His boat was clean and no less than five minutes into our hour and a half long cruise we saw dolphins. Captain Kirby was informative, funny and gave us a great restaurant recommendation (see my review on Riverside Cafe). His vast knowledge of the area and waterways made for a relaxing and stress free cruise. The cruise was private and his boat offers a bathroom, both of which are not common with other local boat tours. We will book another cruise next time we are in the area!

Because the tour is small, no more than 6 passengers, we were able to follow dolphins and other aquatic animals for most of the 2 hours. We also saw the inlet. All around amazing!!…read more I don't have enough good things to say about Ultimate Dive. Ken and Laura are not only very nice people, but also very helpful and knowledgeable about diving. My husband and I were looking to go on a dive trip for our honeymoon. My heart was set on Indonesia as I didn't want to go some where "touristy" like the Caribbean, but at the time we were looking to go, there was a bomb scare in the area, which made us look for another destination. Ken suggested Matangi in Figi and I am so glad that he did. It was absolutely perfect. We were able to get the cultural non-touristy experience we were looking for as the Fijian people are so welcoming and offer a variety of activities where you can visit and spend time with them in their local villages. We also had amazing diving with a really great guide from the resort and wonderful relaxation and pampering that comes with being on your honeymoon. Ken was so easy to deal with when setting up the trip. He gave us lot of options for when we wanted to go and suggestions on the best ways to travel - he even booked us a day room when we had a long lay over between flights, which again ended up being a great suggestion. We were repeat customers and had always had positive experiences until this visit…read more On Sunday, while celebrating my birthday, my boyfriend rented two jet skis and a boat. While anchoring, a strong current caused the anchor line to become caught in the engine. We immediately contacted Salty's, and a staff member came out and instructed us to cut the line, which we did. After returning, our card was charged $331 for an anchor replacement without prior authorization. I understand the need to recover costs when equipment is damaged; however, charging full retail replacement pricing -- especially at an inflated rate -- does not feel fair or standard. Replacement charges are typically based on actual cost, not retail markup. As a local resident familiar with purchasing and pricing, this was disappointing, especially since we followed staff instructions and acted in good faith. This review reflects our honest experience. If Salty's is willing to adjust the anchor charge to a fair amount based on true replacement cost, I would welcome that conversation. Until then, this experience has unfortunately changed how we feel about returning. In addition, while I appreciate that additional items were not charged, fairness is based on what was charged, not what wasn't. Referencing potential or hypothetical damages does not change the concern around the pricing applied. I stand by my review as written, as it accurately reflects my experience.

Living in Florida for as long as I can remember - 40 plus years - I was never the type that went…read morefishing. It wasn't something I did as a kid and it wasn't something I did growing older. My father never had an interest in it and I guess that transferred to me as an adult. Now I have young kids and my 8 year-old son has a desire to fish. It wasn't something I suggested, he requested it all on his own. We've been fishing a few times since moving to Vero Beach. It's all been pier fishing but my son wanted more. Researching the subject, I met Captain Tim through mutual friends online. An interesting person with years of experience. Meeting Captain Tim at Veterans Memorial Island Sanctuary, my friend Eli joined my son and me for a day of fishing. I wanted something "local" or "inland" meaning I wasn't interested in ocean fishing - I just wanted to make my son happy and not "rock the boat" as they say. And since Eli was the individual who took us pier fishing, my son wanted to return the favor by taking him out. Safety checks and instructions and we were off for a day on the Indian River Lagoon. Captain Tim provided a few options and we took his suggestion at heading south toward Fort Pierce. Along the way, Tim explained the various landmarks. He seemed very knowledgeable of the area and its history. Fish were light on our particular experience - we caught enough to make two sandwiches and a bowl of soup - but it was a great experience. A number of fish caught didn't meet the minimum size requirements and had to be thrown back in the water. With that said, it wasn't about the size of the fish, but the number of fish actually caught. We caught three times as many as we kept. Six hours on the boat and we were back at Memorial Island. Captain Tim cleaned all of the fish and bagged them for us. From start to finish, all that was required was to show up at the pier and jump on the boat. Friendly, knowledgeable and polite. Captain Tim provided a great experience. Also have a navigation gps system so you can track where you are around the chanel. Have rented a few times from propel and always have a positive experience! James is amazing! First off let's talk about the jet skis - I'm pretty sure they are brand new!…read more That's how well he takes care of them! They are luxury x 100. We were also concerned about only being on the Intercoastal since south Florida only has narrow waterways. Vero ... not the case!!! HUGE waterways!! James gave us a thorough tutorial on operation and safety of the watercraft and told us where a great island was nearby! We reserved one hours and ended up keeping the half day!! The Bluetooth works amazing and Garmin GPS makes it easy to find your way back!!! We saw dolphins, stingrays, manatees and soooo many fish!!! We cannot wait to go back and do a full day!!! Only suggestion is get the $10 water pack for you phone (we did) and the cooler with ice because you will need it when you stop on island!!
