Stayed 1 night. Internet tv was not good. Kept going off, then sound w/no picture. Called desk for maintenance, took 5 or so minutes for him to fix it, but he got it to go on again. Very few regular channels to watch and I'm not paying for movie channels. Went to get a couple of bottles of water by the desk... $5.00 a bottle? Wow! Room was clean, bathroom was clean and plenty of towels. Parking lot spaces that are closest to the building are limited, but others that are farther away from the building are plentiful. Lot could have been designed better. This place was recommended by a local friend. Not sure I'd stay here again. read more

Stayed there recently and the daytime front desk clerk (young, late 20's - early 30's, brown-haired gentleman) was rude and condescending upon check-in. In fact, he's been obnoxious the last few times I've stayed there. Further, I stayed there when there was a little league baseball tournament in the area and staff let the kids run wild throughout the hotel to play tag/knock on random doors, let them play catch in the parking lot next to the vehicles, and play with the business center equipment while the parents sat at the hotel bar and got drunk!! They all should have been jailed for neglect! Their ratings are deplorable for a reason! read more

Celebrating my FIFTY-FIFTH birthday and this is the prequel!! Y'all ALREADY KNOW, if I experienced it, I'm gonna run right on over here and share my experience with YOU! So far I can only tell you that the hotel is beautiful and clean and the staff are most welcoming!! After a long day of travel from our nations capital to Orlando (my mom travelled from the Windy City and met us), we were BEAT! We are cruising out of Port Canaveral on Monday but I wanted a couple of decompression days before hand! NEVERRRR fly in for a cruise the day of! I went back and forth and the back and forth some MORE about where we should stay! I am a Bonvoy member so I already knew that it would be a Marriott property!! MCO airport is a pretty serious drive to Port Canaveral (about an hour) so I had some decisions to make!! Well, first there's Orlando! I don't know. Just soooooo many kiddos with Disney, Universal, Sea World and Epcot being RIGHT THERE and this bright the last week of summer break for them! No thank you! Then there is Cape Canaveral/ Cocoa beach where we are sailing from. I am an "I Dream of Jeannie" Fanatic so nostalgia alone could have won me over. BUT is pretty much all beach and super expensive for that very reason! I was going to bite the bullet for this one (due to the location) but the Cape Canaveral Marriott property didn't have breakfast! I have learned that Marriott breakfast provides the exact sustenance that you need for vacationing and is a MUST HAVE! I found this gem at the end of my search and I am SO HAPPY that I did!! Kyle -amazing - called almost immediately after booking ; as he saw that one of my "guest requests " is an accessible room, (my mother needs this as tubs are a chore to get in and out of) to let me know that all of the accessible rooms were sold out. Ok. I will have to make it work!! He offered me a lower floor which works out quite nicely!! This hotel location is only 23 minutes to the cruise port and is located in a great spot. The property is part of an AMAZING town center (hence the name)!! If there is ANYTHING you need, you will definitely find it here from Walmart to Lululemon and an AMC theater!! Jade - amazing - greeted us (about 10pm) and our drained brains and bodies were relieved by her calming energy! She got us checked in and we were in our rooms with 3-5 minutes!! Jade was relived by Alexis - amazing ;the overnight concierge!! All that to say that so far I've only SLEPT here (Marriott beds are always rejuvenating to me) and so far so great! Breakfast was meh but filling!! I will follow up with another review AFTER my stay! After a long, exhausting drive, I was greeted at the front desk by Caesar. Even though he was stuck working on a holiday (my words not his), he couldn't have been more pleasant, kind, and helpful. He displayed a professionalism we rarely experience anymore. Customer Service was A+. The hotel itself was clean, inviting, and as a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and comfortable. Five stars without hesitation * * * * * This hotel was highly recommended by my cruise forum friend, and I'm very grateful! We were staying two nights pre-cruise in Orlando, and preferred a newer hotel that was clean, comfortable and centrally located. While our original plan was to stay closer to the cruise port, I am so glad we decided to stay here. Due to a delayed flight, we got off to a very late start. After spending the day in Orlando, we arrived at the hotel around 9 pm. We were exhausted and quite frazzled. Jarrod was on duty, and he was super friendly and welcoming. We had gotten lost, and he even drew up a map, explaining the area, and gave us tips on how to locate the hotel for the next day. He also suggested some excellent places to eat (and to avoid)! What a truly amazing guy! Compared to the airport, Cocoa Beach and cruise port areas, I felt Melbourne was more of an upscale suburb. It was quiet, and we felt comfortable walking around late at night. There was an open fire pit in the courtyard with a patio bar that was such a nice touch. If it were not so late, we would have loved to sit around with a drink. We walked across the street to grab a bite to eat and came back to unwind. There are many restaurants, a small plaza and some shopping options in the area. Compared to another Marriott brand hotel where we had a disappointing stay, our room location was super quiet. The lovely flowers, chocolates and card from management were such an amazing gesture! The room was also spotless! I liked the color scheme and modern décor, and thought the placement of the shower controls was brilliant. Normally located below the showerhead, they were off to the side, which makes perfect sense. We also use tea tree oil products at home, so I loved the toiletries. We didn't have time to try their breakfast, but the coffee to go was fresh and hot. The dining area, exercise room, and all other common areas were very well maintained and super clean! You can easily see that management places a great deal of pride in this hotel! Rooms are what you would anticipate from a Mariott property, reasonable and comfortable. My biggest issue with this facility is service. We come for softball regularly - the past two times they have been so difficult and disinterested in helping find a solution that I have pretty much decided I will never return. Service failures are out of control in this facility, excuses provided by the front desk are always "contact corporate" and "Im the only one here." Excuses are not proactive and there is no effort to find a solution - only excuses strategically worded to deflect accountability and obligation to provide the service you'd expect for the price of this facility. There are other competitor facilities close to the surrounding area and I would highly recommend you look at them before taking the risk of booking here. read more

