The last time I was there, the manager berated me, in front of other clients, in the lobby. If it wouldn't have cost my lash professional the appointment, I would have left. Apparently, the management is more concerned with blame shaming clients, than respecting their individual needs. I will NOT go back, as I am quite certain another lash boutique will gladly take my money and be kind while they continue to earn my business.

I also expressed my sensitive skin worries, before the service and she acknowledged that, but still used the wax anyways. The skin above and below my eyes was red and peeling for two days after the service. When I asked about it, all I was told was to put Benadryl on my skin. Cortisone near one's eyes is not a great idea from a medical standpoint. It was too late to stop her as I didn't know what she was doing til she pulled the wax linen strip off. I thought she was still using the template when she was touching my face. I also had to ask for the color fill although it was included in the price. $55 is very high for the factory like service I received. I felt as though my service was not individualized and everyone going to Shante gets the same exact procedure no matter what you pay for. The only reason, this was not one star, was because it was very easy to book on the website. Other than that, there is no positives with booking at this beauty Lounge. Many places do a much better job, and cost 20 to 30% less. I definitely will not be back.

The pedicure seemed a little rushed and she didn't help my ingrown toe nails as much as I am used to with other salons. Everything else about the pedicure was good though! No complaints about the gel manicure other than the lady seemed annoyed (maybe not with me but just in general). She spent a long time filing my nails to make sure they were all even which I really appreciated. Music was good but I wish they had some TVs (it was kinda awkward vibes sitting there staring at nothing as neither of the ladies made conversation with me). Had to pull out my own toe dividers at the end. Was not offered water. Just a few hospitality things to work on but the actual services provided were good. I'll give them another try since they are only 5 mins from me but wasn't wowed!

Very little attention paid to the calluses on my heels, which I specifically asked for (the dry air cracked my heels, and they barely even got the calluses off, which means wearing sandals. Luckily toes are far enough away that people don't inspect them closely, but this is pretty substandard work.

By Saturday I started having a reaction to the eyelashes that caused my eyes to become so swollen it was hard to open them. They were red, itchy and puffy. The phone number they provided me with only went to voicemail, and after writing an email on Monday Loralee finally called me back. I explained to her the reaction I was having, and she told me I was likely allergic and there was nothing she could do. I asked for a credit and she told me that this was my problem and if I wanted to be a "bitch" about it that she would make complaints against me. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. She could have offered to remove the eyelashes or offered other helpful advice. Instead she called me a bitch and hung up the phone. I had to go to another company to have the eyelashes removed. Be careful of this company!!

We loved the delicate, natural look of these lashes, and knew that mastering the technique would set us apart from the crowd. (And they do!) There are very few artists who have mastered this difficult skill and Dawn is one of them. Not only that, she is a wonderful human to be with.
