My second time here. First time was 4 years ago for the chocolate and wine journey only to return again years later for the same event. This was our 3rd stop. To be honest I wasn't to excited about it since the last time I was there, there wasn't a whole lot going on. But boy did they step it up from 4 years ago. There's plenty of parking. When we entered there were so many people and live music going. So many beautiful decorations and places to take photos for IG lol the staff that was pouring our drinks was very kind. They had a variety: reds, Chardonnay and beer. The ones we tired were delicious. They had many local shop and food vendors laid out across their outdoor area. The restrooms were nice and very clean. My party and I had a great time and ended up staying longer than expected.

We came here for their Friday night outdoor concert. What a perfect venue. The sound is by Mike of Wizard Sound. It is absolute PERFECTION! He is constantly walking around to make sure everything is balanced and that the acoustics is spot on. If you haven't been here, you need to hurry! There are only 2 more concerts. Next week is supposed to be AMAZING! Friday October 20, 2023, THE ULTIMATE 80'S CONCERT EXPERIENCE with Fasttimes!

So many fun events here

Wow! What a wonderful place to spend a Sunday afternoon! I'd been to Engelmann's a few times back in 2016 or so, but most recently visited on a Sunday in June. Beautiful, huge grassy area with trees for shade to spread out in your own chairs or picnic blankets. No charge on Sundays. That day there wasn't a food truck so we brought our own snacks. There are some tables a available to use as well. Since the last time I was there they have added a really nice bathroom. The indoor tasting room and bar looks amazing! Nice and cool on a warm summer afternoon. I tired their beautiful rosè, delicious! Their bottles/labels are stunning. Besides wine they have Coca Cola brand canned sodas, hint water, and a few more options. They also have beer on tap! A few snack options as well, great variety of chips, cheese platters and crackers and these awesome chocolates! Great service and set up. I'd love to come back very soon. Short drive from Herndon and 99 area.

The most amazing venue for any occasion, especially for our wedding. My husband proposed to me at one of their Friday night concerts. Which if you haven't been and you're in the Fresno area it's a must! I've been to many events out there over the years. The communication with the owners and staff was smooth and easy, everything is laid out in the contract. They gave great suggestions for our other planning needs. They have very generous requirements. You do need to remember they are a small business, which is what gives it the magic. The most serene moment is when the sun has set, the wind is blowing, and the strings lights are on. October was a great month for a wedding out there. Their lawn was green and healthy. So many photo op spots around the venue.

Engelmann Cellars is a must do in Fresno! They have an amazing selection of wine, beer, seltzers and non-alcoholic options to keep your thirst quenched all year long. The venue is just stunning!! It's one of the best spots in town to watch the sunset. The Friday night summer concerts are so much fun. There is ample room to get a great spot in the shade, so bring a chair or blanket and sit back and enjoy the tunes. There are always delicious eats at the great selection of food trucks. Sundays are family & pet friendly and there is plenty of room to run and play. Plan to bring food as there aren't food trucks on Sunday. I highly recommend this place and can't wait for my next visit.

Engelman Cellars has a great venue! Lots of green grass to spread out on and tons of shade. They had a couple of food trucks, but I ate dinner before I came. We drank a couple kinds of wine - Chardonnay blend and Sommer Quartet, which is sweet. Both were delicious! You should visit this place.

Beautiful sunsets and views.

I love this place. During summer it's our friday night hangout. Owners are wonderful. Wines are great and their wine Slushies are a must try on. Warm night. Beautiful setting. Enjoy the Sunday afternoon family time at the vineyard.

Had a great time, but if you go hungry be prepared to wait! There was only one food truck and the wait was long.

