Bryan McCrea was recommended by Fred's appliance in Missoula as a trusted competent installer when…read morewe bought our new oven. Turned out to be the opposite. Don't be fooled like us by his polite manner and mild demeanor. Not only did he fail to install our oven correctly, he charged us twice his estimate to install. The install had to be completely re-done. He did not have the right tools needed to complete the job. He needed to borrow multiple tools from me to get to a stopping point. After he left it became clear things we not right as our oven was falling out of the cabinet in which it was incorrectly installed. I reviewed the installation instructions which were very straight forward and simple. After a quick review, I saw the most important steps were skipped. When I contacted Bryan to voice my concerns and ask questions he had absolutely no explanation as to why he skipped steps in securing the oven properly to the cabinet. I sent him pictures of the dangerous situation he left the stove in and he offered to come back to the house to help remove it which I declined as I no longer trust his competency. I had to brace the oven until a new installer could come. Multiple times while he was struggling with the install, I had to offer my tool, and advice, and I even had to get involved removing trim he was damaging trying to smash the oven in place. He also damaged the back of the oven smashing it into the space instead. Once smashing didn't work he spent nearly 2 hours relocating an electrical box. Actually he had his 11yr old son working in the small space behind the stove to relocate the box instead of unhooking it to relocate it properly. Long story short, we had to have another installer come to the house and remove the oven, and start from scratch and install the oven properly. They found damage to the back of the oven caused by Bryan. They confirmed it was a vey sketchy situation the way he left the oven.. almost falling out, un-mounted. They did an excellent job, did more work and still only charged us half ($350 vs Bryan charging us $600) After contacting Bryan and requesting a refund for his botched install which literally did nothing except cause damage and was a dangerous situation for the house and our new $6k oven.. he refused to reply and simply is keeping our money. At this point it feels like we have been robbed. And lastly, he brought his 11yr old child to the job site and had him working the whole time. I am all about bring your kids to work day, but having a child as small as he was move around a large oven, use power tools to install electrical boxes, etc... seems a bit much. Seriously this guy is an accident waiting to happen!

Charged $145 and misdiagnosed the problem and wanted 700 and some dollars for parts and it was a…read more$23 valve beware
