Beautiful Park with friendly people. I visited during a craft fair they were having. It was so nice with lots of different vendors. One vendor even had his goats to show how he makes his goat milk products. Parking was plentiful. We had a great time, and will definitely return. read more

This park is very popular! I feel like different events are going on here each week. There is a cute little park for the kids to play, there is a lot of different horseshoe areas, volleyball nets, ponds, and covered shelter areas. I've seen a lot of people go there for parties. They even had a bounce house delivered there. read more

If nothing else, at least beautify the entrance with some colorful foliage. Right now, it's just shrubs and dirt with a dated sign. It would be great to have an amphitheater and green lawn where folks could come to listen to the Brevard Symphony for example. I don't understand why any stars more than 2 in reviews. There is no colorful shrubs or plans ANYWHERE-- just scrub brush and dirt. And the picnic tables are usually filthy. Please go visit Riverview Park in Sebastian, for example. Has a very nice concrete path up to the front and then into the double-gated entry area. There are multiple water facilities as well as poop bag dispensers and trash cans. What a nice park. The reviews said the rangers were not so nice, but the ranger we bumped into looked to be on his lunch break, but he was so nice to help us with directions. We came for the Blueberry Festival and it was so nice to see everyone getting back to normal. It was such a nice day outside, too. The land is huge and there's a big pavilion to hold events. We came to Wickham Park to experience the Brevard Renaissance Fair at the end of January 2021. I have not been to a Renaissance event for a while and looked forward to seeing what they had to offer. The 391-acre park is a perfect location for an event of this grandeur. Covid-19 measures are in place; however, there is plenty of room to move about and away from crowds to take a mask break. Be sure to review the event program provided upon entry. The program includes the storyline for the event (The King is Here), the event theme (changes each weekend: Pirate, Fantasy, Hero's realm, and Celtic), times and places to see shows (glassblowing, fighting, forging, juggling, etc.), the vendor list (glassware, clothing, leather, metalwork, etc.), where to find ATM's, the information booth, and lost & found. Ticket prices: - Pub Crawl (separate from admission): $35 - Adult: $23 - Student: $20 - Child: $17 - Leashed Pet: $12 - Children under 4: Free Activity and entertainment are endless as long as you can forget the outside world for a while and just enjoy the festivities. We loved strolling through the shops to admire the well-made clothing and jewelry. I consider many of the items for purchase affordably priced; however, most of the Renaissance-themed clothing, boots, and jackets were way out of my price range (hundreds of dollars). Regardless, I can appreciate the quality of materials needed to create these beautiful products. There is a beer & wine vendor with a minimal selection of adult beverages ranging from $6 to $9. When you're ready for a snack, there is a picnic area where pizza, subs, scotch eggs, shepherd's pie, fish-n-chips, soft drinks, ice cream, burgers, corn dogs, and more can be purchased. Our favorite festivities included: Fire Whips and Swords, The CRAIC show, Valkyrik, The Lady Victoria, Johnny Phoenix, Knightwings, and the Joust. We also had a blast hanging out with the camel, goats, monkey, and boar at the petting zoo. We had a blast at this event! The staff and vendors evoke an authentic environment that encourages guests to participate in the festivities. Renaissance lovers travel from near and far to be part of this event, and many of them are dressed to the Renaissance nines, which makes for great photo ops. If you have never given the Brevard Renaissance fair a chance, definitely plan to stop in to check it out next season. It makes for a fun day out with friends and family, plus it's a beautiful time of year to be outside in Florida. read more

I was at this park yesterday checking it out for an event I'm doing I'm March of 2022. The park ranger, John, is a great guy, also a Retired Navy Veteran.... John showed me the camping area and the grounds. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the park. Plenty of facilities and power for the event. There's an Amphitheater with a stage large enough to hold a full scale concert. Can't wait to go back in a few months to start The planning for the event. read more

