We leased a new Buick Envision from here with Dennis, who was just wonderful. However, it all fell apart when we needed to have the car repaired. 9000 +/- miles in, the sunroof would not operate sporadically. Service could not get it to fail so they sent me packing, I sat in the lot and got it to fail. So, I sat there for an hour while they diagnosed it as a bad motor, Service told me part is a long lead time. A month goes by and nothing from service desk so i called the parts counter and they said the wrong part was ordered. OK GET THE PART and call me. Part came and of course no loaners so my wife sat there another 2-3 hrs while they tried to fix it. NOPE now it needs another part (I suspect it was broken during the attempted repair) Sent her packing again. Greasy fingerprints all over the head liner and all. Finally got the call to bring in to repair and a loaner for us. The car was finally repaired after a month of back and forth 3 trips of 60 miles each, charged us the tolls on loaner, gas for loaner. meanwhile I put 180 miles against my lease, time off of work and got NOTHING in return. We recently had our 2017 Buick Encore serviced and found out we needed a whole muffler system converter and all...$4200 later and when I asked for our converter so that I could at least scrap it for a little money back at a salvage yard, we were told they would have to charge us $1000 in order to get our converter back, a piece of original equipment that we purchased when we bought this car new from Bob Johnson...Can you beleive that, charge us $1000 dollars for a part we owned?...Well after purchasing three new cars from bob Johnson in the past we have decided to not go back in the spring as planned to purchase another Buick Encore...So keep our converter and we'll take our business elsewhere. read more

Our leased truck was recalled due to a nationwide issue. We dropped it off at the beginning of July and they had it until September 6. If we wanted an update about our vehicle we had to call them. The part was back ordered so they gave us a small SUV that in no way was a comparable vehicle, and never tried to give us a larger vehicle even when we asked. My husband's work and daily life was affected because the loaner was unable to do any of the work he needed it to do. It wasn't until we contacted GM requesting reimbursement for our huge monthly payments that suddenly our part was shipped. When he picked it up today he had requested it be washed prior to return. They handed him a bill for $21!!! This is a customer service courtesy. You shouldn't have to pay to have your vehicle washed at a dealership. Bob Johnson gmc in Henrietta is the worst place for service. Went to get an oil change which I usually go to Greece for but decided to go closer to home. Went in and got the oil change, came out to the truck and went maybe 1000' down the street and the brake pad sensor display came on. Called them and returned with 5 mins. They said that they didn't do anything cause they only did an oil change and not a tire rotation. I told them it was not on before I came in and now it is. I took it back the following day to get it looked at and have a recall done. They called and said the brake pads are low to 3-4mill. The truck only has 32000 miles. I told them not to do it for $1000. So I took it some where else and they called me and said they don't neee to be changed they are more the. Half there. But I can't get the brake pad sensor to function anymore since it went to bob johnson. What a scam of a service dept. Never will use them again read more

I saw sign of low tire pressure and stopped at gas station adding they would have air pressure pump but it was auto service place they agreed to only pressurized the tire but would not repair the tire due to busy schedule so I took s chance and drove forward and found Patrick GMC Buick dealership. By now time was about 4:30 and they close at 5 pm . I ran in to see someone would help me. I met Ed who was at counter and told me that all mechanics are getting ready to wind up the work but let me check with my manager. He convince the manager and then quick ran to the shop area and asked some one to assist me with a leaky tire. In short They got my tire checked and they found it unrepairable so they put my spare on it , by 5:20 car was ready for me to drive with a spare on. Ed was really instrumental in getting me on my way with NO charge saying they did not work on it. Amazing this is real America where people like Ed and their management take care of needy person/ customer. I was passing thru on town at least four hours away from my home! Son bought a used truck, all seemed to go aright, until I looked at the paperwork and saw a charge for wheel locks, we never ordered or asked for wheel locks, and there are none on the truck, but we were charged $99 plus tax for them. When I called, I was told when they sold us the warranty, and he subtracted $100 from the price and assumed we would want wheel locks and that he does this for everyone. He said I would have to get hold of our salesman and have him call the dealership in Greece and make arraignments to have wheel locks put on. After 5 days of waiting and not hearing anything I texted the salesman back. He apologized for the miscommunication, yet nothing else has been done. NOW I no longer want the wheellocks and I want to be reimbursed for them as well as the warranty, which I believe is useless. BUT I can't get anyone to call me back. I told them I screen all calls and to talk to the machine. NOTHING, maybe the attorney general will help???? read more

