My response, why would I want another opinion when I already have Dr. Babaganian. For the second time my surgury worked out perfectly. Perfectly. My family can't understand how I could have major surgery without suffering. To tell you the truth, I am a little confused myself. But its true. Thank you Dr, I appreciate you so much.

He was so kind and comforting and extremely proficient in determining what the cause was and what treatment was needed. Recently, I had a very unique, hereditary type of ear infection that most doctors would not have seen nor treated before. Dr. Babajanian recognized the problem immediately and started treatment, then took me into emergency surgery within less than a day's notice. I am so grateful for his vast knowledge in this field of medicine, his compassion and consideration for the pain I was in, and the ease of communication he has with his patients. Thank you, Dr. Babajanian. I will always highly recommend you! P.S. You also have a very kind and friendly staff.

Along with her colleague, audiologist Dr. Rebecca Lewis, they make a fantastic team. In reading other reviews about some long wait times, because they work at a large HC institution with a robust patient base, sometimes you may need to wait a bit, but that's because she doesn't rush through appointments and is thorough in explaining your situation and answer your questions. She is compassionate, encouraging and gets to know her patients. I whole heartedly recommend her and the entire team.

I would not go to this doctor if I had raw meat and fire ants in my ears. Had an appointment. Drove 2 hours because our house burned down and was staying far away. My husband and 3 dogs drove with me, because our 2nd car burned down, too. I was on time, walked in and they told me that Voelker was at a conference. The check in woman said I was the 2nd person the scheduler told the wrong month to. Check in woman felt really bad and said she would talk to Voelker and see if she could move up the appointment and do a zoom since I already had tests done elsewhere and I was heading out of state at the end of the month because, again, our house burned down. The office is an absolute mess. Was called so many times about rescheduling - never spoke to the same person twice. After they said Voelker would do zoom, then a new person called me said she would not. Around and around I went. Ultimately, Voelker would NOT move up the appointment. Not a nice person. Cannot recommend with a white hot passion.

Making the appointment was simple and doing the usual pile of paperwork for a first time patient was less annoyingly done online. An audiologist first tested my hearing, sending me into a soundproof booth and sticking earbuds into my ears. It wasn't as fun as getting a wet willie but really, what is? Between the testing and subsequent meeting with Dr. Balaker, who was informative and patiently answered my questions, my prognosis was delivered and options presented. I was very happy with my experience and had complete confidence in both Dr. Balaker and her staff.

At my follow-up appointment on 10/24/25, I expressed that my symptoms had not improved. Dr. Balaker performed a brief nasal scope exam that lasted less than a minute and stated that everything "looked fine." When I asked for a CT scan to further evaluate why my symptoms persist, I was told it was not necessary. I left feeling dismissed and unheard. Throughout my visits, I felt rushed and uncomfortable asking questions. During my last appointment, her bedside manner was particularly concerning -- she was not personable, appeared impatient, and at times rolled her eyes when I asked questions. As a patient who underwent surgery, I expected thoughtful follow-up and a willingness to investigate ongoing symptoms. After surgery, no one from the office contacted me to check on my recovery or schedule follow-up care. I had to call the office myself to arrange a post-operative appointment. Additionally, prior cultures had shown heavy growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and I did not feel there was adequate follow-through regarding this finding. Finally, at my follow-up visit I was told there would be no copay. Four months later, I received a bill, which was surprising and frustrating. Surgery is a serious decision. Patients deserve careful follow-up, transparency, and to feel heard when they report persistent symptoms. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I will not be returning to this provider.

Even at CanJam it's not really possible. When I heard about this being possible from Steve the Audiophiliac on YouTube via Dr. Julie Glick's - Musicans Hearing Solutions office, I booked an appointment immediately. Drove down from the Bay Area for this opportunity. First she checked my ears to see if they needed to be cleaned but my ears were already clean. Then onto the demo. I got to try many of the IEMs maybe 12 different ones (not sure), when I went. Ultimate Ears, Jerry Harvey Audio, and 64 Audio were available, and we did the blind tests. I did not feel rushed, and spent at least 2 minutes or longer with each IEM which is all I needed. My personal top 5 picks were, in this order: 64 A18t 64 A18s 64 A12t JH Jimi JH Layla 64 Audio A18t sounded very good, but then we put the m15 apex module in and I was sold. All 5 of them were excellent but I drifted more into 64 Audio's direction. Although JH had stronger bass. I ended up purchasing A18t custom IEMs via Dr, Julie Glick and was able to customize my pair, and even get a discount, and a free hearing test. Was surprised that my hearing came back normal since I've been to over 500 concerts and am constantly wearing headphones, etc. but grateful that I still have my hearing and also that Dr. Julie Glick's shop even exists. Not only am I happy with this opportunity, but it was worth the trip from the Bay Area (6 hour drive).

My story began with discomfort and hearing loss in my right ear. At first, I went to a doctor who diagnosed me with a middle ear infection and prescribed antibiotics. However, the treatment brought no relief. My condition only worsened -- I continued to experience pressure, discharge, and pain. Later, it turned out that the diagnosis had been incorrect. The real cause was a fungal infection, and in such cases antibiotics not only fail to help, but can actually make the problem worse. Because of this mistake, the disease progressed: the fluid that had built up behind my eardrum eventually developed into a cholesteatoma -- a serious and dangerous condition that can destroy the ear's delicate bone structures and threaten one's health. Almost a month later, when the situation had already become very advanced, I finally came to see Dr. Zuniga. From that moment, everything changed: I met not only a brilliant surgeon, but also a remarkable human being. From the day of the correct diagnosis until the operation, there were many worries and difficult moments, but at every stage Dr. Zuniga showed incredible patience, compassion, and support. I always felt safe and knew I was in the very best hands. The surgery, which I underwent more than six months ago, was a success. Today, I feel wonderful. It was a truly complex procedure, but the result has been nothing short of a gift. Words cannot fully express the depth of my gratitude: it is relief, joy, and the overwhelming feeling of having been given back a full and normal life. In addition to his outstanding professional skills, Dr. Zuniga possesses rare human qualities -- kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care. People like him, who practice medicine at the highest level while also giving so much of their heart, are a true blessing. Meeting Dr. Zuniga has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. On behalf of my whole family, I want to say: we thank God for sending us such a doctor, and we will be forever grateful to Dr. Zuniga for everything he has done. May God bless him and all the physicians who serve their patients with the same devotion and love for their calling.
