I have used energy Center for years for both a fireplace and a hot tub. While the service good they are now charging a fee for debit card use. I understand a credit card fee but a debit card fee makes no sense. They will however take a check. Which makes no sense because a check is much more labor intensive than a debit card transaction. So I've started purchasing all my chemicals online. They seem to have lost interest in the customer in the past couple of years. read more

I've used Energy Center for many years to service fireplaces and my swimming pool. Never had any problems.

We ordered a wood burning stove last year, after careful consideration and deliberation, went with the recommendation of staff. we got excited, did our preparation work and waited. Delayed. manufacturer ran into production problems/ delays. MY complaint..... Lack of communication and follow through. I don't fault the maker, I fault Energy center staff. If they had just given 100%, quiet quitters, I wouldn't have cancelled my order today after getting another 40 day delay. read more

Took my grill into energy center to be serviced. Was told they would order parts and fix the grill if possible. 3 weeks later, no phone calls or updates. I have reached out to staff on numerous occasions and was told how busy they are with other customers. I honestly don't care as I am a customer not getting customer service. After talking to a manager I was told they are simply doing their best and getting ahold of customer service for my particular grill was difficult. Needless to say we are picking up our grill after 4 weeks that is not fixed correctly. Go somewhere else if you need service. read more

We had a pool liner replaced. It didn't turn out like we expected. The techs didn't care to finish doing what they were paid for and cut corners on some parts. When we brought this all the store's attention we were blamed for not saying something as soon as it happened. We were already tired of dealing with them so we weren't in a hurry to have a confrontation so we waited to see the invoice. When that came we brought up all the problems. The guys didn't show up when they were scheduled, after the store had already rescheduled once. We had already taken off work to be home. The foam bottom is lumpy but apparently that's because there isn't enough sand underneath our pool but no one bothered to give us the heads up so we can decide if we still wanted to pay extra for a product that was supposed to make the bottom smooth and padded. Plus they didn't even fit the pieces together well but the manager of the install team didn't see a big deal with that either. When the pillar caps were reinstalled at least half of them were not installed correctly (they have grooves in the top piece that fit to the bottom piece, but some of the pieces were just propped on top of the other) and others not even screwed down. When I asked the tech if he was going to fix that he looked at me like I was stupid until my husband told him to fix them. They lost some of the screws also so we had to go HUNT through all the hardware stores for some that would work but you can't buy some like that, so we did the best we could. We had to deal with at least 2-3 different people at the store and the manager came out to our house to see the work just so we could get a measly $50 back. We spent at least $500 extra to get the foam bottom that didn't turn out correct or even helpful after the sand and seams issue. They sent us a gift card of all things and I called back and made sure they gave us money back because we don't plan on going back. read more

Working staff are nice but the owners seem more interested in your wallet than conducting a professional business. Over charges amount when maintenance or installation is performed. Work completion is of poor quality, and good luck trying to get the owners to call or come to verify the complaint. I have witnessed myself and told of by friends of wrong items being installed, then the company asking for more money to replace their screw up. If you use these guys be prepared to be flogged by their deceptive practices, and unprofessional service. read more

Had a pump go out on my spa so I had them come out to check while I was at work - $90.00. I had told them the model number of the pump and motor. Not a cheap item online - $300.00. The resulting voice mail stated that I had two shorted out pumps and a fried fuse. This was not the condition it was in when I last fired it up. Contact the store for a quote. They said that it would cost $600.00 parts and $480.00 for labor. What they didn't know was that I chose not to do the work myself because of bad knees and a bad back. Well, guess what I did anyway? Took 15 mins. to remove the bad pump (yes, one) 15 mins. to order it online (Spa Depot, awesome) and 15 mins. to re-install. Works perfectly. Ripoff company. read more
