I tried contacting ENT Surgical Associates to schedule an appointment yesterday. 4 separate times beginning at 9am. I held for 5 min, then 10 min, then 12 minutes, no one ever picked up. I feel for the doctors here, if patients can't make an appointment you'll eventually have no patients. I phoned my doctor and asked for another authorization with a different doctor. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any 'doctors office'. I was seen by David K. Yun for severe ear pain I was experiencing. This individual who I am reluctant to call a doctor barely examined me. I expressed to him that I had been having severe ear pain after having a cervical surgery a few months prior, he took a very Quick Look inside my ear and quickly told me that nothing was wrong with me and that sometimes we just have to 'live with pain'. I am from the LGBTQ+ community, and I'm not sure if this person is homophobic, but I imagine that's maybe the case because he basically turned me away, refunded my co-pay and told me that sometimes you just have to live with pain. I proceeded to go to an actual and ethical ENT doctor in Encino by the name of Ali Namazie who I highly recommend. I just underwent a surgery yesterday for a deviated septum as well as eustachian tube dysfunction in my right ear. This was all brought on by complications related to intubation from my cervical spine procedure, which I did mention to the person I saw by the name of David Yun. I was strongly strongly discouraged anyone from going to this office, especially if you're from the LGBTQ+ community or a woman. I was treated very poorly by this individual and was honestly reluctant to go to any other ENT for months and suffered a lot of pain because of this. I've never been treated like that by a 'doctor' and and wouldn't wish that on anyone. I hope this individual doesn't treat anyone else this way and hope he personally reads this review. read more

Best experience yet! I've had 3 surgeries on my nose, Dr. Eric Yavrouian has been the best! After years of not being able to breathe properly, he was the only one to determine it was because of scar tissue from the previous surgeries. Was quickly scheduled for a simple out patient procedure that has been a game changer for me. He is thorough, patient with questions and a total professional. This review was written by my boyfriend who visited the office in September 2021. I went in for a consultation for a breathing problem I've had for years. Dr. Yavrouian insisted on checking my nose with a device during this consultation. He failed to mention to me that it would be an additional cost and they would charge me 360.00 to do so. He did make a comment on my insurance saying "your insurance is better than most." I received a letter today, 4 months after my visit claiming they had sent me 3 statements prior to this and if i don't pay it will go into collection. I have not received one bill prior to today. When I called their office to ask what these charges are, the clerk named Tracy was extremely rude and unhelpful. Worst doctors office experience I've ever had. I have been trying to get an appointment for my husband for over a week and there is no answer My husband called and left a message with the nurse and not even a phone call back. My husband also had a sleep test a year ago and they never called him back with the results . very frustrating. read more

I am shocked that this place has any negative reviews. I took my mother here earlier this week. Check-in was quick, we were in the room within 30 minutes. All the staff were welcoming. Dr. Yavrouian was friendly, smart, and efficient. My mom really liked him, and she isn't comfortable with most doctors. We would highly recommend this office for all your ENT needs! read more

I wish I could do negative stars. If they they refer you for hearing aids to Dr. Hear, that is because they own that practice and want to sell you hearing aids. I went in for a very painful ear infection, they told me I didn't have an infection, just "a lack of ear wax and should put 4 drops of baby oil, twice a day" in my ear. Seriously. "And, by the way...how about a hearing test? What do you know.. you need hearing aids and might qualify for you insurance to cover them". Sure enough I get a call a week later from the office of Dr. Hear that I can come and get fitted. I told them my infection was still an issue. When I asked to get a second opinion about my infection and get treated, I was sent to another Dr. in the same office. He told me from the doorway without even looking in my ear that there was no infection. I had an MRI that showed I did have an infection, but Dr. Yun refused to prescribe antibiotics that would help. I ended up in the emergency room and sure enough the doctor treated me for a raging inner and outer ear infection. Antibiotics, ear drops and even Vicodin (and what dr even gives that now unless you are in a lot of pain) The ER Dr could not believe that the doctors at ENT Surgical were so greedy and callous to sacrifice my hearing (not treated could lead to terminate hearing loss amongst other problems) just so they could sell hearing aids. Be wary of these people that call themselves doctors. read more

