I've had to wait around 10-15 minutes on weekdays before getting seated, so weekends are surely even busier. Hey, the food and overall experience make it worth the wait. Taking a break from work, I headed to the pool deck, which was small but sufficient and had comfortable chairs to sun in. I remembered an amazing redfish dish from Ostra, enjoyed so many years ago... I really wanted to eat at Ostra again this visit, because I saw redfish on the menu and wondered if it was really as good as my memory of it. I was initially bummed that Ostra was closed for a private event during my stay, BUT my disappointment quickly turned to excitement when I saw the same dish offered on the room service menu. YES!! It was as good if not better than my memory of it! Finally and importantly, the individuals working in valet, front desk, and room service were so service driven and friendly! Overall, I cannot wait to stay at the Mokara again in the hopefully, not so distant future!

She is simply the best. Comfort, the level comfort here is the best. The AC blows ice cold, the beds are super comfy. Everything they do here is to make your stay perfectly the best. They have fresh fruit and cookies and water scattered throughout the building. What a nice touch. The king premium room is super spacious and very nice. The spa, area is amazing. I really enjoyed the Jacuzzi, sauna and the relaxation room. Followed by the Massage. Everything is perfect here. I haven't had one issue at this hotel. While it checked every birthday venue box, there were a few draw backs. From the beginning the communication and booking of the party seemed a bit unorganized. We were in direct communication with the owner (Amanda) who told us directly she had a time slot available for 3:30-5:30 . While we believed we were "booked" after paying the $100 deposit we were later informed it had been double booked because we "didn't fill out the reservation form" and had lost our slot. We thought that was odd given the deposit was paid and had no idea the registration form was not filled out completely. So be sure to fill out your registration forms! (and follow up on it) We told Amanda we understood and took her offer to hold our party at an earlier time (11:30-1:30) Each party comes with a party "hostess" although it wasn't clear what she was there for aside from organizing the nerf gun activity. She did not take the initiative to run/or organize anything aside from that and asked if we would chase around the (already disbursed) kids to place wristbands on their arms. Another thing I found odd, but maybe that is the norm in these types of event venues. The inside is kind of messy and definitely looks better for a party with some decorations which was another issue since you're only given a short amount of time prior to party start time to do. Amanda also made a comment that we better have all balloons down and the party cleaned up 15 mins after the ending party time. (So be aware of the time you'll need to get everything out of the building) Aside from these things my son genuinely enjoyed his party. While there is room for improvement on the coordination of birthday parties (before and during) I can confidently say I would recommend hosting a party here as the fun definitely outweighed the few hiccups we had during it.

I will say from the outside this venue does look a little shady, many of my guest had trouble finding the right entrance but they all gave compliments when indoors, as this place has so much cool stuff once inside.
