I'll keep it to the point - these guys saved me an insane amount of money and I am grateful for it each month. I live around White Rock Lake in an apartment complex and I had chose my own energy provider for the last 5 years and was always blindsided by how much I was spending.....to me it made no sense, as I was picking the "cheapest" provider according to PowertoChoose. Something is simply not transparent enough about energy providers and even the efforts made by PowertoChoose to help were not getting me anywhere. I tried this service out of desperation in late July 2019, I needed some relief from my $120+ energy bills. I spent 35 bucks for an analysis - I sent them the last twelve months of energy usage and payment records. They got my analysis back to me that SAME day. I picked the cheapest "Green energy" option, which was 'Green Energy Exchange' for me(probably won't be the same for your area and usage). Ever since then I have been baffled...my bills are cut in half or more. The heat is starting to pick up here in Dallas at the beginning of May 2020 and my last energy bill was 51 bucks with the a/c set to auto at all times. It's a miracle to me. That's really what it feels like. For 35 bucks this was such a good decision. It's sad to see the one negative review here, it is the whole reason I am writing this one because my experience was the exact opposite and I know there are other people out there that are paying a lot more than they need to. This is a great service, definitely worth your money. I used to shop on my own, but it was a pain. Every year I had to check out the rates and compare all the gimmicky plans that were being offered. You have to to go to the official Power to Choose website, which is not very helpful, thanks to the confusing gimmicks companies are allowed to use, such as low teaser rates, confusing plans, etc. Once you look at your last year's usage, you then have to figure out the ACTUAL charges based on each company's Electricity Facts Label (EFL) which is confusing by itself. Only then are you able to choose the truly cheapest plan, which is based on your particular usage pattern and will be different for each home. Not to mention you only do it once a year, so I'd always have to refresh my memory on how it all works. (btw, it's a waste of time asking your friends for recommendations because their usage pattern is almost certainly different, so the same plan might be more expensive for you. Also, the plans change weekly, so the super cheap rate your neighbor got last week might be completely different this week, when your contract expires. For the same reason, don't bother shopping until the last 2 weeks of your contract. Unless, of course, your current plan is super high, which is entirely possible. In that case, you may save money even if you have to pay the early cancellation fee.) NO MORE! For $35/year, these guys will deliver the cheapest plans for your usage. It takes a few minutes to set up, but after that, it's a piece of cake. Considering the chore of doing it yourself, $35 is a no brainer. When I was doing it myself, I probably also missed a few cheaper plans, because who has time to look at ALL the plans. There are several other companies that do the same thing as Energy Choice Experts, but I like this one the best. Energy Ogre also finds you the cheapest plan, and they handle setting up your account with the energy provider, but they charge $120/year instead of $35. I prefer setting up the account myself, it's easy and not worth paying someone $80 to do it. Besides, the fewer people that handle my financial info the better. I came across another company similar to Energy Ogre but they charge even more, I can't remember their name. Dont waste your time or money on this service. I contacted them for an energy analysis. It took several attempts to get them to answer. When they did, the recommendations did not include Oncor Delivery charges. I had a high consumption rate of 4.5 cents. Their recommendation was for a company that charged 9 cents, and told me i would save money. How much sense does that make? When i tried to follow up with them regarding no delivery charges and an increase of over 50%. They never answered. Wasted money. read more

I'll admit making changes to my electricity provider wasn't at the top of my To-Do list. However, I'd heard that this business is really saving people money, so I decided to "invest" the $35 fee. (From what I'd heard, I would get it back in the first month's savings, but I'm a skeptic and I like "green alternatives", so I'd wait and see...) Here's what actually occurred: I sent them the last 12 months energy bills (I'm an email packrat, so I still had them in my Inbox...don't judge, it comes in handy at times like these). Within a matter of hours, they sent me the best choice options for the next year...including the best renewable plans! Here's the best part - Our electricity bill for the year is estimated to DROP over $1300! And as a bonus, we stayed with our green plan, but Energy Choice Experts found an energy plan that wasn't on their website as an option for us! Before I posted this, I waited until we'd received our first bill in the new plan to give you an exact comparison (since the year's savings is projected based on your past year's usage.) Our energy bill for January 2016 was $147, and the actual energy bill for January 2017 is $48!! Yep...that saved us almost $100 in ONE month, so we are likely to save what they estimated! That's a well-spent $35 if you ask me, but don't ask me...go to their website NOW to start saving. And no, the only compensation I received from this endorsement is the savings on our energy bill, I promise! read more