My wife had two appointments at this doctor one week apart the first appointment she arrive there right on time and waited an hour and some time past her appointment will understand that there are going to be sometimes when there will be delays but this doctor is very consistent so we have another appointment for the same doctor she waited an hour and 3/4 to be seen and one of they just make the appointment an hour and 3/4 later so that when you come you can be seen In a timely manner read more

What a rip-off doctor's office. Took me forever to get an appointment, and Doctor Yun spent two minutes with me, suggested that they proceed with a hearing test(didnt tell me that my HMO wouldnt cover these tests). After testing, Dr. Yun spent two more minutes with me, told me I was losing my hearing in one ear and nothing he could do. I tried to ask questions and he appeared out of time and unwillingto assist. THEN, the notes Dr Yun sent my primary doctor were different - in this information he noted possible allergies, eustachian tube disfunction, loss of hearing in both ears, whereas he told ME that this wasn't the case. THEN, I got a bill for $150.00 for hearing exams, not including the Specialist fee that I had already paid. And of course he didn't even offer to provide me with the specific results of this hearing test, that I didnt know I was going to be charged for. Totally useless doctor. Do yourself a favor and try to see another, more qualified specialist. read more

I needed to be seen I had lost my voice for over 3 weeks and it had been growing hoarse.. I would have loved to have waited but I really needed to be seen. It's covid-19 like we're going through a pandemic and I have asthma... so I called in advance and asked what they were doing to keep people safe. The only covid check they ask for is just a verbal, hey you have any symptoms? No cool you're good. I was put off by no checks for a medical facility they told me to just come at my appointment time they were only seeing one patient at a time and there was no waiting room so I wouldn't have to worry about a crowd. I got there at 11:30 my appointment time.. there were about 12 people sitting in the waiting room one man was coughing a storm right next to the front desk woman. I felt so lied to. There was a waiting room and no marks on the floor to stay away from each other they took little if any precautions. I told them to just call me I'm waiting in my car for when my appointment actually is after 20 minutes of people just walking in and out.. it's now 12:15 45 min past my appointment and still haven't been called. If it wasn't an actual emergency for me with a family background of throat cancer I wouldn't be waiting still. Horrible experience so far. Update* they took my temperature once I entered the facility and doctor Carol was very helpful. I'll most likely be returning after covid for a follow up. read more

I took my son here to get excess ear wax build up removed from his ears. He saw Dr Sarah Carroll. I couldn't have been more disappointed with my son's visit with this doctor. She brought out this machine that was supposed to suck out the wax, used it for a few seconds and nothing came out. She then proceeded to start cleaning up when I realized she was done... I expressed my concerns about nothing being removed from his ears and that I was very unsatisfied with what she did/didn't do. I left angry and called the office to further express that and never received a telephone call, email, NOTHING from this office except for a hefty bill for absolutely no relief for my young son. I have taken him to other doctors where you could clearly see the ear wax that was removed and my son could feel and hear the difference. I've been extremely unhappy with Sarah Carroll and the way the administrative staff handled this problem. read more

My 7 year old was referred here. The office staff seemed nice then we met the doctor. He was very impatient with my son and as as a result he rushed to the conclusion that my boy needed tubes in both ears. Before i could process the news the doctor was out the door. I waited for the nurse to return then bombarded her with questions. She called the doctor back in and he answered my questions standing by the door, one foot outside the door the entire time. About 2 weeks later, still no news about when the procedure would be scheduled. I called to find out no one ever inputted a referral. 3 phone calls and another two weeks I have the green light to schedule the procedure. I called. The message said "leave your info and your call will be returned in the order recieved". I left my info and recieved a call the next day. Unfortunately, I missed it by a minute. I immediately called back hoping she would pick up but alas, I left another message. This was a week ago. Still nothing. I will be seeing a new ENT next week. Regret not doing it sooner. read more

Short and sweet, I went in for an issue with my ears regarding eustachian tube dysfunction or something along that line and the lady I saw was very dismissive about it and gave me a prescription for something I coulda gotten over the counter and it was only for allergies. I told her several times it never worked for me otherwise I would have gotten it over the counter. I asked about options, she didn't take me seriously and pretty much sent me packing with no resolution or not even a 'let's try and narrow things down'. Horrible doctor, and worse yet after paying the damn copay they had the gall to tell me I didn't pay and kept bugging me to pay the copay, I kept telling them to look in their records, which they didn't do and basically I just paid them double the copay for pretty much NOTHING. DO NOT GO HERE, find an actual good ENT somewhere else, I'd rather travel 2 hours to see somebody than waste my time with these unprofessional hacks. read more

