After my hot water heater died, I searched around to find a contractor to replace the heater. I…read morecontacted Constant Home Comfort through their website and got a callback in a few minutes. The salesperson came by the following morning to take a look at what needs to be done. I decided to replace my aging furnace at the same time and the salesperson walked me through the set of rebates that I can get from both Ontario and Enbridge. They also recommended adding attic insulation, which I hadn't done and was much needed. The additional Enbridge rebate pretty much pays for the insulation minus the required energy audit. Constant Home Comfort was able to get local contractors to install the hot water heater and the furnace on the same day. The contractors rolled out a carpet to the basement so that they didn't track dirt into the house and they did a great job of cleaning up after. The contractors fixed some issues with the A/C coil leaking into the furnace. They also taught us how to maintain the new equipment. Constant Home Comfort also took care of the rebates and set up the visit by the energy auditor. They still have to add insulation to the attic, but so far I'm very pleased with their service. Constant Home Comfort takes payment through cheque. They also speak Mandarin.

Promised to send another technician after the first who apparently will still not be able to fix the machine, they are just going to come here and call the manufacturer. We are just supposed to sit here in the scorching heat waiting for them to call the manufacturer who refuses to take their calls. The 24 hr service is an absolute lie. The units they sell are faulty. This company is a scam!

I was provided a quote on an AC unit that they recommended and the price was very competitive and based on the other positive reviews I decided to move ahead with the install. All throughout the process, the owner Eugene was very helpful and thorough in answering any questions that I had. The technicians that came over were also very helpful and answered any questions that I had. The AC unit was just installed today so I haven't had the opportunity to use it much, but based on the experience so far, I trust that I will be in good hands if there are any issues down the road. He contacted about the A/C job asking if I would like a heat pump instead trying to up sell right from the start. I told him the 75 gallon water heater had to be done first. He asked if he can quote. He wouldn't register or do a site visit to see what either job entailed and kept messaging over and over. He kept going over the details so he was trying to estimate and I repeatedly gave him the same info. He asked why the venting supplied by Rheem with the tank was not white PVC and didn't understand. I had to explain to him the venting requirements had changed about 7 years ago on 75 gallon tanks due to higher temperatures. I had to tell him repeatedly I had all the materials to install. I gave him photos of everything to see it was straight forward. Job with less than 8 feet of venting that I was supplying. He said he would complete the job and bill me later and include any incurred expenses . I told him I do not proceed with any job without a contract with upfront firm pricing and any terms.. Then he asked again if they were providing the materials. He had the photo showing all the materials I had and again I told him I had all the materials. He then asked about me to a heat pump and I said if I wanted a heat pump it would have been stated in the job details I told them that them we had a high efficiency 2 stage furnace and my heating costs were under $900.00 per season keeping the thermostat at a constant 75 F. Our house is 3300 sq. ft. and Enbridge shows our house more efficient than 96% of the houses in our area which includes many of them with heat pumps. That was the end of dealing with them for both the water heater and the A/C when I requested a particular York Affinity model and he quoted on a different model. The most frustrating experience I have ever had just for an estimate.

Furnace/ AC were Armstrong - a Lennox company, Napien tankless water heater and Aprilaire humidifier. I had a quote through Costco - high pressure -like timeshare sales, high price even after Costco cards, quotes units too big for my house = more $, more energy, and they force you to prepay 10yrs service plan. I've never had an issue with a furnance/AC until 15yrs. I would never buy a service plan for new equipment. Even my builder units I'm replacing are 22 yrs old (still going) and I only needed $1k in repairs - I signed up for a service plan after 12 yrs expecting breakdowns - ended up spending $4k in premiums to get $1k of parts/service. Pacific quoted right size units, which I verified online on several sites, including Lennox dealers. Everything was completed in 1 day. Prices were excellent - they quote competitive prices without negotiating. Costco started high, gave a little discount and push the costco gift card rebate as a selling feature. The prices are inflated to factor in the gift cards, so you end up paying even more for sales tax on the inflated price. If anyone asks me for a furnace/AC/water heater referral, I would tell them just ask Pacific and not waste time with anyone else.
