Many clients rave about her professionalism, thoroughness, and reliability over the years. Sadly, my experience was the complete opposite and one of the most frustrating and costly I've ever had with a tax professional. We hired her specifically because of those glowing reviews, but she completely ghosted us throughout the entire process. We sent all requested documents promptly and followed up repeatedly via email, often with no response for weeks. When she did finally reply, it was only with excuse after excuse: she was out of the country, then claimed she never received our documents (despite our delivery confirmations), followed by more vague delays and no progress. She explicitly promised to provide regular updates during the process so we would know where things stood. She never once followed through on that promise. As a result, she did not complete any of the agreed upon work, our tax return was never filed on time, and we were hit with extra IRS penalties and interest that we could have easily avoided with a reliable preparer. Worse, I've seen a troubling pattern in some of her other reviews: when clients raise similar issues about poor communication, delays, or unfinished work, her responses show a clear pattern of lying, downplaying legitimate complaints, making excuses, or outright denying problems instead of owning up to them. Do not trust Sarada Majumder with your taxes or accounting. What appears to be a highly recommended professional based on online reviews can turn into a nightmare of unresponsiveness, broken promises, and financial consequences. This was an expensive and stressful mistake. Save yourself the hassle, penalties, and frustration by choosing someone who actually communicates and delivers on their commitments. I will be filing IRS Form 14157 A (Tax Return Preparer Fraud or Misconduct Affidavit) along with Form 14157 to report her misconduct to the IRS Return Preparer Office. Then she preceded to tell me since she just gotten the new ein number it would take another 5 business days! After two weeks I was asking when they will be done. I know they were slammed and trying to buy time or charge me for that time. I was right when they finally called that they were ready after 2.5 weeks they said my invoice was $1900!! They processed twenty-eight 1099s for me. I was flabbergasted. I said to the front lady Patty which I am sure she is use to swindling people for the Chan's that I was not told it would be more. She said oh yes sweetie we charge by the hour. When the invoice finally came in there were no hours listed!! It was just a straight preparing and rechecking etc all for $1900. I said I'm not paying. I ended up doing my own 1099 through a phone call with Intuit. How long did it take me less than 2 hours! And I'm a novice with QuickBooks. If I can figure it out anyone can. Before using this, as a matter of fact, I used to go to H&R Block and Liberty Tax for my annual tax filing service. However, some of H&R Block branches let me down not just because of their price, but because of their unprofessional attitude. Some of them directly told me that they could not file my tax documents (I was an international grad student at that time; it seemed to me they had no idea of how to deal with such an exceptional case. However, definitely they can do it only if they try to make a little effort to read IRS TAX policies or documents (this is their job!!), but they never even tried to do it because they want to get more customers at such a prime season.). However, since I used this service, my annual recurrent headache has been clearly disappeared. The account is really kind and professional. She made an attempt to resolve such kind of complicated issues as best as she can and definitely figured them out very professionally and fast with a very competitive price!!.
