I kept that in mind. It's amusing to me that I have spent a ton of time at Farm Boy that I never noticed The Beat Goes On. It's across from Farm Boy. One day, I went into Farm Boy and came out without buying a thing. It shocked me. Perhaps I have spent so much time there that I have everything that I need. I left my car parked in a decent spot in front of the supermarket and walked over to The Beat Goes On. This store sells new and used CDs, DVDs, cassettes, records, and video games. There are also turntables and move. I would say that there is more used merchandise. I absolutely love going to such music stores. I can easily spend an hour there, which is exactly what I did. I got some nice used CDs at cheap prices. There was an Erasure CD that I didn't have in my collection. It was mine for $3. I also got a couple of solo CD albums by Dave Gahan, the lead singer of Depeche Mode. I picked up a couple of records (vinyl to the younger crowd). Pet Shop Boys released Super a couple of years ago. The record version of this album was 50% off. Without any hesitation, I snatched it up. I also got a used Dirty Dancing record for $2. I am late to the Dirty Dancing bandwagon. Last year, I watched the movie for the first time on a flight back to Toronto from Shanghai. I have always loved the music from the movie, but never got the album until now! The used collection of records is impressive here. They are on the floor, so you may want to stretch now and again while you flip through everything. The man at the counter fetching my CDs was friendly and personable. I had a wonderful experience here. I also enjoyed all the Beatles music being played while I was browsing. He was wearing a Beatles shirt, too. I will be coming back here again when I'm in this vicinity. (267)

Two books caught my attention and I went into the store to pay for them. After I payed for them, I decided to look around the store. it has a lovely vibe to it and today there were many people browsing and children sitting on the floor reading. I returned to the clerk and asked if they had a selection of books in other languages and she took me to where they were. I ended up buying 12 children's books in the German language. They almost looked new and the price was very reasonable. Since I had walked downtown and couldn't carry all of these books I asked if they could hold them while I got my car. When I returned there were some new titles on the table outside the store and another title caught my eye. I went into the store to collect my books and pay for the one I had just selected. the owner, Charles, asked how he could help and I told him I wanted to purchase the book. Hr looked at me with my stash of books, took one look at the book in my hand and said I could just take it. I insisted on paying for it, but he would have none of it. Will I go back, and recommend this bookstore to others? Of course! The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and the atmosphere in the store is very cozy and welcoming. Parking can be a problem in downtown Kitchener on a busy day. But if you are willing to walk a few blocks, you can always find free parking on some side streets or in Victoria Park. And if you ask the staff, they even have some tips on where to park, if you buy too many books to carry a distance back to your car. Stopping by the store will be worth your while.

They are now located on King Street across from the museum. I remember looking for a relatively rare hardcover once and they knew exactly where to find it and they had it in stock. Their selection is excellent and I have always found something interesting just browsing the shelves here. If I get stuck, the staff here has always been helpful and friendly. Congratulations on 25 years, I hope you have many more.

I was excited to visit the store before seeing an afternoon movie. When you first open the blue doors, the decor is pleasing to the eye. It's cozy. I walked immediately to the new books display and started reading Leonard Cohen's collection of poems. I love the electronics section, which has everything from Fitbit trackers to record players. Naturally, there are plenty of Kobo readers. I held my composure and did not buy another to add to my mini collection of two. The cookbooks section is divine. One of my favourite restaurants that I frequented a ton in Winnipeg, earls, has its own cookbook. I want it so badly! I love this Indigo. It's now my favourite one. There are plenty of areas where you can sit down and read. I love the knitted mittens and scarves that you can buy. The paper shop section screams my name, as I have a thing for picking out the most thoughtful card that I can to friends and family members. It's such an inviting place to spend some time. Starbucks has been open for a while here. I like that the designers knocked a wall down, so you can freely walk between Indigo and Starbucks. I will need to come back and get the panda personal humidifier, simply because it's so stinking cute! (356)

I don't know if it was peaceful however because I didn't go there, but there were a couple people who made it seem peaceful enough.
