I went to eat here last week and was really thinking of whether or not to write a review because of the new management, but I figured if I'm spending my money I have the right to say my opinion. At this point the "new management" needs to get with the program and make the necessary changes!!!!
The pizza itself is alright, but it is way overpriced! Their veggie pizza is horrible - 2 maybe 3 types of veggies and the large size just doesn't seem as large as other pizza shops in the area. Not to mention the pizza guy really denied our request to have half veggies and half specialty pizza when I told him to just charge me the full price of a specialty plus an extra buck or two - he refused and was extremely rude about it. The chix kabob is too plain - plain old italian dressing doesn't do it for me. My friend ordered the chix wing dinner, not good - the fries were very plain and soggy, and the chix tasted like old, smelly oil.
Another time I went (yes, I gave them a second chance) they screwed up our order! The one and only employee who knows what she is doing (a short older woman) wasn't there and everyone else is plain old lazy and rude. Not only did they screw up my order, but they were practically blaming me for their screw up. No, "I'm sorry or we're sorry; pls forgive us" nothing. When I asked to speak to the supervisor she was dumbfounded with the idea that I expected some sincerity and an apology. Oh, and she was trying to make me still pay for the pizza because the pizza guy said it was my fault. What happened to the pleasing the paying customer. I truly agree that the customer is not always right, but to deal with this amount of disprespect is ridiculous.
The customer service is what does it for me though and this place needs a whole new team. There was one older lady who knew what she was doing, fast, friendly, efficient and honest. Coming from a food service background they really only have 3 employees that are worth it and that's not including the busser and delivery, plus we don't interact with the cook. One of the newer waitresses didn't know her menu, didn't clean off our table correctly, forgot to bring us silverware (we asked 2 times until I finally got it myself), and couldn't tell us how long our food might be becuase she didn't want to bother the pizza guy because it was so busy...it wasn't even that busy, its food service!!! I get that she's knew, but really....train your people correctly.
The second time I went, mentioned above, was the worst. I want to know how people like their "supposed supervisor" get the jobs they do. No wonder everything is in disarray....it all starts from the top. The management team doesn't have it together, then the supervisor is a nitwit who does the training, therefore the new employees won't make a difference they'll just keep making it worse......
Good Luck Engine House I will never spend money with you ever again....get new employees! read more
