnaround time of obtaining the vehicle. My only complaint was that we told both representatives that we had two drivers, but the second driver's information was never entered into the system/agreement. When I reviewed the agreement (that was sent via email), I noticed that the second driver was not included (as was requested twice). This caused an inconvenience for us. We called Enterprise, but they said that we had to go to one of their locations and present a driver's license in person in order to get the additional person added to the contract. Seems like in this day and age we could present the driver's license via "FaceTime" or "Skype" instead of having to drive all of the way to one of their locations to present a driver's license in person. I have used Enterprise for many years, and I plan to continue doing so. This was the first time that I had a difficulty. read more

I rented a 2020 sorento from this location and let me just say the Experience was horrible ! Not only was I double charged but I when I tried to speak with a clerk to get assistance she hung up on my face after screaming at me it's impossible to change the card twice when I have in my hand two receipts that show two separate charges. I will never rent from this location again ! Your company has a horrible staff at the Alcoa Airport ! And still my issue has not resolved I would it suggest using this location. read more

It's so easy to book your rental car here, either call or book online, but just a heads up the rates are better on the Internet. I was vehicle specific (Chevy Tahoe) and Enterprise was the one I went with after calling 4 other places (Thrifty, National, Hertz & Alamo). They were friendly and very accommodating, and let me know if they had a Tahoe on their lot which every other place couldn't tell me a yes or no to on that simple question. I dealt with an employee by the name of Hongdin, holy cow was she amazing. This girl knew her Enterprise, and her competitors. Out of all the rental places I have used before, I really cannot say enough nice things about her. As long as Hongdin is an employee of Enterprise, just know you can count me in there for my rental needs. She made my life easier as I had to re-rent the vehicle I was in twice. Friendly staff, easy to book and Enterprise app in general is nice to work with. I also received a free upgrade. The only concern I have is that while driving I found out the tires on my rental were pumped to 42-43 psi (warm) vs 32-33 on the spec. Enterprise kept me from being stranded at the Knoxville airport by Alamo! Arrived at Knoxville airport from Florida, with my Alamo reservation in hand. Handed the girl at the counter my reservation confirmation, photo drivers license, car insurance card, and Chase Visa card. Because my card had the chip pulled out (to prevent thieves who scan your purse to retrieve credit card info from chip), they refused to rent me a car. REFUSED! Their reasoning, "We've had lots of credit card fraud." YET - they had my PHOTO ID, insurance card, and reservation paperwork. ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY, but I guess that's not their "policy." I was STRANDED at the Knoxville airport, and said, "I have to have a car!" The counter girl, and the pitiful excuse for a manager both said, "We can call you a taxi -- that's all we can do for you." So I walked over to the Enterprise desk. They rented me a car. Oh, and when I saw the original Alamo reservation charge on my credit card bill and called Hotwire to correct it, they called Alamo, who claimed I never showed up!!! Glad I saved the copy of my Enterprise rental agreement, which was $10 more than the original Alamo reservation through Hotwire, so quite obviously I DID "show up." Thus the bottom line is this --- Alamo will happily leave you stranded, then LIE about it. But Enterprise will come to your rescue. read more

I was given a 2018 Chevy Camero that was great to drive. Pricing good since I went through Costco. My primary concern was that I had some questions about the use of flex fuel and the location of the emergency brake. I called the number they gave me on my receipt, called several times on different days and times, and no one picked up. I emailed and it took them 3 days to get a response. Not good business sense if you ask me. I had friends answer my questions instead. read more

It was very easy to reserve the car online and the price was very reasonable for 4 days. The car was the right size, very comfortable to drive and had a very smooth ride. It was a new car with approximately 2,000 miles on it. The employees were professional, friendly and efficient and took care of checking in quickly. Of course they did their jobs and asked all the necessary questions and had me sign the necessary paperwork, but no badgering or guilt trips over fuel and insurance decisions. My mom rented from here once--key word is once. The car was okay, and the service was alright. However, seeing how employees are treated and talked to discouraged us from ever wanting to do business with this particular location again. This location seems to single out its employees of color and noticeably treats them with less respect than other employees. I'm sure if they treat employees of color poorly, their customers of color probably revive poor service too. Some of the employees are very helpful, but it seems the further up the chain of command you go, the less respectful people are. The Kingston Pike location is very great all-around! Where they steppped up was when I inadvertenly left a sweater in the back seat. I realized it shortly before I boarded my flight. I regularly rent cars from Enterprise at Knoxville, TN airport (TYS) the staff is so pleasant, that I actually look forward to meeting the staff, when I rent their cars! As a professional pilot, I utilize rental car services often, but Enterprise is a different kind of rental car company. Since they are a family owned company, I believe they try harder to win their customer loyalty. I cannot say the same about other well known corporate owned rental car agencies. Waited 15 min to speak to front desk (she was on phone and only one there) I stated that I was reserved a all wheel drive vehicle The lady there was no such thing I showed my confirmation for all wheel drive she stated it didn't mater if they had one I could have it but if not you will take what we have. I went to the pick up station they did have one. During walk around I pointed out some scratches and defects he refused to make them down gave the rental agreement and told me the vehicle was in front row somewhere. I returned vehicle with just as much lack luster performance. I will be looking to get a different car rental agency. I don't know if Enterprise really hires people with a college degree or not? I rented a midsize vehicle on Friday 6/17/16 6 pm. A tall black man who handles the keys in the parking ramp walked me to my car and told me this was my midsize vehicle, a small red import. I pointed out this is a compact; says so on the sticker and keys. Being a sales agent he attempted to upgrade me to a bigger size vehicle, stating "he cares about his customer and wants to help them out." I tried the common sense thing on him and told the guy, " Wouldn't it make sense to upgrade me to the next vehicle size instead of lowering it" Told me he can't do that and would charge me only 10.00 per day for the next vehicle....2 Camry 1 Volk. Passat and a Dodge Charger. I didn't get anywhere with this idiot, since common sense was a Super Power he clearly did not have. FYI I use to work for a car rental agency. I always did the right thing and upgraded my customer to a bigger car if nothing is available in the class reserved. To make things worst, I called numerous time to customer service and the desk at the airport and never received my rental agreement in paper or emailed..until my rental ended. Glad I did not get pulled over or there might have been problems for me for sure. Very bad experience at this location. read more