It truly was a great year. If you would've asked me on June 1 what was my favorite of the 2025 shows I'd seen I would have said the two Dead & Company concerts I saw at the Las Vegas Sphere. Absolutely incredible shows. But then in October I travelled to Tulsa to see some shows at Cain's Ballroom. I visit Oklahoma every year and I always make it a point to see a show or two at Cain's. This year at Cain's I saw two artists I had never heard of before. The headliner for the two shows I saw was Josh Meloy. He was good, and had a fantastic band behind him. But it was the band opening the show for Josh on the first night that blew me away: Kenny Feidler and the Cowboy Killers. I don't remember the last time I saw a band that I immediately fell in love with so completely. I walked out of that show a changed person. Kenny is a prolific songwriter. He's a former rodeo star and many of his songs reflect that experience. Most commonly Kenny's music is classified as Alt-Country, but I don't actually know what that means. What I do know, though, is rock and roll. And Kenny's band, The Cowboy Killers are a kick ass rock and roll band. First thing I did after seeing him at Cain's was go online to check out Kenny's tour schedule. I was so happy to discover he would be playing some shows in California in December. I had to choose between Costa Mesa and Fresno. Costa Mesa would've been closer but after I checked out the Yelp page for Fulton 55, I instantly knew this would be the place to see a show. And I was right. The venue is a great place to see live music. Security at the door was cool. Inside, the sound was clear and loud, the crowd was chill, and it didn't take forever to get a drink at the bar. Brady Stovall opened the show and I enjoyed his set. I liked how his drummer just used the Cowboy Killer's drummer's kit, so it didn't take long between bands. Kenny Feidler and the boys played a 17 song, 90 minute set that included a blistering, nearly six minute version, of the song Cowboy Killers. Happily, a lot of the songs performed were from Kenny's most recent (2025) release, The Western Tragedy, including Idaho Hippies and The Bronc Fighter. After the show I got the chance to meet Kenny and get a photo. What a great guy! This wasn't the first time Kenny has played a show at 55 Fulton, and inshallah it won't be the last. Whenever that next show happens, for sure I'm gonna be there. Mikey C says: damn right!

Fast forward to now, it has been renamed to Strummer's but it still possesses the same concept except it's 21 and over now. I've seen cover bands here, rock bands and I've come to boogie for their themed nights like 70s night 80s night ,90s night and dark wave. The cover charge is usually five dollars. There's two bars, one adjacent to the dance floor and then the main bar with booths and seating. They do offer food as well like $5 pizza slices, Mozz, stocks, sliders and your typical bar food fare. The crowd ranges here from Young 21-year-olds to people in their 50s and 60s. It kind of depends on the theme of the night. For example, if you come on Bad Bunny night, it's all youngsters in their 20s. If you come for a disco night or 80s night, then it'll be a wider range. Security is tight and they do a good job of repelling any type of drama because it is notorious that fights breakout in the Tower, but they keep all that drama at bay here. You can always expect to have a good time especially with a group of friends. I definitely recommend checking them out and looking at their lineup to see what appeals to you.

"Back in the day," I've come to see a huge variety of shows. I hope they get to that point again with good attendance since this space is pretty large and open. This is a pretty old building pretty much next door to Warnors Theater. It's showing some wear, I felt bad for the old bar top that is really scraped and scuffed (and sticky). but this is still a decent place for shows or to rent for events. It can feel empty if there aren't a lot of people. Our last two visits were to hear music, both times really good - DJ Mr Leonard about a month ago and then The Box playing live with local artists Hope Garcia and Ben Napoles. Both times music was great and I had so much fun dancing .... But there was hardly anyone in attendance! Just crazy. My biggest complaint is that they rarely have any good beers. And the draft beer tastes ... off. The other thing is the drinks are inconsistent. So I stick to simple here; jack and coke, etc. and that's kind of a bummer. *however,* I can get a simple (and large) drink of say, Tanqueray or Courvesior with soda for just $8. I'll take it! Last night they were serving tacos for cheap, which was nice - we bought another round with them so also smart lol. And bartenders have always been friendly, no assholes. Also important, bathrooms have always been clean. Live long and prosper, Frank's Place

But this last Journey Tribute night was really disappointing. The opening band Shattered was incredible--high energy, crowd interaction, and had everyone dancing and singing. They set the perfect vibe. Then Faithfully came on as the closing band, and the energy completely dropped. The singer had a good voice, but there was no interaction with the audience, the band just stood there looking forward, and even the way they were dressed looked more like a garage rehearsal than a professional closing act. People around us--including from our group--started leaving early, which says a lot. When you pay good money for tickets, food, and drinks, you expect the closing band to keep the night alive, not bring it down. And to be honest, it's disappointing that Apcal removes reviews when guests share real experiences--both good and bad--because feedback matters.

