My first encounter with Enclosures Architects was seeing color swatches painted on my friend's wall in her home during remodeling. I was taken by the unique color palette and asked my friend if I could contact her architect for some help on my home in the West Hollywood hills. I met Tash Rahbar, partner at Enclosures Architects, at my home. She took time to notice the light and how it came into each room; the furnishings and style. From that, Tash selected unique colors for my walls, giving them texture with lime paint. As the light changed the walls took on different moods -- it was magical!
A few years later, moving into another home that had promise but was ergonomically incorrect in its design, Tash and her partner Scott, was my first call. I gave my vision and that budget was a consideration. They listened. With that in mind, she and Scott created my vision (& even blew past it) opening walls, expanding windows (to frame exterior views), thinking of airflow, bringing unused exterior footage inside, allowing for a beautiful entry & staircase. Tash asked how I moved in the kitchen and put appliances and cabinetry in perfect places. Instead of cabinets on walls, they designed wide and deep drawers. And, then there was the wall color. A soft, sunny yellow contrast along one wall, while a sueded white on the others creates more light, freshness, and a pop of color. The cabinetry in the kitchen is a French gray-blue color and is the most remarked-about aspect of the room. A quirky situation gave way to a perfect solution. I wanted to hang a chandelier in the dining area, however, the ceiling was too low -- a circular dome, the same size as the dining table, pushed up into the attic, was the solution. Enclosures Architects functions as your partner, they imagine the movement as you live in your space & the light. They're meticulous, conscious of costs, confident in detail, and encourage to take risks with color, texture, and positioning. read more