The doctors and staff is nice and helpful, however, beware of the Office Practice Manager, Julie. My mother was referred to and called the Glendale office to schedule. Julie took her call and told my mother the offices did not have any available appointments and could not schedule her at that time. Upon hearing this from my mother, I called myself and was also immediately belittled and demeaned by Julie when trying to schedule my mother's appointment for no apparent reason. I have scheduled many appointments of all nature not just medical and I have never encountered such a rude individual. Her tone and choice to demean my mother and myself over the phone is completely unacceptable and unwarranted. It is almost as if she chooses to make the appointment scheduling process more difficult for the patient. Julie even had the audacity to tell me as well that she was swamped with work and could not schedule my mother. Julie kept raising her voice at me insisting I was omitting information from my mother's referral from her meanwhile I kept telling her everything the referral said and even offered to provide her the referral number and/or a picture of the referral it it would help the scheduling process. She refused yelled some more and then calmed down and asked for the referral number!!!! On the brighter side the Pasadena office staff is a lovely group of individuals and are very helpful which is the complete opposite of Julie. I feel so sorry for them to have to deal with such a bitter office manager like Julie. read more

WORST DOCTOR'S OFFICE EVER!!! I went in with my mother since she has had chronic ear pain and inflammation. Since it was recommended by my aunt I went because I trust her. When I called them a few days before to schedule an appointment was told I would pay 23-100 bucks. Okay fine, went in and it went from bad to worse in less then 20 minutes. They ended up charging us 150 bucks, and when I asked them about how much the follow up was going to be, the women didn't know. They didn't have answers to a lot of my questions. Maybe I'm just to complex of a person for them. Overall, avoid this place. I do have more to write but I don't want to stress myself much more. read more

So far this place is not impressing me. They did not call my insurance to verify coverage, I have been waiting for 30 minutes, and the receptionist acts as if you owe her something. The fact that they did not verify my coverage forces me to pay out of pocket for my procedures. Not cool. Double or triple booking patients is also not right. People have lives. Dr. Yum was ok. One more thing.....why do they take your picture for their chart? I tried to smile, but after this experience I could not. read more

I took both of my boy's to see Dr. Yun for tongue tie. I know usually things like that are caught when their newborns. But for what ever reason it was just noticed. My boy's who are 7 and 5, were super nervous to see him. Dr. Yun was gentle and made sure the boys were comfortable. He performed the procedure in a blink of an eye. Super efficient office, from making the appointment, checking in to the exam room. Everything was on point, would recommend this ENT to all. read more

I can't recommend Dr. Yun highly enough. I had sinus surgery a few years back (NOT by Dr. Yun) and it was botched. Too long a story...anyway I started having severe and recurring ear and sinus infections that were unbearable. I visited three other ENT's who I should write about, all without success. One ENT just kept giving me A Z-pack and Steroids every month. I kept asking him about putting a tube in my ear but he ignored me. Finally, my wife found Dr. Yun and ENT Surgical Associates, on my first visit, he said he could lance my ear and clean it out. It took a few minutes and the pressure and inability to hear was immediately relieved. He said the hole might close up and he could put a tube in which happened a few weeks later. He put the tube in painlessly and quickly in the office. I've had a few infections since the basic problem is from my botched sinus operation but Dr. Yun always fixes me. Now, the staff is all awesome. They are friendly, have great personalities and work to squeeze me in whenever I have a problem. Totally professional and accommodating. I recommend the Pasadena office over the Glendale office since it's smaller and more personal and maybe I just know the staff there better. I wish he would have performed my sinus surgery and I would never have the problems I do now. read more

This office is terrible. The staff is very rude. I brought my friend in who is from another country, mentally and physically challanged and in need of his hearing checked. The doctor and his staff were making fun of the way my friend walked backed to the room. They were imatating his walk and making horrible jokes about him. I grabbed him and we left immediatley.