I passed it by on the road because of the new gas station set-up and it is down the road just a bit further. Inside the Ranch, there wasn't the building that used to be off to the right of the stage, no huge oak tree where the VIP tables used to sit and the layout was just so different now. They now have 2 sections divided by a foot path for smoking and non-smoking. Smokers used to have to go in the far back by the entrance to smoke. They now have the bar in the middle with half the bar serving the smokers and other side serving non-smokers. The port-a-potties are lined up by the entrance/exit. They were actually pretty clean with toilet seat covers in almost all of the stalls and running water with hand-soap and paper towels. The stage is now bigger and more professional looking with shelter over it for the bands. There is still a VIP section however they are seated in front on the smoker's side which doesn't really make any sense to me if you are spending so much for VIP but then have to deal with smelling smoke. VIP's get their own bar and access to their own port-a-potties. There were 4 food trucks and it was a bit disappointing to that none of the food trucks served anything sweet except Boba. None of the trucks served coffee or hot chocolate. I am very pleased with the staff. They were helpful and friendly. The bar serves beer on tap, bottled, hard rootbeer, mixed cocktails, wine and sodas in a can. They no longer allow wine bottle purchases. Apparently people got upset when they couldn't take their opened bottles home at the end of an event. Just drink it. Duh?! Alcoholic Drinks run $8-10 on average and sodas $3. I got a pomegranate Sangria (highly recommend) the fruit one is not as good. And then I also got a glass of moscato (in a small plastic cup). I did accidentally spill my moscato after having one drink as I leaned over in my chair to put my food down and down it spilled on my arm and foot. I told the bartender so she wouldn't think I was a drunk downing it and coming back for another. She replaced it for me at no charge. Thank you!!!! Food was okay. I got the Asada nachos from the Asada Island truck. The band that opened for Bruno Tribute was called The Sinners. They were pretty good but we pretty much had enough of that band after an hour. They played for 2 hours which was overkill. The opening band shouldn't be allowed to play as long the main event. Both bands played for 2 hours. Bruno Tribute was on fire. I don't even like Bruno Mars and yet me and my friends danced on the dance floor in front the entire time they played. I can't wait to start coming to more again even though the season is coming to an end.

That's not to say I don't have any complaints at all about the Rainbow Ballroom, but holy crackpipe- they do a damn near perfect job in running and enforcing their shit. I went for a Steve Aoki concert, and this was the first "rave" like setting I've ever been in. I went with a bunch of friends who go to all the huge events like Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), Nocturnal, TAO, etc. and they've been trying to get me to go along forever now, and I've always resisted. Anyway, I came to this both because I wanted to start out small, and because I really liked the artist that was performing. So anyway, when we first pulled up and got to the front door- MAJOR props for not being like every other fucktard club in Fresno and making you wait in a mile-long line to give the appearance that they're poppin' inside. I've been to clubs that shall go nameless that do this thing ALL THE TIME- where you wait in line for 20-30 minutes, often in the cold, only to finally get inside- and NOBODY'S THERE. That shit just doesn't fly with me. Anyway, this is where I'm going to make my first complaint. Almost every event here (including this night's) is a 16+ event- and this is iffy for a few reasons, mainly because they serve alcohol. I mean, they separate things well- the bar's clearly on one half of the building, and the other half and dance floor is alcohol free. There's security guards at all of the "transition zones" checking your wrist band and making sure you don't sneak drinks. But still- at an event such as a rave where half of the girls you talk to are probably going to make out with you- this is a problem. I just stayed at the bar where I was free to converse with such girls until Aoki came out. The bar had a different set up that seemed annoying at first, but prevented the bar from becoming a complete cluster-fuck mess. Before you would go to one of the bars (I believe there were 2, both on the 21+ side obviously) you would wait in a separate line to buy a drink ticket. So yeah, I initially thought it was stupid to have to wait in 2 lines every time I wanted a drink, but ultimately with the ungodly amount of people that were crammed into this place, it was the quickest and easiest way to do things so you don't have dumbasses wasting the bartenders' time. The event itself- performance was awesome, worthy of 5 stars but I won't say too much more about it unless you want to message me privately. Well, I can't speak too much about how the 16+ side area was run, I only passed through it a few times to get out to the patio, which was always at capacity, too. You'd have to wait for a few people to come back in before they'd let you out. Overall, with the ridiculous amount of people here, the ridiculous amount of INTOXICATED people here, and the fact it was an "all ages" event- I was surprised everything ran so smoothly and without a hitch. No fights, nobody was rowdy or starting anything, it was a peaceful, fun atmosphere despite being an over-the-top fire hazard. I'd definitely come back for another event.