Picked up car and within 5 minutes after leaving the dealership car was overheating again. Called service dept and the guy who answered the phone was extremely rude. The last time I was in I had a $4,000 bill to replace my transmission. Ouch. What made it worse was the service rep who made me wait another hour to get my bill settled. I appreciated my $200 refund though. This time was not as good. Since the transmission repair my horn goes on, stays on for a few minutes, and goes off. The chime goes off occasionally when I'm driving, too, and there is a light on behind my right turn signal on the main odometer/speed panel. Brought her in for an oil change to my trusted mechanic at Valvoline Webster only to find out that windshield wiper fluid had leaked into the circuit box and then into the horn itself, causing a short. Went back to PATRICK to get this fixed. I was shown pictures of my horn and alarm horn with no residue and told the problem was fixed. Paid to have it diagnosed too. Drove out only to find it on again. Called and brought it back again to have it looked at and was told it was due to the remote start I had installed and to get it turned off then bring car back in if I was still having issues. I also had to have 3 other body repair things done. I don't know why they didn't open up the horn to take a look inside. At least that's the impression I got. Why I should have to go more than once for this horn issue is ridiculous. If you like having to go back again come here. Otherwise go somewhere else. I don't plan on going back except to get it fixed then sell it. read more

Took my truck in for warranty repair. The warranty paid off and it covered the needed work on rotors and calipers. It was nice that my warranty or Patrick offered a rental while truck was in the shop. -Jeff P. have been really understanding, patient and tries hard to resolve my issues. 5***** for him. The reason for the 2 stars; my car squeals while I'm driving and my Emergency Brake Light don't come on when depressed. And my wheel lock key is missing, so now I have to go back and see if they have not toss or lost it because I can't find it anywhere. Hopefully I can get my truck running without more issues and improve my rating. Update: -2/1/16: Jeff P. called me and said he found a key for a wheel lock and to come in to see if it is mine. Turns out it is. So I don't know how many wheel lock keys out there that are the same, but I am glad that Jeff P. went above and beyond his duties to solve my issues and found my wheel lock key. Again 5 stars***** for him. I honestly can't see the same for others. Time will tell. His dedication to fulfill a customers satisfaction brings my rating for this place from a 1 to 2 stars. Keep trying. Updated: Replaced the brake pads for less myself and no more squeaking. And leveled off the steering fluid which was well below the minimum level. ************************************************* I'm giving the service guy Jeff P the credit he is due for his effort to solve my problems. Other than that, the quality of service from the person working on my car is nothing but amateur grade. Problems always seem to surface as soon as I picked up my vehicle. Upon leaving the lot, you assumed that having a dealer working on your vehicle, that you would get the best service on your vehicle and not to pop open your hood to double check the work of the tech/mechanic. It seems that, a minimal effort and time gets put into the service. I don't know if this lack of professional work effort is being practice because my problems are covered by the warranty I purchased. But that is the purpose of the warranty, so that I don't have to spend money when I don't need do. To put in a perspective, couple days ago, seeing the quality of work and the lack of thoroughness I've received from this particular dealer tech, I popped open my hood to check for fluid level. I found several fluid under the minimum level. Steering fluid and the coolant reservoir was below the minimum line. Also, when I first got the vehicle, I was given this check list of the supposed work/inspection point performed and have checked off on the list. I was like, that is nice to have all that check. However, when I went to replace the air filter, the screws securing the mount of the air filer cover was covers with rust and soot. It was domed with soot and rust, I had to use a wire brush to clean the screw head before I can find what type of screw head it was. The air filter itself was covered with years of dirt. So it appears that this dealer sells used car with minimal work done, enough that it meets the eye of the buyer and drives normal. Probably wouldn't pass inspection if other shop would to inspect it. So, I don't know if this is the dealer's practice of doing business, or if it should be focus on the tech/mechanic responsible for it the shitty, half ass job, but this particular experience with a dealer paints Patrick Buick GMC in a shady light. I don't know everyone in the whole city, but I am pretty much involve in the community and multiple social media groups. I honestly can say that I have not recommend anyone to go there or said anything good about the quality of service on the vehicle. The service people at the desk have done a great job, getting me in and trying to solve my vehicle problems. I can't say the same for the work quality of the people working the vehicle. read more

