Poor Business Practices All my bills are on Autopay and they come out every month on the due date. Energy Texas just takes it out when ever they feel like it. Sometime the 1st the next month the 3rd or the 5th the bill is Due on the 7th so I expect it to come out on the 7th. Called customer service they were no help and then left me on hold for a very long time and comes back to tell me that there is not a Supervisor/Manager available for me to speak to but maybe some one might call me back tomorrow and if I don't get a call I should waste more of my time and call them back.

I feel completely duped by Energy Texas. I signed up as a new customer last week. I thought my Solar buyback plan was great. I just received an email today that the plan is changing to market rates. Why wasn't I told about these changes last week? I understand it was officially announced today but I know this has been under discussion for more than one day. Please shed some light Energy Texas. I heard great reviews which was one of the main reasons I signed up but now I am second-guessing that decision.

BAIT AND SWITCH Energy Texas deceived me with an outright lie in their email to me. Their email stated I had earned a $150 Rewards program credit towards my bill. I called the next day to claim and was told by a customer rep and by email that they can change the Rewards program anytime they want and will not honor the $150 credit their email stated I had earned. I believe this is an outright lie and warn everyone away from choosing them as this is dishonest business practice to entice people to choose them. See attached email.

June bill, after the change to their Sun-Jacinto Solar Buy-Back plan.

DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY! Liars... plain and simple. I got a 3 year plan from them and they changed their "add-on" San-Jacinto Solar-buy back plan to math ERCOT's wholesale real-time rates... while still charging an ERCOT rate that is 172% of what they are paying us back. I get around $0.025 for solar buy back right now with their rates, while the rate they charge (only ERCOT's part) $0.043. At the very least they should give us their rate and not the ERCOT rate since that is what they are charging us - $0.0785. But alas, they are not, and they will now hold to what we all singed as a contract. I know they will say it is an add-on and we could have canceled at the May 1 date. Crappy company who is literally stealing from their solar customers. I would cancel right now if they didn't have that $500 cancelation fee... They knew what they are were doing. Bait-and-switch! DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY!

Good and reliable, they do 1:1 solar buy back as well so if you have solar panels they are a must!

Reaching out to this business was straight-forward, I emailed them and a kind woman called me by phone to setup an appointment. With any questions that she didn't know the answer to, she redirected me to email it so an electrician can better answer my question. I had my appointment scheduled and the gentleman, Doc, was assigned to perform the inspection. Doc arrived on-time, was detail oriented in his inspection, and was very patient to explain his findings and recommendations on what were a safety concern first, and what could be addressed later. He explained things over the phone thoroughly and explained his thought process and was open to any questions I had without being annoyed. Within a day, I received his inspection report, a quote for the project/repairs needed, and pictures of the inspection. He was also easy to reach by text. Doc was professional, courteous, and responsive. The cost of the inspection, I think, was a decent value. I highly recommend Veteran Electric to anyone seeking a safety electrical inspection and I hope I'm able to say the same about their quality of work when I hire them for electrical projects. Give this gentleman a raise.

I'm a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. I hired Gilbert because I suffer from…read morevertigo attacks and could not climb the ladder at roof level. I hired him to install Govee permanent lights for the holidays. I contacted him early in November. The first bell rang when I was told he wouldn't be available till after Thanksgiving. But Geo Electrical had good reviews, so I had no reason not to trust them. I waited. In early December Geo finally came to install the lights. I provided the lights, the splitters and over 50' of extensions with compatible connectors. I also provided detailed diagrams on how and where to install the lights, so that no splicing would be necessary. (You are not supposed to cut and splice these lights). Geo disregarded my directions and cut and spliced the lights. Well, he's an electrician, I thought, he probably had done it before. I had to come outside and supervise him most of the time to make sure he does what he is supposed to. He charged $400.00 for the job. That night I noticed that the end string of lights that runs over my garage flickered intensely, whereas other lights were steady. See videos. I contacted Geo and was told he's booked all week and the next and then out of town till New Year. He did everything possible to get out of it. He told me to buy an amplifier (did not work). He told me it's not an electrical problem, but the length of the lights wiring is over 100' (which is nonsense, my set is only 100' and one string was left unused. 25' of extensions also left unused and controller supports 150 feet.) Then finally he conceded that it might be his connections in drop (see photo) that were loose and agreed to stop by and check those.. Next Year. So Next Year came and guess what? He is booked till January 26th. And then he told me that I'd have to pay extra money to fix it! When I said no, he wished me good luck! Just an unscrupulous guy who does not stand behind his work and evidently does not care about his reputation. Good Luck!
