The older lady (I'm assuming owner) was so rude today I was totally caught off guard! I grew up in Seal and haven't been back in years so here I am visiting and I figured I'd check out a few local shops I frequented back in the day. When I stopped in the lady (without greeting me at all) snapped at me in the shortest tone to leave my tea drink at the counter. Not thinking any thing of it I replied with "gladly" as I wanted my hands free to shop the racks anyway (I figured people must've spilt their drinks in the shop at some point so no biggy). Then as I'm leaving I see there's a cute cat sleeping on the clothes in a literal Hawaiian button down shirt so I stop to pet him, I kid you not I'm petting the sweet baby and the lady again barks at me that he's napping. Yes lady, I can see that, he was totally unbothered as I pet him. Did I miss the "no petting the chill shop cat while he's napping" sign on my way in? Then I grab my drink I walk to the door, my dad's sitting at the bench right outside the door and I tell him to come check out the cute cat in the Hawaiian shirt. The cat's sleeping five feet from the door on a display shelf and again I walk in with my dad and the lady barks at me so fast "drink on the counter" in the most vile tone!! I'm not one to write reviews often but this lady was just so rude I couldn't believe it. Cute cat, the young girly also working there was nice but dang that elderly lady was such a buzz kill for no reason.. hope she's al least nice to her employees. read more

0/10 employee!! An older woman working the other day was incredibly rude and unprofessional. i had been in the store previously and the original workers were very kind. Started looking, around at first she came up to me and asked if i knew what i was looking for. I thought that was very sweet of her until she started telling me that i couldn't be in the store for too long. She said if i don't know what i'm going to buy i cant be in the store. I said i was sorry and asked if it was going to close because there was another customer in the store. She said yes and walked away, later more customers went in and she had no issue with them. i think this was definitely a racial discrimination issue considering my husband had no issues going in earlier he is fair skinned and everyone else who was fair skinned was fine. I wasn't being rude or dressed inappropriately or even causing a commotion in the store. I hope this doesn't continue to anyone else its unfortunate to see this still to this day read more

Endless Summer - Women's Clothing Near Me - Seal Beach, California

I've been here several times and even purchased clothing for my little girl. They have the cute bathing suits for little girls. And I've been going to this store since my younger years a teenager. The store worker from my previous visit were nice and the shopping experience was pleasant, but this visit really infuriates me. It was a total 360. The owner really need to educate the employees on etiquette and customer service. Customer service is what backs up your selling. Everyone knows that. 1. Smile & greet 2. Mention current Sales & Promos 3. Mention your name 4. offer any assistance I only received half of number one, a greet when I walked in. As soon as I was greeted and walked further into the store with my daughter, I was followed by another employee (Alicia) who just stood and watched as she leaned against the dressing room. Not folding clothes or fixing stuff on the rack to make it seems like she's not watching us. If you know this store then you know the kids section happens to be right in front of the dressing rooms in the back. So Alicia follows us all the way to the back and just stands there. If your store has cameras then you'll see that the video backs up what I'm saying. I knew we were being watched like a hawk, once I saw my daughters face as she turned around to face Alicia. Coming from having to work in the apparel business many years ago, you do need to watch shoplifters. So I understood to a point, but make it less inconspicuous and don't make customers want to leave the store, unwanted and like a criminal. I tried my best to keep calm as I turn back and forth looking at this young girl. I turned around and said, "We're fine you don't need to watch us. We're not gonna steal anything." Her response was, "It's my job." with an attitude and frown. Her response was not, "I know, I'm just doing my job. Do you need assistance with anything?" I then asked for her name and where the boss was and that's when the other worker heard me to look at me. I mentioned to Alicia, "You'll hear from me later. " There is a fine line in treating a person with kindness and treating them like a criminal. There was no kindness in any sense from this girls bone until she said,"Have a good day." when we were leaving. But that was sarcastically said and guessing that I mentioned to the other customer that they'll just watch you like a hawk like you're gonna steal it, Alicia only said the have a good day comment to make it appear she was nice. The turning point though is when 1. You just straight just stand there giving customers a dirty look with an attitude. 2. You do not offer help. 3. If an innocent kid feels uncomfortable just by your stare, then that tells you a lot. I could tell just my kids expression. We've walked and shop at the stores many times along Main Street, have had pleasant conversations and encounters among the people in the community, but we have never been poorly treated as your employee has treated us today. How do you explain to a little girl who knows nothing about stealing & discrimination that people will treat you unfairly when you do not fit the "description" they appeal to and discriminate for what you look like or wear. Though I may not look the part today because we dressed down in flip flops, I can for sure tell you that I make way more than those 2 employees salary put together and can afford to purchase whatever we wanted in the store. Don't judge us by our looks. I was going to purchase stuff, but when I saw the treatment another lady customer received to what we were getting that pissed me off. Granted the other worker was helping the customer (a lady that look to be in her 40s), she was still followed to a minimal extent while also working and putting things away. The other worker, not Alicia, offered her assistance and seemed like she was treating the lady fairly. I would have placed the hat and sweater we were going to purchase away properly, but at that point I didn't care anymore. We can purchase elsewhere. We can spend our money where we can feel appreciated. We were not even out the door and the girl was right behind me getting the sweater and hat. Word of mouth goes a long way. Word of recommendations counts for something. I hope that other customers do not receive the treatment we receive today. I told my kid, don't ever let anyone treat you like your a criminal if you are doing no harm. We were to shop and you need to speak up when being treated poorly. I hope she doesn't ever experience anything close to today's event again. read more