Bob Johnson.... Not sure how to put this, but I truly wish that they haven't purchased half of the decent dealerships in the Rochester area. Every since they have, it's been poor organization and service. I understand what the Pandemic has done to most of the dealership but let's make it manageable for the people. I have my vehicle in for repair after a deer accident and they told me parts will be 2 months until they are in. "since it was still drivable". Two and a half months later they called me to bring in my vehicle. Currently it's been a month since I've dropped my vehicle off and it's still not repaired. Why would I ever bring in a running functional vehicle if parts are still back ordered. Communication is horrible! Still paying for a rental car "out of pocket" since they will not help, and are not actively trying to help me in any form other then to call corporate. I would not buy or take my car here again. I bought a certified pre-owned Chevy Cruz here when it was still Patrick. In March, I brought my car here for electrical issues. They said nothing was wrong with it. I brought it back a couple of months later for electrical issues and coolant leakage, and they found the solution to the electrical issues, but said there wasn't anything wrong with the coolant. I brought my car somewhere else, and they found a leak in the line that I paid to replace. Then my car started leaking coolant--again. I brought it back to Bob Johnson Buick GMC South. They fixed something minor. I brought it back again a couple weeks later with an empty coolant reservoir tank, and they found an issue that I paid to have fixed. Then it started leaking again. I brought it again, and they found a more expensive issue (head gaskets) that I paid to have fixed. I was assured it would run like a bear after the repair. Two weeks later I brought it back again for the same thing. They fixed a new issue that they comped. Once again I was assured that my issue was fixed. I brought it back again for the same issue again where they found an issue that was under warranty. Then they found another issue relating to my coolant issue (a crack in the engine block), and this repair is even more expensive than the last several ones I paid for (the ones that I was assured would fix my problem). They were willing to cover a small portion of it, but my increasingly expensive repairs are bordering on how much I paid for the vehicle a couple of years ago. My car has been in their shop more in the last eight months than it has been in my driveway. I have lost all trust in their ability to actually fix the issue, and I am still struggling with how a car with 65,000 miles on it can have an engine that needs to be completely replaced. I've owned foreign cars that ran beautifully with over 100,000 miles on them. I'm incredibly disappointed with how much I have already paid to fix this issue, and I'm wondering if Bob Johnson Buick GMC South correctly identified the issue in the first place if I would have had to fix everything that needed to be fixed. I asked for a refund on what I've put into the car, and I was told they would cover part of the repair. However, I'm out of what has already been put into the car. I will never purchase another Chevy, and I will let anyone I know who is looking to buy a car that Chevy's are subpar vehicles. read more

Potential car buyers........please be very cautious if thinking about buying a car from Patrick. I don't normally take to social media to share my experiences (good or bad), but I would hate for anyone to experience what I have with Patrick. I purchased a brand new 2020 Yukon XL on Nov 1st. After less than 3 weeks, I noticed a jerking/slipping when accelerating. Thinking that the truck is brand new.....something is not right. Took it Patrick service. They checked it out and said no problem. Everything was perfectly normal. After 10 days, I still notice the slipping. This time I take it to Bob Johnson GMC. They find it is actually misfiring and there's an issue with back right tire out of balance. It took two replacement tires to correct that. As for the misfiring, it's still being worked on. As I write this review, I have been without my truck for 17 days!!! Through this unbelievable ordeal.........I have called, emailed Patrick. Do you think the Patrick Salesman or Sales Manager would have shown the decency to call me????? Not once. Patrick likes to sell, but service and customer satisfaction are very, very low on their list of priorities. Please buy from them at your own risk. read more