After a horrible overnight in Orlando, we decided to move over to East Coast and find some other things to do for kids. We have had multiple good stays here and decided to try again. This hotel always feels clean, and property is well taken care of outside. It was busy with many guests around the pool on this hot summer day when we arrived. We got checked in without issue and up to room. It was cool and cleaned properly. We still revisited all high touch areas to avoid Covid as possible. The stay went off without issue and happy for the choice. Kids enjoyed the gym in morning. Breakfast was ok, and kids love the Otis Blueberry Muffins. I would forwarn that tub/shower sits up several inches. So you are stepping up, and getting over tub wall when getting in. Going out is more challenging as notable difference to floor and no bar at far end of shower. I would only offer that the hospitality cart is ruining the walls with scrapes everywhere on 3rd floor. Since it's wallpaper paper, they might want to add rubber bumpers or trim piece over damage to make it less obvious. read more

The customer service was disappointing from the start. It felt as though the staff didn't want to engage with or assist guests. First, I requested to add another adult to my room via the Bonvoy app, but I was directed to call customer service instead. I wasn't even given the number until I asked for it. Second, I booked an additional room and called ahead to ask if the rooms could be adjoining. I was told that this couldn't be accommodated until my arrival. Upon checking in, I found that the adjoining room had been given to another guest from our group who arrived well after I made my call. My original room had already been assigned in my app. Clearly, the staff could have accommodated my request but chose not to. Finally, on my last night, I attempted to call the front desk from my room multiple times to request a late checkout. Each time, the phone was picked up, but no one responded. I even said "hello" and waited for response (they later became defensive when I brought this point up through the app and said it was my fault that I couldn't connect via the in room phone). I then messaged via the Bonvoy app, only to have my request denied outright due to 'availability,' which seemed disingenuous considering the app showed plenty of availability for the following night at low rates. After being dismissed with a generic message about my Elite status, I asked to speak to a manager. I was given the property's number to call the next day, only to find out later I was already speaking with the "on-duty" manager, who showed little interest in speaking with me, let alone resolving any issues. Had they been more engaged, I would have been willing to pay for another night, but their dismissiveness and defensiveness made me not want to spend any more money at this property. As a current Gold Elite member soon to reach Platinum, I've had numerous excellent experiences with Marriott properties. Unfortunately, this hotel was far below those expectations. read more

