Easily reached, direct and clear communication, timely, accurate, and informative are all apt descriptions of my experience. Mark was able to take very aggressive timelines imposed by the sellers lenders and guide us to a fully funded closing in less than 30 days! Very impressed with the service and successful closure. Thanks Mark and Team!

I worked directly with Mark Raskin as a first-time homebuyer, and unfortunately my experience was…read morevery disappointing. The most frustrating part was not my credit score itself, but the lack of proactive guidance. Before my mortgage application, I believed my credit score was much higher than it actually was. Once my credit was pulled, it became clear that there was a significant gap between my expectations and reality. However, I was never proactively informed about the situation, its impact on my mortgage options, or potential remedies that might have been available. I later learned about rapid rescore through my own research rather than from my lender. Given my credit profile, this was something I believe should at least have been discussed. Instead, I remained unaware of important information that could have affected my decisions during a very time-sensitive period. When I later reached out with questions, I did not feel supported or educated as a first-time borrower. Conversations often felt rushed and dismissive, and I was repeatedly told that I could simply refinance later. While refinancing may be an option in the future, it is not free, effortless, or a substitute for helping borrowers understand all available options before closing. As a first-time homebuyer, I expected more proactive communication, guidance, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

I have never been a member of Navy FUCU. So I immediately went to that location. I was greeted by Selina- I may be off, but her name started with an S. I told her the situation, and I have been a Fraud Investigator for over 10 years. I thought I was being proactive, so the fraud department can be contacted because Navy may be a part of a new fraud ring. She was so rude to me. As I was explaing she told me she can not release any information because I am not a member. I was explaining that, but my SSN is compromised, so all accounts need to be closed, and a fraud investigation needs to be started, and I have all the information from the number that called me, so skip tracing and investigations can be done. But, she refused to take any information. So, I left and went to the Mesquite location, and I was treated even worse. They refused to hear me out. So, if a fraud ring starts with Navy FCU soon and its members are affected, I tried to let them know. I will not recommend a Credit Union like this that does not care or attempt to care about possible fraud that can cause the company a major loss. And I did take all measures to protect my information freeze, placed and fraud alerts placed on all credit bureaus.

Applying was easy, things seemed to be going fine at first when we had an accepted offer on the property is when things got tricky. The staff at Rowlett was completely unprofessional and rude and they lacked basic communication skills. We reached out to clarify certain details on our application, and many times had to ask the same question several times before receiving a response. Many times we emailed the office with no response until getting our realtor involved or making several phone calls. Katherine seemed to always blame the Customer for the shortcomings of her company, absolutely horrible customer service. In the final week of closing, it was discovered that Rowlett had made an oversight on our application and almost caused our entire application to fall through which had nothing to do with us or the seller, her company just failed to read the original listing and documents attached! At this point, we were ready to bail from her company but we only had about 5 days before we had to be out of our current residence so we hesitantly continued on. Finally, our realtor and the seller's agent got involved and demanded the file be closed and our loan closed 4 days later. Overall, I do not recommend this company, the owner herself does not appreciate the business of her Customers, and her staff follows her lead. Katherine has a history of blaming the Customer for their bad experience, which is completely unprofessional. When buying a home, especially as a first-time homebuyer, it's important to find a lender who is understanding, communicates well, and appreciates their customer, Rowlett does not meet these characteristics.

I hate to give so few stars to a branch of a bank I have used for years, and I am not really sure…read morethe lack of stars can be attributed to this branch as much as the corporate customer service, but here goes. I deposit between 1 and 2 hundred thousand dollars in my accounts here per year and things go pretty well. But last month, I opened an account for my granddaughter who is in college. I was tired of her overdrawing the lowest limit credit card I have. I was assured by the rep who opened this account that it was impossible for her to overdraw it. Well guess what, she managed to do it the very first week. Was only a little over a dollar, but an overdraft is an overdraft is an overdraft. The transaction should have been refused. Thank goodness I caught it in time to xfer money. I cannot even set her up with alerts because her number is not tied to my account (her parents do not want that association), so she spends $1.50 to check her balance when what should really happen is that THEY DO WHAT THEY SAY and thwart any attempt to overdraw. I have written numerous complaints to the customer service department and have to date received ZERO answers. So, if you want customer service from your bank, do business elsewhere because these clowns do not answer a simple online query if they do not feel like it.

TLDR: The Tuttle Group utterly astounded us with an effortless, friendly, speedy, and (believe it…read moreor not) FUN refinance as self-employed individuals when no one else wanted to help. We decided to refinance our home to make some improvements and clear out some high-interest debt. We assumed (erroneously) that our credit union, which had held the current mortgage for 15 years plus our bank accounts and car notes, and a flawless history of payments with them, would have no trouble refinancing us, even though we are now self-employed, and making 3x what we made when they initially approved us. ***WRONG!!!*** After literally MONTHS of asking for documents, changing rates, long delays waiting for info from underwriting, and unanswered questions, we finally abandoned them in search of unconventional financing routes. We looked specifically for brokers in the area who specialize in self-employed people, and found a few. Some seemed a bit "green," some sounded less than friendly or just weren't interested in a smaller refi. But Tatiana with the Tuttle Group was super friendly when she reached out, and helped us arrange a video consultation with Andy Tuttle, the wizard of the Tuttle Group. During the 30 minutes that Andy spoke with us, it was like a crash course in financial planning. Everything he said made so much sense, and we learned more about mortgage refinancing than MONTHS of online research and questions we had asked to our credit union. Andy was up-front and told us that our best option might, indeed, be to go with the offer our credit union had finally extended, and that he might not be able to beat it. Still, he took the time to explain how refinancing in this "terrible Fed-rate" era could be financially advantageous to us, and told us to check once more with our credit union to see their final terms and if they were still locked in. I was astounded that he would take that kind of time to talk to a customer he likely wouldn't get any money from. We decided to proceed with the Tuttle Group, even if they couldn't offer us a better rate, simply because it was a PLEASURE dealing with them, they treated us like family, and everything Andy said made such good sense. Throughout the 2-ish weeks that ensued, their awesome mortgage gal Annie checked in with us regularly to make sure all our questions were answered. They seemingly required FAR less documentation than anyone else. But their stated tactic was to present a perfect, iron-clad package to underwriting up-front, so that there would be an instant approval and there wouldn't be a need for further questions or documentation. (Imagine that???) In what seemed like the blink of an eye, we were approved and ushered through closing. We simply could not be more impressed with the Tuttle Group. We've helped numerous friends and family through the mortgage process, and it's always like being put through a medieval torture device. This is the first time getting approved and closing was a PLEASURE. We NEVER had to contact them for questions, because they were always checking in to make sure all ours were answered. They were super friendly, familiar, informal-yet-professional, and we always felt like they had our backs and had everything under control. We actually looked forward to their calls and emails...imagine that??? Even though were were looking for a silly, small refinance and shouldn't have been worth their time, we felt like we had called up a dear family member who gave us the "hook up" our situation clearly didn't warrant. Astounded. Impressed. Thrilled. Grateful. These are some of the things we feel after our experience with the Tuttle Group. And I have absolutely no doubt your experience will leave you feeling the same.