I bought a used Kia Sorento (2011) 95 thousand miles in Sept. 2016. The first week the car stalled! I had to have it towed back to Patrick. I voiced my opinion of the quality of their vehicles if you have to service the car within the first week. I asked if I could choose another car because I just felt like it was going to be long ride with this one. Of course they told me "NO" because I already signed a contract for this piece of shit! I purchased their so called extended warranty so I was covered for the services needed THIS time. When I asked what the problem was I was told " it's fixed for now"? Huh, Okayyy so the issue was a secret. Now, I explained that I went to Massachusetts frequently because I am from Boston. I was assured the car was all set. It ALWAYS made the same grinding squeaking sound as it did when I had it towed from that day on. I hoped it would not stall again and tried to make the best of it. Well, within 8 months the noise was getting louder. In March 2017 the car stopped while I was on the highway going to work. I worked in Greece at the time and having to pull over in the middle of a highway in Rochester was no fun and very scary. Thank goodness for AAA. When my rescue arrived he told me to have the gears checked and could not diagnose the issue. It was left at Patrick and I had a follow up phone call the next morning from Andrew who works in the Services dept. He told me it was the Alternator and battery. I asked him if the warranty would cover the alternator and he said it would and I would only have to pay for the new battery. I agreed and it was fixed. Andrew and Dennis (the sales dept.) are the ONLY professional people at this establishment in my opinion. As soon as I left Patrick I Noticed the car still made noises and now a added dose of pleasure, the battery light goes on and off every two minutes! WTF. I called to ask why the battery light is all of a sudden flashing and was told to bring it in and they will have a look. NO thanks. I went to Boston within a month and took it to my old mechanic for a second opinion. He told me the battery light is blinking because when they replaced it they did not tighten a sensor and it was a simple fix. Oh, I almost forgot, I also told Patrick that the radio goes on and off ALL day. I was told "unless it happens when it is here we can't do anything about it. I said "why not replace it the warranty should cover it. No response. The last straw was two days ago. I had it serviced because the noise was unbearable when I turned my steering wheel and I could not take it anymore. I asked for the manager of the services dept. To voice my concerns and the lack there of with his Services Dept. except ANDREW! I talked to the services manager who could care less and gave me the your bothering me attitude! He went in my history of my piece of shit and was able to tell me the secret issue that started this repair crap was an axle wheel issue. He also made it very clear that the warranty has exceeded the miles and I would be paying out of pocket for any services needed. $375.00 thanks.This is the THIRD car my family has brought from this dealership and the lack of concern for the safety and satisfaction of the customeris appalling!!! Except ANDREW, who worked with me to make sure the cost to repair the left axle this time was within my budget. his attentiveness to my needs puts him above and beyond the SERVICES manager who could have cared less. The service department is great to work with, usually getting you in within 2 weeks. The reason for the low amount of stars still is for the dealership as a whole. Short story, I have had many issues with my brand new car that I purchased. I have taken it into the shop over 6 times in the first 19 months I owed the car. This is ridiculous and I informed Patrick along with GM that I was not happy especially since Patrick's service hours are all Mon- Fri during working hours. I had to go on my lunch break or take off work to bring my car in all these times. But after formally writing to GM and Patrick, they both pointed the figure at each other. GM: "The dealership has to make it right." Patrick representative: "There is nothing we can do talk to GM". Shouldn't the dealership talk to GM on my behalf? I had just bought a new 2017 GMC Acadia Denali from you. Now 1 year later, the pointing of the finger is still going on. Since the car feels unsafe to me, I am out $3000 because I have gone to a non-GM dealership to purchase a different car. I reached out to Patrick's sales team numerous times and the last time on 3/28/19, I was shown a shrug of the shoulder. Patrick could have helped meeting me half way with giving me a comparable car and they did not (hey they are still making a sale). I would NEVER recommend Patrick GMC to any person looking for a car because on the chance that you have multiple things go wrong, they are not willing to back you up to GM and make you feel safe in your own car. I took my car in at least 5 times in the last year and Patrick wouldn't fix any issues including car stalling while driving because it was an intermittent problem. I supplied video recordings of the problems and they told me that the mechanic can't fix it if they replicate the problem. After a year of frustration and non service I took the car to another dealer. They watched the video and knew what the problems were and actually fixed my car. On a side note, I recently attempted to purchase a new car at Patrick with little no room for negotiations claiming they were already at invoice pricing and would be losing money. I once again went to another dealer and bought the identical car for $5,000 less with the exact same vehicle options!! read more

I got the vehicle I wanted at a competitive price, but I was very unhappy with the value of my trade. Another dealership for a different brand offered $800 more. This matters because I am not a payment buyer and therefore that number is not my bottom line. The trade-in value for future purchases will have to be more competitive for me to consider purchasing again at Patrick. Although I agreed to these terms, it still bothers me, and I will have to consider this for my wife's purchase which is coming soon. Besides this, the purchase process was smooth and enjoyable. I appreciated the friendly service, clean facility, and seamless process from test drive to delivery. No unnecessary red tape here. I am enjoying the vehicle, and I think I made a good choice. Continued issues with vehicle. Due to lack of confidence in their abilities to fix, I wouldn't take the vehicle there, or the Mazda dealer that is close by (especially the Mazda dealership). Between this shop and the Mazda dealership in Henrietta, it took them 7 tries to fix the same problem. It seemed like they knew what the issue may have been but kept swamping irrelevant parts just to save a buck. It was very inconvenient and missed out on either sleep or work trying to drop this car off 7 times. Friendly people at desk with limited tools. They offer rental when your car is being repaired which was good (if you purchased vehicle from them anyways). After they finally got the vehicle repaired, either the Mazda dealership, or Buick, must have kept temporarily shutting the check engine light off (temporary code), but never addressed that, which was a separate issue. I feel that I bought this car with issues and one of the issues, I believe they legitimately did not know about, but the other they may have (can't hide a check engine light forever!). The check engine light was on soon after I purchased the vehicle and I recently had a BETTER shop fix the issue. The check engine like is now back on again in the same emissions system. I have had this car for about a year and really regret buying it. Bad apple with crappy service. Lose, lose. Patrick, please stop sending me reminders about my inspection when you know you can't fix it! read more