We stayed here four 4 days. Rooms were fine, but housekeeping was as a little sloppy. I had their morning breakfast once and it was not good. Sausage was dry and had no taste. Hot ham, cheese bagels were pre wrapped and were not edible for me. We visit our son in Viera 2-3 times a year. Next trip we don't know if we will stay here again. We stayed at the Fairfield for a long weekend visiting my family, and it was just great. I normally sleep terribly in hotels, and I slept like a baby in this one. There was a little noise the first night (sounded like a kid excited to go to Disney), but I went right back to sleep. The rooms are designed well - the door is about as far away from the bed as it can get. The shower could use a little more pressure, but other than that the bathroom was very nice. I appreciated that they were generous with towels, and the shampoo/conditioner/body wash is actually really nice! I love the wall installation and the larger bottles. Taking off one star for the food/beverage situation. We went to the outdoor bar our first night, and it was fine - a little rowdy, but the seating was nice. The fireplace in June seemed a little unnecessary, but the ambiance was nice. Admittedly, we're cocktail snobs, but the drink situation was pretty bad. I ordered a strawberry mojito, and the bartender pulled out a carton of 'strawberry' and a carton of 'mojito.' He just free-poured both into a shaker with some rum, shook it up, and asked me to taste it and tell him if it was okay. Granted, the drinks are cheap ($6), but a little more thought would have been nice. Breakfast was a similar story - lots of packaged food (I get that we're on the tail end of COVID), but the selections were limited. Terrible experience at this fairly new hotel. We stayed for a weekend in late November. Didn't realize the hotel is next to a major youth sports complex and there were many teams in town to compete. The kids (pre-teen/early teen) were all over the parking lot playing. Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic the kids were outside playing, but get out of the main section of the parking lot! Parents and/or hotel staff need to prevent this situation before someone gets hurt. Once inside, there was a major mixup with our reservation. Hubby did mobile check in so we should have checked in at the desk, showed ID, received our key no problem, and gone to our room. Instead, they did not have our reservation at first. It took two staff to figure out the issue after going in the back to check with the mgr twice. They were both nice, but I guess pretty new and inexperienced. Hubby used points for this visit but we still needed to leave a credit card for incidentals. After 15min or so, we got to leave the crowded lobby full of kids and head up to our room. Upon opening our room door, we are greeted by a woman laying on the bed in her night clothes watching TV. HOW DO YOU GIVE SOMEONE KEYS TO ROOM THAT ALREADY HAS SOMEONE IN IT??? We were so embarrassed, apologized and headed back to the front desk. The two staff conferred with each other again, visited the mgr in the back room again, and tried to straighten this situation out. I honestly don't understand what could be so difficult, especially since we did mobile check in. We did finally ask to see the mgr who did come out. She did not apologize, did not make eye contact, and did not have on a name badge. We did get a room (without anyone else in it) and had an uneventful stay. The kids must have had early games as there was no noise at night and most were gone in the morning. Relaxing at the bar before bed was not a great experience either. Lots of kids, bar was under stocked (poor selection, under-trained bartender) and hard to find a clean seat/table. Fast forward, we were charged for the room AND points were deducted. Still fighting the charges vs points with the hotel two months later. Will not stay at this hotel again. read more

First impression - convenient location off of I95. New hotel in a growing commercial/housing development near a baseball stadium. Good access to lots of restaurants, shops, movie theaters, and the Brevard Zoo. One male hotel employee was incredibly rude and set a bad start to our stay. Other female employees were professional and kind. Nice pool although it's located next to the road. The newly planted Landscaping will grow and will shield some of that view/noise. Room rates are a bit too high in this area but it's new. Lots of girls softball teams staying here because of the close proximity to the softball field. Do NOT stay here. Especially if you are a sports family. We selected this hotel for a recent tournament with USSSA. Our team booked 5 nights not knowing we were going to be harassed by the hotel lobby and hired security for sitting in the lobby after 10. First we were told quiet time was between 10-7. Not that the hotel completely shuts down and you are asked to go to your room. There are no common areas during these hours except outside (which we were happy to use when it wasn't raining.) On top of being asked to go to our room we were told tips were appreciated by the security officer. On the last night when it started raining me and 3 other moms were quietly chatting in the lobby (after hours) while a group of six were quietly playing cards. The group went to bed and at this point the front desk told us we needed to leave. We asked why the other group wasn't asked to leave and the girl started to get loud and said if we wouldn't leave she would remove us from the property. After asking if she was threatening us she decided to call the local police. She told the officers upon arrival that were were much quieter (which wasn't the case) but at this point it was all very comical. After caring so much about lobby security they could care less about monitoring other areas. For example kids were in the gym unattended talk week and one young girl was running on the treadmill and had an accident that knocked her front tooth out. The housekeeping came one time during my stay and only made one bed. I could continue to go one. Needless to say if your a family you aren't welcome in the hotel. Stay somewhere else! read more