Whenever I travel to a main city - let's say Atlanta (Think Piedmont Park), or pretty much any other major city on the East Coast, I make a point to spend time in at least one beautiful park. Then I come home to Melbourne.... To me, Wickham Park offers no "beauty of nature" as there is no green lawn upon which to picnic -- just rotting, stained and sticky (YUK!) old wooden tables. There is no baseball field, no pool, no gardens of any kind .... It offers ZERO appeal compared to any "real park." Just lots of dirt and dried out shrubbery. Granted, they have horseshoes, dog park, an equestrian area and a "fishing pond..." But how about just one spacious green lawn area where folks can spread a blanked for a picnic, listen to music, read... MAYBE even admire some blooming shrubs and / or flowers?? Something with some color! I know others will "beat me up" online for my comments. But take a picture of a really well-maintained park that has great amenities (beside a dog park --and a fairly run down "community center") and put it next to the best shot of Wickham Park you can find. That will make my case. Are there any plans within the next five years to improve Wickham Park -- especially considering how often Melbourne is in the national news as a "top spot for retirement and growth?" I know finances play a major role -- and that MANY folks think the park is fine as is -- and that they definitely don't want to pay for any improvements. But there are also MANY like me who think the park's amazing potential is being wasted. I hope that will not remain the case for too many more years. That would be a shame. read more

This is a nice park and they host many events here all year long. They have plenty of wide open spaces so you do not feel at all hemmed n here. We missed the renaissance fair but made it for the travelling wall ride. That was a great event, riding from Cocoa down to the park. Dog park has 2 separate sections for small and large dogs. Has chairs for the owners, a toy box and water bowl .right outside the dog park is a pet washing station and a paved walking path that goes around the park. The paved walking trail around the park is 1.5 miles, its nice and clean, has doggy bag stations and plenty of trash cans along the way. On the east side of the park there are additional paths that lead into natural trails. These paths are not paved. Only thing i dont like is there are no maps to keep you on the the trail, considering the trail has alot of other trails that lead to a camp site, natural trails and so on. read more

I love this park for the mountain bike/one wheel trails. So much fun and easy to ride, for beginners mostly. There's a few jumps thrown in. Also a 5k course. Etc. I don't really like the Xmas lights drive thru thing. All of the lights seem like they're 30 to 50 years old, they need to update it with some LEDs and stuff it's really sad but still the vibe is OK with live music and food trucks some nights read more

We were not very happy with this campground. We were in C. There was nothing but sand. There was broken glass in the road. No space or trees between campsites. The only trees were very tall pines so no privacy. Camp ground C had no showers so you had to go to B to take a shower. The managers were gruff and not very accommodating. I would not stay there again. read more

This is a great park and campsite. Pet friendly, has multiple areas and activities for dogs. The park has a swimming lake, horseshoes, walking trails, more picnic tables than I've seen, and plenty of shade. The campsite is just over $20 per night and also have weekly rates. I haven't personally camped here, but it has everything from showers to laundry. The campgrounds of course has all the basic amenities as well. read more

Regular park: GREAT!! DOG PARK: TERRIBLE! Most of the park is beautiful! People are always friendly and smiling - it is a fun place to go and walk around or have a picnic. However, the dog park is awful! It's true, the park is separated into two areas, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. There is not much shade in either area and most of the grass has been torn up. I understand that dogs run and rip it up, but there has never been maintenance there (that I've seen). When it rains the ground gets super muddy. We've gone there four times now and each time I've had to give my pup a very thorough bath to get all of the dirt out of her fur! There is water there for the pups to play in, which is nice on a hot day. Note: I am definitely an overly-protective dog owner - just take what I say next with a grain of salt. I've never had a good experience with the other dogs. My pup is just above 40 pounds, and she is rather tiny compared to most dogs in the large dog park. I know dogs play rough, but there have been many times when she has been running away, tail between her legs and the other dogs have been biting her and actually drawing blood. The other dog owners just sit on their phones while their dogs beat up my pup and they do nothing! People are never engaged with their dogs here, they just sit by and let their dogs go free. Perhaps I've just had a bad experience, but we will not be going back for a long time. You want a good dog park - go to Canova Beach Park. Everyone and their dogs are always friendly there. read more

