I called customer service (?) to have someone mark our propane line and they scheduled a service. He never showed up. I then changed propane companies and notified Amerigas and asked them to remove their propane tank. After three calls, I was advised that the tank would be retrieved. Nearly ONE YEAR later, the tank was picked up. The next day, I received an invoice for $298. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

Even the employees that work for them (drivers) are so disgruntled they speak poorly of thier own company. I understand that ratings can vary, but there is no reason to be rude to customers who ask thoughtful questions. Instead, be supportive and customer-driven. Work on your sales approach. If your front office acts this way, I can only imagine what the back office looks like. How we do anything is how we do everything.

I had never had any experience with propane in all my life and I needed a lot of guidance. They helped me get my stove working properly, and hauled away an old propane tank that the previous owner had used and I no longer needed. They also turned off the water at our well down inside it for me. I had never had a well before. There was a lot I didn't know and still don't Then the furnace went out almost the first week we used it. Leon had given me his family's home number in case I had a problem and he called me right back and gave me advice and also offered to come and help. Many times since then Jon and later Leon have cleaned my furnace and checked systems so things run smoothly. Also since they are the only folks who go under the house in the crawl space, they tell me of any problems down there: Like two years ago there was some flooding in this area and I was concerned. Leon let me know there was no standing water, just a little mildew that is now hopefully not an issue. We also have a gate we keep closed over the drive so that our dog doesn't get out and get killed on the road, and the drivers, i know a few names, Linc, and Steve have been so great to open and close the gate especially when the snow is deep and I am afraid to go out in it. I am 71 now so you know I was older than dirt then. Then I got acquainted with Kim and later with Dick and they have always taken the time with me to let me know I am a valued customer to them. My latest issue brought me to call and talk twice to Glenn, a driver who was so helpful even tho it is vacation time and they are so busy. He answered many questions and gave me good advice, twice! How could any of us exist in this day and age without the great people who help us every day with our difficulties? I am so happy to have this opportunity to shout out a big thank you and sing their praises.

My husband and I were camping just down the road from this station and we needed propane. They…read moreadvertise they had propane for five dollars a gallon which was already expensive but we needed it. My husband went in to let them now and the man behind the counter with no apologetic tone in his voice said he was too busy and it wasn't going to happen. I was a little shocked to hear his response so rudely said. And he meant it!!! So we had to drive 30 miles out of our way to get propane. I will never stop at the station ever again!

So my hubs and I were getting gas and I noticed the sign said "co-op" and "ranch and home store" -…read morewhich no one here has mentioned. Took me awhile to make sure this was the right spot. It is. I grew up in co-ops and feed stores (the "feed store" is next door) and so I wanted to go in and wander around, maybe pick up a souvenir. The first thing I Noticed is it smelled nothing like I recalled - no wonderful leather tack smell. Maybe because so much is synthetic now. The second thing I noticed, in disappointment, was how expensive everything was. Like, really expensive. I thought, maybe I can get a child's lasso? $50 and the theme of lassoes nowadays, or at least here, seems to be glow-in-the-dark and bright colors for showtime (I guess?). The third thing I noticed was that even though I wandered the ENTIRE STORE, not a single employee said hello to me. What a disappointment in so many ways.
