I had a very unprofessional and frustrating experience with this tax service. Jason agreed to set up an appointment with me, and I went through every step they asked for--signing up through the TaxDome app, filling out forms, and providing all of my personal and dependent information. At first, they were very responsive, which made me feel comfortable moving forward. But on the day of my appointment, Jason suddenly canceled and told me they could no longer provide a service to me. After I had already provided sensitive information, they said they would delete everything. The whole situation felt extremely unsettling. To make things worse, I tried calling multiple times after receiving the cancellation message, and they didn't answer or return a single call. That lack of communication only made the situation feel even more suspicious. Don't be fooled by the 5‑star reviews. My experience was the complete opposite--last‑minute cancellation, zero professionalism, and no accountability. After everything, it honestly felt like a scam. read more

Jason Huynh was patient as I explained my rather complicated tax issue. He was very clear in terms of the process and what to expect, which I appreciated. Jason was in contact with me through each step of the way, and I was very pleased with the outcome. Jason amended my return and included specifics to IRS as to where the confusion was and that it was corrected accordingly. Jason has offered to help further in the case that IRS needs more clarification. I have battled with IRS for two years and am very grateful that Jason was able to figure it all out. read more

Empyreal Accountancy - Tax Services Near Me - San Jose, California

I found Empyreal Accountancy through Yelp (thank you Yelp!) and after reviewing several companies, I selected this one. Within a few hours, Jason called me, and we connected. I explained to him that I was waiting on a few tax documents and as soon as I had them, I would upload them through their portal. It was an efficient process for me to upload documents and the portal program walked me through each step and followed up with reminders! As soon as I had all the documents in, I noted it was complete and they began working on my taxes. Maria reached out to me with a question which I answered promptly and I think it was less than a week before they had my returns done. This was the earliest I've ever submitted!!! Jason had me choose a time on his calendar to go over taxes with him and Maria on a Zoom call before submitting to the IRS. It was very easy - everything they do: from the way they speak with me to the programs I interacted with were efficient and professional. Their prices were reasonable as well and I felt like I received good value for what I paid. Being new to this area I went with someone last year who charged me a fortune and I wasn't going with them again. I'm so glad I found Jason! I will be a returning customer for sure. read more

I used to file tax myself. This is the first year I file tax with Alexis. No word can't describe how much helpful she is. I wish I know her sooner. She is really friendly and knowledgeable. She's able to answer all of my questions and also give me some of tips on how to keep track my tax income for the future. We spent about 30 minutes for my tax. She explained each section on my tax while double check before filling it. 5 on service, easy to schedule. Thanks again and see you next year read more

Jason was very patient and professional. Our return was completed promptly and efficiently. Jason came to our home to review the return before filing. I would have given a 5-star score if Jason office was available, but he is working on a solution. It worked out fine with Jason meeting us and coming to our home. I will definitely use the Empyreal Group again! read more

I recommend this group to everyone. They clearly explained to me the tax solution for my case.

I first heard of Empyreal Group from a friend that use their services. I own my own business and need my yearly taxes done, little did I know I would be hit with surprise taxes and added expenses due to not filing properly in the last few years. Jason is the accountant that helped me through strategizing future tax plans while stabilizing my current taxes. Yearly Tax, quarterly Tax and amending 2019. We were able to minimize the blow and come up with a plan. They also set me up as a LLC to reduce liability to me personally. I would recommend this group if you have your own business or need your taxes done, I would even add from my experience that financial planning with Jason is a step in the right direction. read more

My experience with "Empyreal Group" for my takes was amazing. They made the process pleasant, while also being fast and simple. I had the pleasure of working with Alexis, she was very professional, easy to talk to, and very quick with responses. This year was my first time working with them and I definitely plan on coming back next year. I just sent her all my information which she was able to confirmed within a few minutes. If there was additional information she needed she was clear with her directions and where I could find the correct information. What made this experience even nicer was it all being from the comfort of my own home like other services, but with the benefits of the one on one experience without all the extra cost. Very effortless, and headache free would highly recommend. read more

First time ever that my tax situation has been complex enough to need help from someone who knows what they're doing (as opposed to just winging it on my own on turbo tax). So glad I asked Jason for help! He took the time to explain everything to me, helped me understand how to maximize my refund, helped me get deductions I didn't even know I was eligible for, and gave me tips on how I can prepare for next year as well. Price was totally reasonable - I'll definitely be coming back next year. read more

Jason and Alexis did an excellent job with my tax return. Great communication with me as they were working on it, very responsive with my answers to their questions in order to maximize my tax refund and they were able to finish and file the return in just a couple of days. Also very reasonable pricing for their services. In addition they were very accommodating considering the fact that I live close to SF and they are based in Milpitas.
