I didn't know about the tint law in NYS and as I didn't have a car at that point I said not to worry about it. Today when I went to get it inspected I was told it would all have to be removed as it is not compliant in NYS. Even the rear tint which the sales manager said they wouldn't do when I asked them to since it would take off the rear defroster has to come off. This dealership is not the most ethical I've dealt with. I don't know how you can sell a car that isn't NYS compliant without telling the customer. Response to Sammy's response: 17,000 parts are not included in every inspection. SOMEHOW the inspection YOU did on my car passed a car that SHOULDN'T have passed inspection. THAT IS SUSPICIOUS! WHETHER YOU ARE WILLING TO FIX IT OR NOT!

I went out there first thing this morning and checked in. A few minutes later their shuttle driver brought me home. The gentleman's name was Domonic. I found Domonic to be just like every other VanBortel employee. Very polite and professional. As always I must say I'm pleased with all divisions of VanBortel. Sales, Service, Customer Care. Bad enough that this wasn't truly a "Quicklane" but also that the service team wasn't aware that they weren't taking more customers for the day by 9:30 am.

Both of our…read morecars are garaged and barely driven yet somehow both cars that were inspected the same day had torn windshield wipers in the exact same spot to the tune of over $90.00 for each car that had to be replaced or they wouldn't pass inspection. Other than that suspicious expense I've never had issues like this with them. I was going to bring my own wipers in for the 2nd car but it was too much of a hassle so I let them change them. After this review I probably won't be able to go back again anyway.
