Paul Federick Soto does not keep his word. I really feel like I was scammed-- didn't give me the service I was told and over paid for. The guys office is bear and looked very unprofessional/questionable? That's the overall feeling I got, should have gone with my instincts. Unfortunately, I trusted another business owner that had great reviews and referred me to this guy but turns out, they maybe just know each other. I will let her know what a scam Paul Federick Soto is. From the simplest thing, I caught him red handed lying to me that he does everything digitally and no hard copy. Says he was going to upload everything after I leave his office. He thought I was already gone but I was still waiting for my ride downstairs, surprised! Should have seen the look on his face. Then said he was coming back to do it. And guess what, till the very end, never uploaded. Came to him for audit help/questions. For an accountant, he's very scattered brain and unorganized. You would think someone who claims to have so much experience and knowledge would have simple excel sheets set up as a templates that can easily be modified anywhere from 3, 5, 10 years and so on. Nope, VERY limited knowledge and inefficient from what I personally witnessed and experienced. Took him 3 days to correct, redo, change the spreadsheets and I even joked that I was auditing the accountant. Meanwhile, I'm being charged for him having to correct his own mistakes because again, he's was so unorganized-- RED FLAG! It turns out, I wasn't joking, he was making those mistakes and I knew I made a mistake coming to Paul Federick Soto accounting services. One of the Biggest mistake I've made ever. I'm writing this so at least others will not make the same mistake I did. Yep, don't be scammed like me and waste your money for bad and unethical service. Asked him what happened to the uploaded soft copies of my docs, said he never did it, whaaat? After all his claims of everything being digital? I can't believed I was lied to my face and you could see the embarrassment on his face. Find someone you can better trust with a better reputation and experience. His friend will now know NOT to refer anyone else to avoid giving a bad name for herself, that's my hope. It's sad that people are that unethical and untrustworthy when you need them most. He also will meet you online via Zoom as well, and prefers that method due to COVID restrictions. I actually got the wrong time for my yearly appointment with him yesterday (Sunday), and while leaving a message, the secretary picked up, thanked me for notifying them that I would miss the scheduled appointment, Mark was mainly booked until mid next month, and doesn't see anyone on Mondays, but was willing to make an exception for today (Monday). I really appreciate that he was willing to see me despite the missed appointment. The appointment went well as usual. I was able to tell him some things about some of the forms and he asked me some questions about my prior year, which he also told me I could do business deductions and we went through a tiny list of things that we could deduct. I generally scan all my stuff into PDF format where I don't have a digital copy and just hand him a flash drive with all the stuff for him to use (he will scan physical documents for you if it comes down to it). Given that he now has a digital portal, you can probably upload the docs there instead.
