The beach is just right through the sea grapes hedge and the beach is gorgeous! You never find any trash left on the beach and everyone picks up after themselves. People are able to surf out there. Lots of families and lifeguards on duty. Prices are reasonable and you get a veteran discount. On some things, souvenir items, they're a little expensive because this is a tourist town. You can watch the huge cruise ships leave port from the campground. You can ride in a helicopter. There airplane tours. There is always a cool breeze by the temperature of the water and it always is a bit windy, which makes it very pleasant. We will continue to come here year after year as our 30+ camping partners will do and have done for many years. It's peaceful, no one is ever loud or disrespectful. The staff members are very helpful and nice. They have two new gift shops, fully stocked with things you might need. Grocery stores are nearby too. We had lunch at the campground. The food was good, just a bit dry. The deco is great too. And, we were lucky enough to watch an awesome launch of Elon's rockets going up! I'll load a few short videos if possible. Our group of campers highly recommend Jetty Park campground and we will definitely continue to come back.

It looked nice right along side the beach with 2 places to get a bite to eat within walking distance. Most unfortunately, we had to cancel 2 weeks out from our start date. We were disappointed to find out there was a $30 cancelation fee, even 2 weeks out. :-(

OMG. ALL FRIGGING NIGHT!!! it isn't that they rumble by, that would be fine. But they blare the horns all night long! Just as you're doIng off from the last blast. There or is again! -PLANES!!! Low flying until 1 a.m. -Affordable - decent pool and plenty of activities -ADA pier - Wi-Fi -sand fleas (?) because the sites are sandy, our feet are all kinds of bitten up! (sandals) I am a bit curious about the check in process... it's a bit like Fort Knox. There are guards taking hour information behind bullet proof glass, passing papers and exchanges through a tiny slot under the bottom. What kind of area are we in? Not at all a "howdy friend" kind of welcome. Oh, and when a customer asks about moving sites at check in, please don't say it is because your full when you aren't. Especially when we can see the park is 1/2 empty. That is just a lie which leaves an unpleasant interaction in the memory.

They also changed my campground from a way smaller one than what I paid for. I tried to explain to the staff that I needed the larger site that I paid for, as I had a tent and rv one one site (approved by their camp rules), but the staff dismissed my concerns.

It's close by...and I'll bet you didn't even know it!…read more It sounds sort of funny, but I never even knew this place was an actual park until recently. It was within walking distance of one of my friend's houses, and I somehow thought it was part of the neighborhood. This place may be cleverly disguised, but there is a lot to see and do, and this has one of the best inland walking paths in all of Port Ornage. The Good: Walk it off: Honestly the thing I like the most about Spruce Creek is the different walking trails. They go around the park, and even continue over the water, and everything is just beautiful. I used to come here all the time with friends and it was a cool spot to hang out. And if you're going on a mid-afternoon stroll with someone special, you really can't go wrong with this place. The trail is about 3 miles long, but even so, it feels very short. Nice and quiet: Aside from the occasional field trip, this place is almost never crowded. This could, of course, be due to the fact that this place is huge, and even when there are a lot of people you just don't notice them. Spend the day: While there's not really a whole lot to *do* per se, there are picnic tables and playground equipment. If you are trying to spend a nice relaxing day out, Spruce creek is the perfect place The Bad: N/A Spruce creek is a very peaceful and tranquil place to go visit, away from the noise of Daytona Beach. While it might not have as much stuff to do as a lot of the other volusia parks, I count that as a good thing. Overall 8.8/10= Just Chillin'

I don't like that each lot can only fit one vehicle. Although the park does offer alternate parking in the lot right outside the campground. It's an inconvenience if we leave at separate times. Most rv'ers have more than one vehicle. I understand with smaller spaces, it was easier to fit more spots. It would be nice to have some spots with a double parking space (even if there was an extra monthly charge of $25-50). I would say this is more of a retiree RV park. Not many kids around. So it made it harder with having the little ones. I think some people forgot what it was like being a kid. Everyone we came across was nice. But I don't think as understanding when it comes to the noise that comes with the younger kiddos. Almost every RV has a dog.

Good place to use as home base while visiting, very reasonably priced and overall well maintained but.....friendliness and curtesy are out the door with the paid staff (not the live in hosts). Each time we have been here we have needed different arbitrary paperwork. Today we might as well have been at the DMV! Not to mention the staff assuming they are experts on our dog's breed! " I need to see him to determine if you can stay" We even have a DNA test but the minute you say "Mixed Breed" immediately it's aggressive. I'd like to see her credentials!!! What is up with this place? Military OP is NOT the problem, at least not compared to other base campgrounds. I have to admit, I love the area but, I'm glad my son is being transferred, at least no more Patrick Campground Protocol.