Paved sidewalk, as well as dirt trails, playgrounds and separate dog parks for large or small dogs . Kept clean and litter free. This is definitely the best part we have been to in Melbourne. Their dog park is awesome. There are big turtles that live in holes that are cool. You can also Camp here and take showers and do laundry. The only thing that bothers me is the animal control people. read more

Great park for a walk and to relax. I frequently visit the dog park with my puppy. A vast majority of the people at the dog park are very nice. There are, however, occasionally a few individuals with dogs that are over protective and over dominating. I was there recently when one attacked another and Drew blood. The owner rather than trying to settle the situation just watched and said that the person who's dog was attacked should have had better control. Disappointing and scary but I believe it is a rare event. read more

DOG PARK: This is hands down our favorite dog park in the area! (Melbourne, Palm Bay, Melbourne Beach) There's a great, huge fenced in area for smaller breed dogs like our Pom-chi...seems to be somewhere around 30 pounds or less, give or take a few. There are plenty of water bowls around, easy access to water, and even a kiddie pool, (for the dogs that like it), to play in. All of the people there have always been very friendly. Trooper has a blast every time we take him! Whenever we get out his "going to the park" harness, he goes nuts with excitement! There are plenty of chairs and benches for the park's two legged visitors, as well as a lot of shade. There's also a large separate fenced in area for the big dogs to play. read more

This is our third year at Wickham. We feel truly blessed to have unintentionally found this park. After finding ourselves in a dump of a park in Fort Myers (don't trust Good Sam's ratings or website photos) we decided we'd rather boondock than be subjected to living at that place) we began our coastal exploration of Florida. Finding our dogs in need of a dog park led us to Wickham and we were delighted to find it also had sites for motorhomes. The first year, they fit us in here and there, but by this year, we have our own great site for the entire five months of our stay. There are ponds (some for swimming and others for fishing) and beautiful landscaping throughout. Areas for clubs....horseshoes, volleyball, disc-golf, archery, model airplanes and sailboats. There is an equestrian center and enough little gray squirrels to entertain the most hyper of dogs from his lead. The Rangers have always been super helpful, adding mulch to the dog park and and even allowed my husband to make upgrades to it as well in the form of a watering station and doggy pool. The only rude people are occasionally those civilians in charge of clearing the park for Christmas lighting, but campers don't have to pay to see the lovely lights so that's an ok trade. Only six miles to the Atlantic and Canova dog beach. Great price and Internet, electricity, and water all included. Wickham is perfect for us. read more

As a full time RVer we've stayed in a LOT of different campgrounds. We always cross our fingers and hope for the best. Wickham Park really surprised us! We stayed during the summer months so the park was VERY quiet with maybe only 6 other RVs in the park with us at one time. A lot of the sites have BEAUTIFUL oak trees shading your rig, plus the sites are well spaced out. The only reason I'm not giving them a five star rating is because they don't have sewer at the sites (you have to drive to dump). The bathrooms are Air conditioned(!) and are cleaned everyday - the showers also have super HOT water! (This is a rarity at campgrounds for some reason.) The entire park is well-kept and beautiful! Today, I took my 8 month old Basset Hound to the dog park at Wickham Park for the first time. My boyfriend & I were really pleasantly surprised. The dog side of the Wickham Park was broken up into 2 sections (under 25lbs & over 25lbs). We were in the over 25lbs section. There was so much space for the dogs to run around. The park had 2 baby pools for the dogs to cool off in, 3 water fountains, a hose to fill the pools, chairs & benches for the humans, a bathing section to wash your dog, and plenty of shade. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, around other dog people to relax and let my dog play. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but needless to say I will definitely be bringing my dog back often. read more

Great park ! Very helpful staff. We were on bicycles and touring FL. We needed a tent site. We were placed in the " rustic" area. There were no picnic tables. The staff member kindly got a truck and found us a big table and brought it to our site. WOW !! Service with a smile. The bathrooms are VERY clean. Would definitely stay here again. read more
