Awesome bicycle tour of Stanley Park!…read more I had an amazing 3+ hour bicycle tour with Zack around Stanley Park. As a history major and as a Vancouver native, his knowledge of the park's history, plants, trees, animals and the indigenous people was vast and interesting. Everyone in our group was engaged and appreciative of all the sights and sounds during our tour. There were even people not on our bike tour who listened in on what Zack had to say. The bikes were outfitted with a pouch to carry wallets, keys, phones, and small cameras and or binoculars. There's also a cage for water bottles. We often stopped to see notable landmarks, sculptures, and monuments. For the nature enthusiasts, Zack showed us blue heron nests, Beaver Lake and forest. Everyone enjoyed learning about the various trees (we even spotted a woodpeckers!) I highly recommend this company for a bike tour of Stanley Park!

They had multiple…read moreoptions of bikes (e-bikes, fixed-gear, city bikes and tandem bikes) The staff were friendly and helpful, recommending bikes based on your comfort. Their prices are a bit higher than others around there, but I think the quality of their bikes make up for it. The experience of renting the bike was smooth as you only need to provide a credit card on file before you rent and are only charged after you return the bikes. This removes the hassle of calculating how long you would want to rent the bikes for. They also provide helmets so you don't need to bring anything with you. I'll be sure to stop by there again before summer ends for sure :)

This was our first time on an electric bike and we all enjoyed the easy-to-use assist features that supplemented our manual option. CONS - Jim's chain fell off twice, with a nice guy helping to fix it the first time. After the second time, he used the electric feature to bring the bike back to the barn. +/- - Erin scored a discount on our bikes and Jim's issue was credited. However, the credit card entries took awhile to sort themselves out. PROS - Jim's issue aside, our bikes were top quality, easy to use, and fun to ride. - Bee's Knees staff were very helpful and responsive to our beginner questions and the above bike chain issue. - Stunning scenery and well marked bike paths. - Vancouver takes their bikes very seriously including the practice that traffic laws apply to all. I went in to purchase a back pack for myself today and the cashier had made a strange comment about my nationality- asking how I felt about Trump trying to take over Greenland. Not only was this comment out of pocket and inappropriate, it could've also ended poorly for the cashier who had asked it, if it had been asked to a different person. I wish she would've just scanned the tag and let me pay for my back pack instead of making me feel awkward about asking me about my political beliefs. This is the second strange interaction I've had with this cashier, hopefully 3rd times the charm.

This particular MEC is very shed like. A big box but not a big box because it's not Walmart? Why kid yourself, it is still dehumanizing how you know you are a chicken in a chicken coop. Walking in narrow robotic aisles. Meh to the crappy interior and ugly exterior. Ok. But what about the goods? Was looking for a few items where the online status shows availability but not on display and no salesperson around to ask or their automatic response is "whatever you see is what we've got". A statement that is more of laziness than true. ...Then why does your online presence say otherwise. So many items are either not priced or mispriced...it is frustrating. Again no salesperson to be found. Only cheerful ones are those going on a break or leaving for work. Then they will answer "whatever you see is what we've got". Terrible experience.