I came in this store because it looked like they sold cute and stylish clothing. They had lots of swimwear options and beach attire, which is 95% of my wardrobe. The clothing was cute and I found lots of stuff that I would purchase for myself. However, I thought a majority of the clothing was overpriced. I also agree with a majority of reviewers here that the staff was hovering over me. Immediately when I walked in, staff members were asking me a million questions. ZERO STARS! ABORT! The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced along with overpriced merchandise. The person who I'm assuming is the owner, an older grumpy looking lady, has gotten our last sale from there. We have tried to give this store a few chances because the kids like to look in there but after every single time I'm always so disgusted with the attitudes not just my family revives from all the employees but every single customer. Our last and final visit the older lady employee yelled at a poor little girl for "being messy" and a poor sweet old lady who had a covered cup of coffee who was just shopping around the store with her family. As a surfer gal, it's hard to find a good "girly" surf shop since most of them are dedicated towards men. But Endless summer is a one stop shop. They have shoes (closed toe and sandals), bathing suits, shorts, dresses, pants, shirts, purses, wallets, earrings, necklaces, EVERYTHING! They have the biggest selection on bathing suits, and you can mix and match tops and bottoms! Reasonable prices and the staff that works there are so friendly!!! The owner is always around and I feel like she knows all the local Seal Beach people! Every once in a while when there are things going on in Seal Beach they have a great sale where things are like half off! It's amazing!!! Rating is based on the rude behavior of the manager. I brought my school age granddaughters into the store and bought them each new flip flops, hoodies, tops, shorts, and swimsuits. We were there for a while, the girls loved trying on clothes and deciding what to select. The sales associate was friendly and helpful. After handing the items to the associate and getting ready to pay, the manager swooped over, frantic that an item was "missing." She demanded that the associate stop everything and find it. We waited patiently while the manager fumed, and the associate searched, and ultimately found, the missing item (fell off hanger). Did the manager really think I would spend almost $500 and then try to steal one item? If not for my granddaughters, I would not have completed my purchase. I love the selection of clothing and the fun of shopping at the beach, but not certain if I'd want to shop there again. read more

I've been going here for my swimsuits since I was about 8..I'm now almost 31. You do the math. So yeah, it's been here a while. This little store is jammed packed with cute suits of all types (although mostly bikinis). They carry mostly the major surf/ swim names...Raisins, Roxy, Volcom, Billabong, etc. And cute t's, sweatshirts, hats, sundresses, sandals, bags.... Yes, the store is really geared for pre-teen through early college age, but I'm still in there buying stuff! I love it way too much...I'm a beach girl afterall. I've been coming to this store for years and it's always a fun time. This is the perfect little spot to come shopping when you're in a real SoCal beach town mood. They have really cute swimsuits, flip flops, tanks, shorts, you name it. My family grew up going to this store back in the day so I went in today and the woman who I'm assuming is the owner is beyond rude! After I was done looking and being monitored the whole time while shopping I decided to leave and was standing outside with my nephew and he was playing in the window and the woman comes out yelling at us saying she had the windows professionally cleaned and that she was watching us and told us to leave. Took my daughter to shop here earlier today everything was fine until we were ready to pay the cashier and her manager wouldn't accept our 100 dollar bill because "their marker didn't make the mark on it". What the hell? I'm pretty sure it wasn't the bill they were rejecting. That made no sense. They then suggested that we pay with other bills or another method of payment. At that point they did not deserve our business. She said that our "bill was too old" it was a new crisp 100 bill and not an older bill either. They have a ton of bikinis and surf-culture clothing. They even know my boyfriend and keep him company while I try on items. I've been shopping here since I was in midle school - so about 12 years. I've always been very pleased with the selection of bathing suits and clothing and sale items. All the girls are nice and helpful, but not annoying or on you the whole time. The only thing you have to watch out for is arriving anywhere near closing time. I went there 15 minutes before the posted closing time and was told that they were closing so I couldn't shop. What? I can totally do some shopping damage in 15 mintues so they could get out on time. read more
