I have had the same guy on each occasion NOT help me. I don't know if he is the owner or an employee, but whatever he is, he obviously has absolutely zero interest in being helpful. I'm not sure that he knows the front from the back end of a bicycle. Perhaps he had just smoked way too much on each occasion I happened to stop by...bad luck for me. He looks like he's crawled out of a very small dark hole. Now I really do not care what somebody looks like, honestly, I don't, but if they're completely useless and have no ability or even a modicum of interest in why they are there or what are they are doing... well you may ask the same question as me. How did you get this job and how did you manage to keep this job? Leads me to think that perhaps he is the owner, otherwise I can't imagine why they haven't fired him yet.. The most recent occasion I was there I was having problems with my brakes going down a hill. it was concerning enough that I thought I better stop this ride and get this looked into ASAP. Cove bikes were not far away, so I thought they'll be able to sort this problem out. The guy spun the wheel a couple of times, squeezed the brake lever, and said "it feels fine to me, can't see what's wrong with it." Honestly, that's all he did. He didn't look at the brakes. He did nothing but spin the wheel and squeeze the brake lever, that's it! I know I just repeated myself, but I can't believe that's all he did. Anyways, I left the shop, and I carefully rode back into Vancouver and I went to BiCi on Adanac. The guy didn't spin the wheel, he didn't squeeze the lever, he went straight to the brakes and had a look. what a concept! Turns out I had worn my brake pads right down. There was nothing left, metal on metal. He diagnosed the problem in five seconds or less! Problem solved and fixed, NO more problem! I really wish I could say something positive about Cove bikes. They've been there for a long time, and I hate to say bad things. Usually, I can find something redeeming to add. I certainly won't be going back there ever again. I'll walk home if I have to first. Maybe selling bikes is what they can do, but obviously repairing bicycles is not on the menu.

Misleading Range Claims The bike was advertised with a 50-100km range, but from the very first ride, it only ever displayed a maximum range of 48km on a full charge. Even after a warranty battery replacement, it never exceeded 70km, still falling well below advertised claims. I fully understand that terrain, assist mode, and weather can affect range, but when a bike is never capable of reaching its advertised maximum under any conditions, that's a problem. Poor Customer Service & Deflection When I reached out to the shop, I was initially met with condescending explanations about how e-bike range works--insinuating that I simply didn't understand power assist mechanics. I had to push repeatedly before they finally agreed to test the bike. Even after a battery replacement, the issue persisted, and I was given even more excuses about speed regulations and riding habits instead of a real solution. No Accountability & Stalling Refunds When I asked about a return, I was told it might be possible if the bike was in like-new condition--only to have the shop later stall the process by requesting an odometer reading that was never recorded at the time of purchase. This felt like a deliberate attempt to push the bike beyond return eligibility rather than a genuine effort to help. Final Dismissal - "Sell It Yourself" After months of back and forth, I was finally told that nothing more could be done, and that I should just sell the bike myself on Facebook Marketplace.

As a history major and as a Vancouver native, his knowledge of the park's history, plants, trees, animals and the indigenous people was vast and interesting. Everyone in our group was engaged and appreciative of all the sights and sounds during our tour. There were even people not on our bike tour who listened in on what Zack had to say. The bikes were outfitted with a pouch to carry wallets, keys, phones, and small cameras and or binoculars. There's also a cage for water bottles. We often stopped to see notable landmarks, sculptures, and monuments. For the nature enthusiasts, Zack showed us blue heron nests, Beaver Lake and forest. Everyone enjoyed learning about the various trees (we even spotted a woodpeckers!) I highly recommend this company for a bike tour of Stanley Park!

The park is situated on a gentle rolling hill with plenty of parking. Lots of dunes, wavy planks, bridges, rocks, etc to ride on/over/around. Picnic tables and washrooms are available too. Some people were doing professional big-air jumps while others were riding kid bikes with streamers - everyone having equal amount of fun.
