I recycle at encore I have never got a bad deal at encores when I was running my plumbing company I sold a bunch there mat not of got the very top dollar but it was fair price and to go to Dallas was ridiculous for a few penny encore is fair to everyone I have sent there way. read more

I emailed ahead about week for a price on old gutters that I washed by hand and cut out the puttied corners. They said 85 cents a pound. A few days later I got only 70 cents a pound with no explanation . It was hard for me to believe that just in a few days it dropped 15 cents. Also I actually didn't know what I was doing. The weight master just told to around to the corner. After wandering around I saw a pile of gutters and figured that I was to help myself to unload the stuff. read more

Pays the best out of the other recycling companys in the metroplex. Organized for a recycling company. Depends on what day, what time of day you go and/or the mood of emplyee whether you get a helpful, pleasant person or not to deal with. But when they are closed THEY ARE CLOSED! Even thou you are inside the gate unloading at one area doesnt mean you can go to the other area to turn stuff in & unload. I was finishing up out in the center area. The gentleman told me that I could still go to the other & when I backed up to the garage door area they told me that they were closed to come back tomorrow & pulled the garage door down in my face. It wasnt several minutes after close, its was only 5-6 minutes that they had closed the gate. I had to take that little bit of stuff back home. Its the attitude of the employees that give the place lower rating. It wasnt that I wheeled in after close or had an 18 wheeler full of stuff. I was in a short bed truck & I was already in the yard unloading somewhere else. I still go there & refer them to others BUT you get the same respect you give me from now on. read more

It was pretty busy this morning as usual. I took aluminum cans and I was in and out in 20 minutes. It is a small area but they control the traffic very well and get you into an unloading bay in the order that you arrived. Everybody is nice and they work quickly. read more

Staff is very informative and upbeat. The men outside are very helpful with unloading and willing to answer all of my questions. I've been coming here for a few years now and haven't found another recycling yard quite like Encore. Definitely recommend. read more

My mom and i don't get paid till friday so we decided to come out here and recycle. The line was long but that wasn't the problem. When we unloaded the things, Daniel (the worker) was very rude. My mom took the paper daniel gave us and gave it to the lady in the front, she was so rude and racist. She snatched the paper and voided it because my mom didn't have her government id with her. My mom said she would come get me since i do have my id with me. She said "fine." i come in, she snatched my ID, and we followed the procedure. She was then taking out the money and after she counted it, she threw it through the little whole. Very unpleasant experience, never going back there. We are legal Mexicans, so why was she still being racist and rude? Don't recommended this place at all. read more

The employees here were very friendly and I had every reason to recommend this place. Unfortunately after checkout, I realized they paid me 25% less a pound less than what the gentleman at the weigh station said they would pay. The difference was maybe only $5 but when the manager came out to ask if there was an issue, I explained that before weighing and fully unloading I was given one rate and after I emptied the contents things changed. I gave him a chance to honor the quote explaining that my only recourse was to reload 1000# of metal back in my truck (which I didn't wish to do) or take their bait and switch and have a negative experience. He seemed ok with the 2nd option so I figured I should give other Yelp users the heads up. At least one competitor is literally next door if you want options. read more

New at recycling. Went to encore recyclers for the first time and the place was much cleaner than I would expect for this kind of operation. Friendly service, in and out fast and quick cash. I recommend them for anyone looking to make extra cash off of scrap metal. read more

I have been going here for quite some time and today their customer service ppl screwed up. Took in 44 pounds of brass and the girl enters 14 pounds instead. Sent an email immediately to try to get a resolve of the issue. Surprisingly, I got an email letting me know that they will look in to the issue Monday. Come Monday, early afternoon, got another email letting me know that the girl had entered the amount in incorrectly and to come by so it could be corrected. Wow....pleasantly surprised. read more

Not very intuitive as to what to do or where to go. Even when asking for for directions it was not too clear so just follow others and finally figured out how it worked. The most helpful person was the weigh station attendant. They also don't pay that great but if you want to get rid of stuff quickly this is the place to drop off at. read more

I have been coming here for over 15 years and they have been pretty honest, but as of today I will no longer give them the time of day I was just cheated over 200lbs if type 1 copper and they refused to make it right so be careful check the scales before they change them. read more