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in. We travel often for softball and stay in these types of hotels. This one is by far the worst one we have stayed at. The front desk was less than helpful with literally anything. The beds and pillows are extremely uncomfortable. We asked for extra linen and pillows and you would have thought we asked for a million dollars. The beds and pull out are the most uncomfortable beds. The rooms are cleaned every other day, but yet they don't give enough towels for even one day. The shower gel was empty in the room upon arrival. They don't refill the toilet paper after each guest. We checked in Thursday evening and they didn't clean until Saturday after we called and reminded them to. So we were out of toilet paper, shower gel, and towels way before that. Asking for refills was like you were asking for their first born child. Coffee was out every morning. The breakfast area wasn't kept clean at all. They kept the coffee dispensers out all day but never refilled. We wouldn't stay here again if you paid us. read more

I have stayed here frequently since they opened without ever being disappointed. Everything is brand new so in good working order. They have a small bar area outside but there is also ample dining across the street in an outdoor mall. It's also close to the baseball stadium and hospital if you are in town for either of those. I do wish they had electrical outlets at the bedside (seems like it is usually limited to 2 USB outlets in an alarm clock) but that is an admittedly small detail. I like the fact that the room design does not have those opaque doors that allow light and sound to disturb others who are sleeping (like some of the other new hotels in the brand). read more

While we lived in Viera we watched this hotel being built last year and told ourselves we needed to check out their outside bar. A year later we now live in Virginia, but come down to Florida at least once a quarter. We decided to stay here. The front desk staff was great, wearing their masks, sneeze guard in front of the counter. Check in was fast and efficient. She tells me they aren't doing room cleaning unless we ask for it. All we need to do is put a sign out requesting cleaning. Well this is the only reason I prefer hotels instead of the RV is for the made beds each day. Understand it's COVID, would still like my bed made. Didn't see a sign to put out so I figure that's fate telling to make my own bed and reuse my towels and don't put the maid's in danger for smooth sheets. That's fine, I'll live and the maid will live. We go to the elevators around the corner and notice the beautiful wall done in wood and made to look like daisies. Second floor and we get off to scuffed up walls. I'm thinking the maid carts do this. I know this hotel is barely a year old so I am disappointed in the walls. Get to our room and open the door to a sparsely furnished and un-decorated room, down right ugly. Ok, we're only sleeping here for the next three nights so no big deal. Still, it's cold and unfriendly. We're hungry, but having dinner in 2 hours so I go downstairs to grab snacks out of the "shoppette" they have. Very poorly stocked. The bathroom is nice, except for the poorly fixed wall by the shower. Again, this place is barely a year old and this fix looks like something my great aunt would do with TP and toothpaste. I can hear some kind of vent door flapping through the exhaust fan. We'll just keep the bathroom door shut. Plenty of towels so I don't have to ask for more. No extra blankets because COVID. Hubby likes room cold to sleep so I freeze, not hotel's fault, blame it on COVID. Next day I take a shower, hate the shower head, but the water is hot. However, be careful the shower floor is slippery and no bath mat. Use extra towels for grip. Caution exiting the shower/tub because the shower/tub floor is not level with the bathroom floor by 4-6 inches so down I go. Brush myself off with my extra towels and brush my teeth at the sink and it doesn't drain. Again, new hotel. Hubby takes a shower next and lukewarm water. Does each room have it's own water heater? Three days of this. I let him take a shower first the next day, hot for him, lukewarm for me and 3 small towels on the shower floor now, for grip and we can't get new towels. COVID! Go to check out the last day and no one is around. No big deal, I'll get my receipt on line. You know what else they don't have? Mandatory masks for guests. We're the only ones wearing them. And what about the beautiful outside bar? Crowded, lobby crowded with cheer-leading parents drinking and no masks. Shame on you Marriott, I know it's Florida, but you're a big chain and should care about the comfort and safety of your guests, whether DeSantos is an idiot or not. If you're looking to bring home some extra friends (bed bugs) this is the place for you! We found them all over our room; tv stand, night stand, counter above the fridge, bathroom. So disgusted that we left immediately. And if you want excellent customer service, they'll provide that too- except when it comes to refunding you for your stay that you never had. I usually stay at the always excellent Hampton Inn across town /Wickham Road but due to this hotel being new I made a reservation through Travelocity and gave it a first try ..and last try . First night -TV didn't work. Called front desk to fix. I was told by the front desk" just unplug the wires and re plug to reset the TV". I advised that with about 6 wires I was not comfortable to do so. TV not fixed until next morning. Asked for a fork to be sent up. I was told to come down to front desk. I again requested and they eventually brought one up. I thanked the person. 2nd day - Room still not made up by ~1:15pm so went to front desk and inquired as to why. I also offered a simple solution to have it redone while I was out for next 2.6 hrs. Came back and found bed still undone, and just new towels left ,cleaned shower. Again inquired as to why it still not completely redone and received from the front desk manager "oh it must have been a miscommunication" because apparently this hotel has different levels of room prep and "I didn't ask for the correct level of room prep" yet I had asked for the room to be redone. At this point I asked for financial restitution . None received. 3rd night fine....At checkout I left a message at 830am for a call back from GM. All day / no call back from GM . I called again at ~5pm and was connected after being put on hold 3x by front desk person. When I reached the GM I tried to explain to her of my experience I was met with the following comments from her: She accused me of being a "bully" ( yet no profanity, raised tone ,or verbal arguments were made by me. I was simply bringing the problems I experienced to the attention of management ). The GM didn't like that I asked for a fork to be sent to my room. The GM didn't like that I used the term "African American female " when I used it as a descriptive to identify one woman I talked with. GM advised "This is not the right hotel for you" .....GM identified herself as "Sharon Parker(SP?) yet when I received the survey the GM was Melinda Petit- Homme. ???? Was someone posing as the GM to intercept negative comments? When I wrote in to Marriott with this narrative I was advised "That they will be forwarding this information to senior management at this hotel"-- yet much of the dissatisfaction came from management at this hotel. Does anyone really think they will police themselves? Advice- STAY AWAY and go to Hampton Inn. This Fairfield Inn hotel in Viera off Lake Andrew Blvd offers disgusting customer service -- and some of it is coming right from management . read more

