We don't understand the recent "bottom of the barrel" ratings for this place. Sounds like folks may be grabbing premade sandwiches on the go...? You gotta sit down to enjoy this place! We stopped by this location in the San Juan Airport, it looked different than the burger/chicken place down the concourse. So glad we did! We loved it! For a place in an airport, this was 5 stars... Service was good, all the servers we interacted with were friendly (and patient with all of our questions!). We chose the Montanera Salad and the Jamon Experience. The salad was huge, and fresh, ample cheese, olives, ham and toasted almonds. The berry coulis dressing was light and tasty. The ham tray came with toasted baguettes, a light drizzle of olive oil. The ham samples were plenty, all good, our favorite was the 24 month old ham. A couple of glasses of bubbly, and what a meal. A very worthwhile stop if you have the time. Highly recommend Enrique Tomas!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!!!!!!!!! WORST RIP OFF OF MY ENTIRE LIFE IT WAS $90 for 3 terrible dry sandwiches, a salad, and a measly charcuterie board To add to this the man working was SO rude to us Kicked us out after trying to sit at a table with the food we had just bought So you're telling me we spend almost $100 and we can't even sit for 10 minutes to eat? An absolute JOKE. Whoever is running this disgusting business should be ashamed.

View of the bar. Full spoiler, they're plastic. I asked. I got to touch one.

You really don't expect to have a good lunch at the airport. A 2 am Cinnabon, followed by a burrito, sure. Not a good lunch. This, however, was actually REALLY GOOD. I so would go back, if it wasn't, you know, in an airport. It was great by any airport standards, and really good generally. Their menu is non existent. You have two options for sandwiches. Eat it or go away. The sandwich is nominally an Italian sandwich, and it had like eighty-five types of ham on it, plus Manchego cheese. Yea, it's a little heavy on the bread, but so are most sandwiches. Plus, to quote uncle Aaron, "I like bread, Spiderman." Honestly, I didn't think it was overpriced by airport standards. Maybe a bit more than I'd pay for the same sandwich back home, but... not much, and it's in an airport.

A typical airport bar in many ways but with tapas based around Iberico ham. Service is above average. The mojitos are very good, made with fresh limes instead of juice from a big.

Shit bread roll with shoe leather prosciutto

I thought I would stop by for what looked like a wonderful prosciutto roll/sandwich, boy was I wrong, complete and utter shite! The prosciutto was tough as shoe leather and the bread was at least two days old! At $30 for a roll it was very expensive shite as well! Absolutely the worst airport food I have ever had.

    Quesadillas, chips, and chicken piece.

Expensive airport restaurant food should meet at least some standard if you charge an arm and a leg. We ordered the sampler, and the cheese for the nachos had to be skimmed and tasted horrible, and the quesadillas were sitting in their own oil. Fries, tostones, and the chicken tender didn't have as many complaints. For the price paid, you would expect better. We barely ate what was served. Waste of money

Enrique Tomas at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Carolina is a convenient stop for delicious food and drinks. I really like their menu and everything that they have available here is well prepared. Well worth it for a good meal that is quick and flavorful.

Good drinks and nice sandwiches near the Delta gates at SJU. Would be 5 star except it is pretty expensive ($30 plus $10 tip for a sandwich and a rum; basically 50% airport tax...). Very limited menu, but I think everything they have is excellent.

Services were good. Had a snack there and that place was surprisingly good for the charcuterie board. I would recommend this. Thank you.

Gladys at the bar was totally rude. Can't recommend less. The food and drinks were average at best.

Piñero, in the Altamira neighborhood of San Juan, off the PR-20. It is also known as La Hacienda de Altamira. It has a private parking lot with plenty of spaces. They have a few tables set up outside in front of the store. This is the most spacious of the Hacienda stores, making it comfortable to move around with a cart or stroller. Being a gourmet grocery, you will find pricier products here than at the average supermarket. Depending on what you want, the higher price may be worth it. I like coming here for fresher produce and ingredients I find difficult to find at the supermarket, such as real feta cheese. The meats here are excellent quality, as are their pre-marinated meats. This is an ideal place to buy snacks for a picnic or get together. They have delicious deli salads/dips. They also have a good selection of craft beer, mainly from Ocean Lab. Their baguettes are very good. They sell out quickly, so if you are lucky to get one nice and warm, you are in for a treat. This store has a Café Hacienda San Pedro inside for fresh and delicious coffee. You have to pay for the coffee at the cashier before placing your order with the barista (although if there is nobody in line, you can order and they'll prepare the coffee while you pay).