Let me start by saying I travel for a living so I stay in a lot of hotels, mainly Marriott properties frequently and Used to stay here at least once a month. I had a mixup in a reservation a while back and had the night before I was there booked by accident. As a Titanium Elite member you are able to cancel even at the last minute, however they charged me full rate, even though I wasn't there and didn't stay there. If the hotel was full and it cost them not being able to book the room, I wouldn't have said a word, however the place was empty. When I asked to speak to the manager, they said there was nothing they could do. I was disappointed even when calling Marriott that even they couldn't convince the GM to refund my money! After about the 5th call to Marriott, they finally refunded half my money and gave me a few points to make me go away. I spent over $20k in Marriott properties last year and the GM was ok loosing my business forever over $100. I've stayed in other hotels in the area 10 times since and just booked a Hilton property nicer, cheaper, and closer to my destination. Someone needs to teach this GM and staff about customer loyalty and customer service!! read more

The accommodations and the location are both great they get a five. However the associates that run the establishment here, particularly Shanice, I would have to give her a zero. On the other hand the associate Anthony redeemed the score with a five as he was excellent; so I'm giving an average of 2.5 which rounds to three. I have never in over my 60 years of life encountered someone so rude as Shanice in any hotel anywhere in the world. Entering just before midnight, I had the documentation in my hand that the room was reserved and paid for. Also it was paid for with my credit card, which I had in my hand. As well as my license which has the same last name and address as my husband of over 40 years. To that Shanice sarcastically remarked congratulations on that but it doesn't matter because your name is not on the reservation. You cannot have this room. I said fine cancel that reservation, and I'll make a new one right now. Shanice would not allow me to cancel the reservation, nor would she allow my husband to cancel the reservation. Combine this with The fact that I called previously at 1:00 that same afternoon stating I would be checking in late due to a softball tournament for my 12-year-old granddaughter, and I was told no problem. Why didn't they ask me my name at that time and confirm the room? This would have given me plenty of time to ask my husband to clear this up with apartments.com...So here I am at midnight with a 12-year-old in the rain and no room. Shanice offered no assistance whatsoever. We do travel quite often, and I've never had an issue with a Fairfield or any other Marriott for that matter. So I would consider using another Marriott, but I would never come to this hotel again. We have seven grandchildren so I'm sure there will be many opportunities for me to come to this area, but we will always go to a different hotel. I'm sure Shanice is rude to other people besides me, because I certainly did not provoke her. That is just her natural attitude. She should not be in customer service of any kind. No amount of training would correct her attitude, people are either courteous or they are not. People either care or they don't. read more

This is my favorite hotel in the area! Location was great, staff friendly and make great recommendations of dining and hair salon. Superior cleanliness! Bartender was very friendly and helped a long business trip go by quickly! I travel a lot and this place made it like a vacation! read more
